[Q] S3 touchscreen problem after flashing - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys I need a help, my S3 touchscreen is not responding, the screen is normal but when I touch there is nothing happen, I think the problem is when i want to install CWM using odin, when the flash completed the screen got unknown error. Then I flash using stock ROM and no luck, also booting time is take a longtime not as ussual. what should I do?

Usually happens after flashing a firmware/recovery for the wrong model of S3, if screen is still not working in recovery then you'll need a new screen assembly as the digitizer in the old one is blown.

Hello Guys, sorry to disturbing you but I have a bit maybe serious problem. Please help me! I have HTC HD2 and I put a unofficial ROM to the HD2. I don't know what's happened but I have problem with my screen. Seems like display not reacting for touch. and I cannot put back original custom rom... (Basically I cannot touch screen because is not reacting..I have to go to phones4u where I have phone from. What you think is gonna be a problem because I have a unofficial Rom in the phone? Or is there any way how to put back official rom without using phone ???
why cant you put the original rom back on?
you can boot into bootloader and flash from there, or simply let the phone boot, and flash from teh pc, you dont need to touch the screen.

[Q] Another Screen Problem turned *All Black*

Hi!
My i9100g is facing another screen related problem. Flashed it with a official firmware and colors got back and it was functioning well but suddenly i couldnt turn it on.
Then i realized that it starts normally but the screen is not functioning. It shows a column of different colors on the left side for sm time when i reboot it, but then it stays black!
I've no idea if it is a firmware problem(unlikely) or should i change the screen.
Help please!
Did you flash a G firmware?. Can you hey into download mode and flash a correct one.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I flashed the "G" firmware and it was working fine for days before this sudden black out :S
What exact firmware did you flash . It would be worth a reflash with a different firmware download .
jje
I flashed the latest firmware for Tunisia! i dont know if i will be able to flash anythg since it is totally black and i dont know if it gets into the boot mode or no!

[Q] GT i9300 Urgent Help

Good Evening/Hello/Hi,
I own a Samsung Galaxy S III GT-i9300 International Version. I recently started experimenting with roms and cwm and i think i ended up in a dark tunnel. I rooted my phone and installed clockwork (cf auto root) and then tried installing KitKat Rom 4.4 but kept failing each time i entered recovery and tries to flash it. by reading other posts it was suggested to use a higher version of cwm as i was using a 5.0.4.6 version. after trying a later version the rom flashed and also the gaps without any problem. however after booting i realized i had no service, but the phone seemed ok. i decided to flash modem_XXDME4 and Modem DDEMG2 in recovery after reading some posts to get signal back. that's when the trouble started, when the phone rebooted i could not get pass the setup screen to select language, touch is not responding up to this time, i reflashed stock rom, it booted and still no touch , cant get pass the start screen of the language selection. my phone never fell and the creen has no sign of falling. any help would be greatly appreciate.....:crying::crying:
Thank You

[Q] Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 hard bricked

Hi guys, I`m new to this forum and I wouldn`t be posting this topic if I found a solution on other forums. If anyone had a problem like mine, or saw a thread before, I would appreciate if you pasted a link to the solution, or gave some kind of advice.
First of all, I`m new to rooting, custom roms, etc., so I guess that whatever I did, it was my fault. I got this Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100) as a gift, and since i already had a phone, I wanted to take a risk and take a shot at installing a lollipop rom. I watched a few tutorials, it seemed simple enough, so i thought why the hell not, but in the process something went wrong...
Sooo... here is what I`ve done:
1.) Rooted my phone with VROOT
2.) Flashed custom recovery with ODIN. I`m not sure which version of CWM it was, 6.0.4.5 I think (the file is named CWM KitKar compatible-I9100). When I flashed CWM, my phone didn`t boot up. All I got was a Samsung Galaxy logo and a yellow triangle for a few seconds before my screen went black again, but I could still access both recovery mode and download mode using the combination of keys.
3.) And then I did what I think screwed up my phone. I thought maybe flashing a lollipop rom through recovery would solve the issue (maybe the recovery is incopatible with my older stock rom and it`s the reason why my phone isn`t booting). So i flashed CM12 from galaxys2root.com. It`s called CM12.1S ROM for Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 (Andorid 5.1)
Not only it didn`t solve my problem, I still can`t get my phone to boot (now I get a samsung logo and a yellow triangle, but screen doesn`t go black after a few seconds, I left it in this state till the battery ran out and still nothing). And on the top of all things, I can`t get my phone to recovery mode anymore, all I get is the yellow triangle. I can still get it into download mode, but it doesn`t connect with my PC anymore. It charges, but I can`t connect it with ODIN anymore. And the weirdest thing is, when I connect it to PC, my other USB port goes crazy and disconnect my USB Wi-Fi adapter
What went wrong? Any advice is highly anticipated. :good:

Bootloop after lcd replacement

Hi all. A friend gives me a Redmi Note 3 (MTK) for replacing the lcd and touch. But, after replacing those parts, the Redmi won't turn on, and goes Bootloop on MI logo. I tried to go in recovery mode, but not work. I downloaded the leatest hennessy stable image (fastboot version) from xiaomi and then I correctly flashed him with SP Flash Tool, but the bootloop seems remaning. I also tried to flash the xiaomi.eu V 7.5.1.0 (Quaze) and the V 7.2.3.0 (JamFlux) without preloader check, but the result is the same: bootloop.
What I can do? I didn't touch anything about software before this problem! I simply follow a guide for replacing the LCD screen (isn't my first time for replacing LCD in smartphones), I unmount anything and then re-mount, but the problem still the bootloop. I don't understand what to do. The phone has locked bootloader (the user didn't made anything with it), but goes in fastboot mode. There's any command to know what is wrong whit this redmi? I'm really furios, this is my first broken smartphone for repairing, but it isn't mine... And i'm in trouble... HELP ME!

sorry but I think only way to see if the problem is in the display is getting another MTK device and try to test this one motherboard in other device with original display.
UPDATE: Tried to change the flex motherboard to usb port cable (seems damaged) but stills on bootloop. I have acces to fastboot, there's someone with a big heart that tells me any hoping question or solution?
Sorry can't really help but AFAIK there is a amount of different components used in our Xiaomi phones. Different lcds, different fingerprint etc etc.... Maybe your new Display is from a different manufacturer and that's why u got a bootloop.. maybe flashing a new rom could help because it uses other software ?!
Same problem. I just disassembled and assembled the phone (I was looking for a way to replace a broken touch). Seems like failed boot checks for device response (glass was broken a month ago but the phone was rebooted recently)
