I am kindly asking for help. I really want to have the newest firmware for my Ace but I am so confused by all these ROMs and CWMs and CFRoots etc. I have some knowledge about these things but I am new to Android. I see that flashing a new firmware with odin is not that complicated. But I have a problem. My phone is locked to Telenor network. Is it a problem? I dont know what is XXKA6 and can I install KPN?
Can I update???!!!
I don't know about the lock but KPL is for you its a Nordic version 2.3.3
*edit* Maby not, I didn't know telenor was in other country's than Nordics

hello everyone,
I'm currently using the stock orange france version of i9300....And yesterday, when I tried to flash the 4.1.1 official Jelly Bean i9300DLIB...everything seemed to be find, the signal is still there....BUT IT'S HOPELESS FOR ME TO MAKE ANY CALLS OR MESSAGES-not registered in network T^T....even through the signal is full and my phone can easily detect the SIM card
After that pain, I tried to find my way back to the stock rom from downloading (i forgot to do the nandroid backup but only imei backup) and all i found out is the "No signal" sign (circle with a cross) and it's still useless to make phone calls and messages before and after i restored the imei.
please help T^T....I'm one of many victims including my friends...

Okay first of all I am sorry if this is not the correct thread to be posting this question.
I have an At&t optimus g and I have been using it in Pakistan for quite some time now, and it worked flawlessly without any major problems. However, now in Canada the same phone doesnt receive network coverage and the service providor says that the connection fequency is not compatible with the phone.
Also, I rooted and bootloader unlocked my LGOG recently using FreeGee but ended up softbricking it, then later using teenybins I did recover it and flash the stock firmware. But I did not flash a baseband (dont know if i need to).
So, I think its either the baseband or radio (some regional problem) causing this problem but have no clue which one it actually is. Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou.
How did you unbrick it?

What band does the carrier use? (850, 1900, 2100, etc) it could be a compatibility issue with the carrier.

This is what I found out
The wind mobile network uses a frequency called AWS, with bands 1700/2100. The LGOG can support both these frequencies, i doubt it is a compatibility issue.
Or is it possible that currently it has no baseband whatsoever, and that i need to flash one? Really confused..

I used the e970 teenybin fix with tSilenzio's Automated LGNPST and the ls970 dll. However that did not cut it for me and I had to go ahead and use the "teenybin(AltBin)" which fortunately got me as far as the recovery. From there, obviously, I was able to flash roms.
Hope this helps.
Op, try flashing the stock att JB radio. If you were using it overseas then it's already unlocked, should work fine for 2g and 3g in Canada.

Hi (sorry for my english) I have LS990 device unlocked for a mexican carrier but no mobile data working
can someone help me with this?? :crying:
Most likely you will need the APNs from your carrier. Manually enter them, reboot, should be good to go.

How'd you unlock it? That maybe why, also check what types of bands your carrier(s) uses they maybe not be compatible with this phone. Here is a list of all supported networks (according to LG): GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS 850/1900/2100, LTE Bands 25/26/41

thanks for your time
You cannot flash non-verizon ROMs unless they have been ported. As far as connecting to your network, you must have the correct radios AND the APN settings, which vary by carrier.
