Can't get USB OTG to work on rooted GS4Z Help - Samsung Galaxy S 4 Zoom

I can't get USB OTG to work with my rooted S4 Zoom. I have tried several apps to try find it, no luck. The USB stick is not being powered, maybe that is the problem, but I have plugged it into a mains powered USB hub, and then connected that to the phone, no luck. Anyone who knows, or has an idea of how to solve this, please help!

USB OTG doesn't work firmware 2.3.3

I have an s2 with O2 in the UK. Iam trying to get usb on the go working but with no sucsess. THe cable I have one from Mobilefun Product Reference: 29842 and am using the latest o2 firmware 2.3.3. I plug it in but nothing no usb host cable connected and if I plug a memory stick in still nothing. Does anyone now what the problem could be??
no one got any ideas
Are you using a proper USB OTG cable; i.e. are pins 4 & 5 on the micro USB connected to each other? It's possible Mobilefun may have shipped you the wrong cable, or a defective one; a couple seconds with a multimeter should tell you if the cable's OK.
Also, the SGS2 doesn't provide much in the way of current on the USB port. If your memory stick is particularly thirsty for electrons, it may not work. Try some other memory sticks and/or USB card readers.
I've also found that it seems to work a bit better if you plug the memory stick into the cable before you plug the cable into the SGS2.
BUMP!
I have the same problem exactly. Does anyone have an answer to this?
I have the SGS2 from O2 with Android 2.3.3. I bought a cable from eBay but I cannot get it to recognise anything :-( I have tried 2 usb memory sticks, a card reader with and SD card inserted, a usb hub, a mains powered usb hard drive and digital camera; nothing is recognised by the phone.
It's so annoying because this was one of the features that drew me to the S2 over the Sensation XE.
Please can anyone provide some insite into this? I have done some searching on Google and mainly can find that people are having problems getting this to work with 2.3.5 butI cannot find any other info.
I have just rooted my phone so I can flash a new ROM if there is one that has working USB OTG.
Has the OP rooted his S2? Maybe rooting could be the cause of the problem?
I found this today when searching the forums >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1246116&highlight=usb+otg
Could the USB OTG issue be down to the kernel used to root the device?
I've just ordered a new cable from eBay in the hope that it is simply a cable issue.

i know that but i live in algeria there is not who i can buy it
Well you said you've tested different USB devices with it, and you've also tested it on 3 different phones. Which obviously means the cable itself is cactus.
Not really anything you can do about it.
A quick Google search for 'repair USB OTG cable" brings up a bunch of results, some of which detail how to repair USB cables (apparently). Looks like you have a lot of research/work to do if you can't buy another one then.
I've got a similar problem with OTG USB driver on SGN.
I bought OTG cable which work fine when I connect pendrive device, but doesn't work when i try to connect usb mouse, keyboard, pad ect.
It worked when I had a stock samsung software 4.0.3, but I changed it because of its battery drain problem. I've installed 4.0.4 Paranoid Android v05 (CM9). I found in Market application USB Host Controler, and itshows "S3C USB Host driver NOT found!".
Is it possible to add this driver to OS ? Or is there any other way to use external hardware device like mouse or keyboard?

Flash drive on USB hub not working.

Hi there.
I got my Galaxy S3 about 3 days ago and love almost everything about it.
I've been experimenting heavily with USB OTG, and it's such a great feature to have. I have got a Mouse, keyboard and USB flash drive all working over the USB OTG cable. I can also get the Mouse and Keyboard connected at the same time over a USB hub. However, USB flash drives refuse to work over a hub on USB OTG, even though they work directly from the phone to the USB. This is pretty confusing to me, considering two higher power devices work over the hub.
I've tried two different varieties of hub, both giving the same result and have also tried two flash drives. I'm using an un-powered hub and I honestly don't see how just because I'm using a hub the USB Flash drive isn't working. There is no way that it can have a higher power usage than a mouse/keyboard at the same time.
Just to note, I'm using the hub unpowered externally, it's going directly into the phone. I can't seem to find the power cable to try.
I have the UK (GSM) variant of the phone in blue and am running on the Stock 4.0.4 ICS firmware (i9300XXLF2) and haven't tried to root or anything.
Could someone suggest what might be the issue I'm having, or some things to try?
Thanks

(Q) Doubt about I9100 and USB HUB OTG.

Hey everyone,
I just ordered an USB HUB device and I tested it on both my PC and my tablet (Nexus 7), and everything worked flawlessly (tested with mouse, keyboard, usb stick and gamepad usb at the same time and everything worked fine on both devices).
When it came to the Galaxy S2, for some reason only the USB memory stick works, while it gives power to the keyboard/mice/pad but doesn't recognize them or something.
I've tried all those separated one by one and they all work without a problem with the same OTG cable I am using for this. I also tried a keyboard/mouse combination with PS2 ports and an USB adapter into my SGS2 via OTG and both works at the same time..
Anyone knows what could be the problem here? I can't understand why SGS2 can handle mouse/mice at the same time via PS2-USB-OTG converter but not via USB-HUB-OTG, while they work for separated (and the entire combination works via PC and Nexus 7).
I checked and people reports they all work in the sgs2 too, and I can see videos with keyboard/mice usb hub working.. ¿what can be happening here? Maybe my USB Hub is for some reason not complatible with sgs2?
The USB hub I'm using is this one:

Thanks a lot in advance!
Anyone?

Ainol Novo 7 Paladin USB OTG Doesn't work

Hello guys,
I'm having a problem with my Paladin.
I bought USB OTG cable and it look's like it doesn't work. When I connect any of 3 pendrives only one will blink but still no result in tablet.
I've tried runing it many times but without luck. USB OTG Helper shows theres No Drives Found!.
I saw person got it working: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiBli8zBwsc but I cannot understand him.
Do you have any idea how to get it to work ?
Forgot, to tell. It does supply 5V via USB. As USB Hub is lightning works and pendrive led does work too.
Maybe missing drivers in android ?
