hmm that sounds crazy. idk how this could be.....
but what you can do is:
1. download sony pc companion software & reset, repair or update the phone if avaiable.
=> if still bootloader unlock allowed: NO then:
2. download & install flashtool. after iit install install its drivers from flashtool/drivers folder (need your phone driver + fastboot + flash driver) optional: install android SDK. (just leave all it is & press install packages.) if you done, flash a stockICS.ftf (<= firmware) like shown on this page: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Android-development/GUIDE-How-to-Install-Jelly-Bean-ICS-Ice-Cream-Sandwich-and/td-p/154389 (you can download the firmware there, just make sure you choose your model right. use ICS .587) (boot once)
now look if bootloader unlock allowed....
if still : NO, then maybe ask your carrier where u get this phone. normally if your contract is end, they unlock your device for free (its here like that.)
you can also try just to request a code from sony site & try to unlock it maybe you are lucky. (you said you was allowed on pre version)
good luck!!!
the thing is if your bootloader locked = no cutom kernels = NO JB or KK rom for you. only stock based custom roms for locked bl...

still check this link
http://droid-maniac-milan.blogspot.in/2012/04/how-to-unlock-bootloader-in-xperia.html
the below is copied from the link i gave you.
FOR XPERIA X10/ X8/ PRO/ X10 MINI ONLY
Before unlocking bootloader you should check whether it is safe to unlock or not.
For that:
1. download s1tool >>you can download it HERE<<
2. Run the downloaded program and click "identify" button on top right corner.(Don't connect your device)
3. Now switch off your device and connect to PC pressing and holding back button in your device.
4. If it says "SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE", then you can proceed further for unlocking bootloader.
#NOTE: Proceed only if your device passes the above requirement.
Steps to unlock bootloader in your device
1. Download flash-tool V0.6.8.0 >>you can get it HERE<< and run
turn on your USB debugging on device [setting>applications>development>usb debuging]
2. Connect you device and wait until it recognizes your device
3. Then click "plugin > bootloader unlock> run"
4. Then you will get a message in which says "to switch off your device and connect to PC pressing and holding back button in your device" and do it.
5. The unlocking process will begin. Wait until Flashtool ask you to disconnect the cable off
the phone, then turn on the device and connect the usb cable once again
6. Then flash tool says ā€¯Successfully applied unlock Rebootingā€¯
7. Then your bootloader is unlocked
Now to check whether bootloader is unlocked or not
2. Run s1tool and click "identify" button on top right corner.(Don't connect your device)
3. Now switch off your device and connect to PC pressing and holding back button in your device.
4. Then under "PLEASE ATTACH TURNED OFF PHONE NOW" this line
we can see: RUNNING S1_EROM VER "r8A033" , in which "r" should be in small letter now
5. This says you have unlocked bootloader
i installed custom rom xperia S. unlocked bootloader and works fine for me..no other issues...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516960
but now i am stuck in a new trouble...i re locked the bootloader..i dont knw why on earth i did that..waiting for the help of experts here)
Thanks. It's unlocked now. Now I want to flash wolf's rom. Do I need to flash kernel also
I am assuming your phone can be bootloader unlocked and you have unlocking key from sony.

yes, turn off your phone then connect USB while pressing specific key.
same applies for fastboot method
When I am installing drivers, I am getting "don't install or install anyway", I choose install anyway but the same window comes up again. Should my phone be turned on, off or in flashmode or something?

Yes I checked, it can be unlocked
If you have installed Flashtools and its drivers correct you shouldn't get any driver prompts when plugging the phone in
Assuming you did a default install browse to C:\Flashtool\drivers and execute the drivers file. Make sure you select the drivers for you phone ie "Xperia U" and scroll to the bottom of the list and select Flashboot and Fastboot drivers. From what I have seen so far most people are not installing these 3 drivers.
karimkahale: I would go back to the Sony website and get your unlock code again. Maybe you entered some wrong details...

Thanks a million, but would my warranty be void immediately after I unlock the bootloader, what's the regulation about this matter, I'd like to keep my warranty.
---------- Post added at 10:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:45 AM ----------
If i relocked the boot loader the warranty wouldn't be void, right?
Not quite;
It all depends on your repairman...
The standard, though, is, that the warranty is valid if the guys at the repair center can flash a stock ROM (.ftf) onto the phone. Some phones can do this without their bootloader being locked, but some can't do this after their bootloaders are unlocked, even if they are locked back afterwards...
Now, I have a question:
I'm having the same error as karimkahale...
Whatever I do, I get that stupid error, and not even Sony can help me (their support team (that needs a week to reply to a simple e-mail) said that thy don't know how to help)...!
Thanks a lot for the guide, it was really helpful!
Cheers!

Hi Guys. I own a Branded (O2) Xperia P on stock 6.1.B.0.5.44 ICS.
I am trying to access fastboot so I am able to install a unbranded stock rom on my Stock Handset.
To do this; i know i have to access fastboot however i am unable to do so. I have tried every method possible however my handset still goes into charging mode (Hold Volume down then insert usb, Volume up then insert usb, Both volume keys then insert USB)
Just to let you lot know I have read through every thread related to users not being able to access Fastboot however I still haven't found a solution on how to Access It. I have tried manually installing the fastboot drivers however I still wasen't able to access fastboot.

I tried but my Sony Xperia P says Unlock Bootloader Allowed: NO. So i cannot unlock it through sony ericsson dev.
Hi Dev's,
verified the bootloader can be unlocked via *#*#7378423#*#*
installed the fastboot, flashmode & sony xperia z ultra drivers from the flashtool 0.9.18.2 installer (flashtool.net)
on windows 8.1 with deactivated driver compatibility check.
Now i've tried all 3 methods to enter into fastboot mode from here
(theandroidsoul.com/sony-xperia-z-ultra-fastboot-mode)
via volume up + usb in, adb & quick boot reboot (even if the device is not rooted at the moment)
, but no success. The device always starts into flashmode, and this is the only state being recognized by the flashtool in windows. All hardware keys are working fine.
Any more ideas how to enter fastboot? I am really stucked at the moment.
Thank you!
what does it do on vol down and usb in?
You are doing this from a powered off state?
Hi,
I really tried every method and button combination. it is just the same as in this thread I found later.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716418
Seems like the fastboot mode is being hardware locked or something.
I return the device tomorrow, and check a new one (if I get) with android 4.2 stock Rom.

search the internet or XDA newflasher_v13 tool and place all 7 files in the C: users / name / .flashTool / firmwares / Download / 47.2.A.4.41_R4C folder
connect the device in flash mode
launch the .exe command
press "n" and again "n"

From the use I note that the recovery doesn't read the internal data, but only the sd card. I still don't understand if it's the firmware that has bugs or the twrp that still isn't calibrated for Adroid Pie.
Edit: I found in the XDA site the recovery for the new firmwre and everything works fine here

Sorry, but the requirement is always with unlocked bootloader? Thanks
Wait... I'm confused. I need an unlocked bootloader for this correct? Also, am I missing a step? I can't seem to unlock the bootloader. I have the key from Sony, but whenever I turn off the phone and try to enter bootloader mode (volume up + usb charger), the notification light turns blue, and that's it. Nothing appears on my screen, if I type fastboot devices, no devices appear as listed. And if I try to run the line of code, I'm just stuck "waiting for device" and nothing happens? Am I being stupid and missing something? Don't remember having this many issues with my htc m9.

Hmm, I think I know why it wasn't working? I got the xperia xz1 drivers off of the sony developer website, and I went to device manager and tried to do the legacy driver install, but I keep getting "This device cannot start (code 10)" Maybe that's the issue? I was under the impression that flash tool is used to get the latest version of the pi (which I already have as the update rolled out a few days ago)? Not for unlocking the bootloader? As for my bootloader, I'm stuck on that step. I'm following sony's steps on unlocking the bootloader, however, I'm stuck on the fastboot as my device isn't recognized. I guess I'll try again from the top, uninstall all the current drivers and reinstall them again.
I also want to add, whenever I plug my phone in into bootloader mode, the pc does recognize that a device is connected as the notification pops up, but again, "fastboot devices" returns nothing. Is there supposed to be a screen for the bootloader? Or is it just a black screen with the blue led?

Absolutely no, flashtool doesn't need to unlock the bootloader, rather serves to re-lock it in some xperia devices. To unlock it you have to use cmd commands in adb & fastboot, but you can find it here in the XZ1 section.
The cell screen remains black and a blue led appears if you connect in fastboot mode, if you connect in flash mode the screen remains black, but a green LED appears.
if you have problems with the recognition of the device on your PC I can link my guide, it's in italian but if you use google translator you understand it well here
