Hello,
How do I get version 3 of clockwork mod, when i check in rom manager it only shows versions 2.x as available.
in the rom manager ,it is only 2.5.0.7.it's normal.
Can i just flash rom manager for clockwork and then boot into recovery when phone is off?
Hi everyone,
After a lot of searching (even though the searching tool is pretty bad or I don't understand how to use it) I decided that i would install CyanogenMod 7.2 in my SGA (S5830).
When I got to the part of installing it, I read I had to use CWM ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583871 ). I know that I can install CWM through Rom Manager, but I've read in many places that Rom Manager bricks SGA.
After searching a bit more i got to his thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1225493&highlight=clockworkmod which actually confused me a lot but made me learn that CWM manager exists.
So:
- To use CWM am I suposed to install CWM manager?
- Does CWM manager has options like Rom Manager to saver current roms and those things? (Mainly because i read a nice Rom manager tutorial and it would be nice if i could apply it to CWM manager)
- Is "CWM5 Recovery" included in CWM manager?
- Any recommendation (optional, lol)
Thanks for your attention and possible answer
DON'T USE rom manager, it bricks the ace
You don't have to install the ROM manager app if you wanna flash a ROM. Just flash cmw5 from stock recovery (Menu + Power at startup.) and reboot to recovery again then select flash zip select the ROM and reboot.
DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER!!!
IT IS ABOUT THE ONLY THING THAT CAN BRICK AN ACE!!
Welcome to the ace community hope you have an "Aceing" time!
I succesfully flashed the rom. Thank you for your answers
I installed CWM ROM Manager and installed the Cyanogen mod through it.
Still, while booting I don't have any prompt to choose the ROM and the device boots into Cyanogen. Is there any way to boot into my stock ROM without flashing it back?
