You realize that benchmarking a phone is pointless and will never yield a true accurate result due to all the variables right?

Man just let people play! If you want to know i got a 40629.

Nice catch (corrected).Auto correct on the G3 is weird at best. LOL
It keeps replacing "me." with "i.e." and it's driving me nuts.

Can't wait for full development.

After turning "on" Thermal DAE Mitigation OFF and simple tweaks.

I have a question, how do you guys get benchmarks that high? This is the last one I did and it is not so good.

What does turning off Thermal Mitigation do? Where is that setting?

Its in the hidden menu but you have to use Shortcut Master to get to it.
It can cause overheating so I would use coolify and greenify if you do it.
Sent from my LGLS990 using XDA Free mobile app

Thermal Mitigation is LG's thermal governor and I do NOT suggest disabling it for daily use. When you disable both Thermal DAE and High Temp Prop your devices frequency (speed) wont be reduced under thermal pressure (enable SOC if you disable them... It'll protect your device if it does reach ridiculous temps... In which it WILL) Wherever you're clocked at, its locked in.
I also have Dynamic LCD gov disabled/locked @60fps... plus more tweaks to get my latest BM. Secret is... Touch everything and tweak a lot.
Look at that one.

Anyone give seeder a shot for lag?

Edit.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda premium
Android doesn't have lag. It suffers from low framerate at times, but latency is not the issue.
That said, the only place I ever see low framerate is when I have a huge widget list to scroll through.

Okay, just gave 1.1 a shot. Apps are in fact loading up faster when pressed but that's the only thing I notice so far. Can't have a final say on anything else because it's so hard to tell on a Quad Core device with Jelly Bean. But thanks for letting us know of this.
Haven't tried it myself but....
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/entropy-seed-generator-not-all-its-hacked-up-to-be/
There are valid concerns about lag and how the Android OS handles them, and there is discussion currently ongoing within the Android Code about this, but this fix does not address those issues and instead gives performance gains through boosting CPU speed. The developer himself stated that this could in effect reduce battery life, since the hack is waking the CPU every second.

I haven't noticed any battery difference on either device. Its also tough to say whether or not it did much for the Note 2 because this phone is already butter stock (with the occasional hiccup)

I grabbed this a few days ago when you mentioned it on CTO (thanks buddy). I notice apps opening noticably faster when it's running. I have it set to "start automatically on boot" but any time I "remove all" from a home button long press, which I do after I've been on my phone for a while, the app stops running and I forget to restart it. I wish it would persist that.

I gave it a try but I feel the Note 2 is so freaking fast already that it wasn't necessary, with that said, there are definitely many other phones that I've owned where I noticed slowness immediately after rooting, so for those phones I wish I had this.

Not bad for a placebo app
I tried explaining the the thread that Steve Kondik isn't endorsing the app like they think he is. He performed his own tests, with his own compiled code and saw some inexplicable results.
Seeder didn't do anything for him on any device he has.
A moderator deleted it though, conveniently. They of course left behind the part where CM is allegedly endorsing it though.

Active notifications

There is an app on the play store that emulates Motorola's new active notifications now I know that the reason that works is because of the amoled screen. Does anyone know if the same level of battery efficiency will work with our screens as on the motoX? It works well and is really cool but I keeps the screen on.

Yea I am using it on my Verizon Note 2 running Paranoid Android 3.96 and the battery consumption is very low if not any more than a usual app and is updated everyday or two...I am running it on a 4.3 rom so I don't know how it is on 4.1 and 4.2 roms as the developer just released it for 4.1 and 4.2 roms

Well they're listed as being used for 'contextual awareness' and'natural language' so maybe the contextual processor has something to do with it. this all depends though on how those processors operate on a firmware level. big difference if they are simply nonconputing but aware cores used to activate the main application processors like most sensor processors or they actually run specific software actions like Motorola seems to be alluding to with the nomenclature.
I would suggest running a hotplug governor to produce a similar effect.

almost every kernel that allows customization has some type of hotplug governor, although they don't always call it that. Hotplug simply means it only (should) turn on cores when they are needed. theoretically, that means your phone should only be running one core to display the active notifications. do your research on whatever kernel peaks your interest and try it out.

It is system with how it manages processor speed according to processor temp! No,It cannot harm your phone!
If you activate it will get right clock speed according to CPU temp. If CPU gets too hot it will lower CPU,so that CPU can get cooler and run smoothly! If your CPU gets too hot it can start to LAG on your system. I don't know why people force off it on E98x LG G Pro...???!!!
Principle is the same on CPU in phone as in computer/laptop. You all know that If CPU gets too hot or not cooled down enough it will get LAGY and start to throttle the system!

It's a zip that improves your overall phones responsiveness. Here is the page I used on xda

I remember the consensus being that this didn't really help that much. The perceived increase in responsiveness and/or smoothness was a result of this "mod" keeping the CPU ramped up...
Regardless, this "mod" has been implemented in some custom kernels, well at least the frandom parts.
Someone chime in if I'm wrong or you know better...

[Bounty] always listening voice recognition for AOSP ROMs.

One big feature that this phone is missing that I wish it had in it is the always on voice recognition that the moto x has. Upon getting this phone I assumed that I would be forever without this feature. However, upon doing some research I discovered that the snapdragon 800 processor has a dedicated voice recognition core just like the moto x, the only difference being that nobody has taken advantage of it. So, since I'm not a developer by any means, I decided that I would turn to the amazing developers here at XDA to see what they could whip up.
Requirements:
-Must work on AOSP ROMs. (I use Houston's PA 4.0)
-Must actually use the voice recognition core as to not demolish battery life.
-Preferably in a flashable zip (although not required)
-must work on all variants of those who pitched into bounty.
I will kick off the bounty with $15 to whomever can get this working.
Running total: $45
Ghstudent: $15
Jeev_one: $15
Pools200: $10
