Root Xperia Pro android 2.3.4 (help) - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hello, I need to ROOT my Xperia Pro MK16i origo android 2.3.4.
I do not unlock the bootloader or change kernels, upload Roma and so I found a tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321582
I turned on USB debugging and installing unknown applications.
It is not by printscreen.
I tried Gingerbread and Frama root and failed.
Advise me with someone what is wrong and how to do it?
Thanks so much! for any advice!

the most easy way to flash custom rom is to unlock your bootloader first...then flash any custom kernel that have root and CWM pre-installed...then you can flash any custom rom without any problem....

I wouldn't do it with the kernel to flash, cause if something goes wrong you have the ray kernel on mini pro and you will have to try to unlock bootloader and flash other kernel. I would just flash the ftf file for .42 and root, run local-prop and upgrade to ics and run push-root-files.
had $tucked same situation

Okay, have you got latest flashtool installed? Please install all drivers for all phones and modes from flashtool installation folder -> drivers.
Turn phone off, take off battery, insert battery, hold volume down, connect usb, flash stock rom!
That should work, try it again.
Be sure the custom rom you flash is same as the base you used before. I mean if you flash an ics custom rom, you have to be on ics before, same on gingerbread
Thanks.............

How to flash it..i mean after downloading stock frimware where you put files in flas
plz tell me i have same problem of that ..
Please read this!!!
People with locked bootloaders please read this
u have installed a recovery mode (using x-parts or any other methods) to your system partition. When u flash a rom, it formats system partition. so u can't go back to recovery until u bootup and install it again. to get a permanent recovery, u have to unlock bootloader and flash a kernel that have a recovery mode (it's getting installed to your boot partition). so it won't get wiped by a rom flash.
Hello ravin
You gave us the reason, and a solution for unlocked bootloaders... The question is that the problem happens in locked ones.
Anyone knows how to solve this?
There are plenty of roms for Locked Bl, so it is just a questionvof method with the Cwm installation.
Thanks for your input!

ok so i did the same (did not flash kernel).................but now after flashing the .431 kernel via flashtool it is still not happening......it wont go past the sony logo..........when i try with SEUS it says i already have the latest software installed...........please help.
Flash whole stock firmware with flashtool so you are able to boot phone.
Then when you will know the right steps, put rom .zip into sd, flash the right kernel and finally install rom via cwm following dev's instructions.
To flash a custom kernel you need unlocked bootloader.

I happened to soft-brick my Neo V few days back after installing a custom ROM. Please read on to see what helped me get my Neo V up and running again.
If your phone is stuck at SONY logo, I doubt it will go into CWM recovery mode either. I had tried flashing stock kernel through Flashtool, and also tried the FOTA-Unbrick method via flashtool, but even that didn't help. Finally, I used the "repair" option in PC Companion which flashed Stock ICS ROM on my Neo V (however, all data on phone's internal memory was lost and my phone had to e rooted again). But at least my phone was recovered. Hope this will guide you.

Please read carefully :
U have to have a rooted and bootloader unlocked in phone to flash ROMs (OBVIOUS )
1)Copy the contents to your SDCARD of phone (ROM ZIP File + gapps ZIP)
2) Extract only the boot.img from the ROM zip to some location in your PC
3) Use Flashtool to flash the boot.img (FIRST THING TO DO)
3.a) Select Fastboot mode from flashtool
3.b) While the phone is connected, Click Fastboot phone using ADB.(Phone will restart and blue led will glow showing its in fast boot mode)
3.c) Now select the option, select kernel to flash in the window and chose the boot.img that is in the PC.
Now the flashtool automatically flashes the boot.img(which has the kernel included).
Unplug from PC and try to reboot.. On booting enter CWM mode and flash the ZIP already placed in the SDCARD(Ensure to follow the appropriate post to follow steps like clearing cache\Dalvik and system etc..).
HAPPY FLASHING

[Q] Xperia Mini Pro not starting up

Hi,
I unlocked my xperia mini pro and then tried the Fastboot Tool to flash the boot.img that belongs to CM 10. It was always failing with the Fastboot and the command prompt fastboot.
By mistake, I flashed another .img file and now the phone decided now to start up. Not even given any LED colour or so.
What can I do?
Thanks
What Rom did you flash. Second kernel did you flash ?
Device : Xperia Mini ST15i
Rom : Pureness V4
Kernel : Lupus V9
Mods : Beats audio + Walkman V7.5

Please flash a stock rom (ftf file) with flashtool first. If your device doesn't boot after this, then it is a real problem. Remember to wipe data.
Hi,
I started out by unlocking the bootloader and it worked fine.
I tried to boot the CM image file, it was always giving me an error in Fastboot mode saying that outside range or so.
Then I downloaded Rage and tried to fastboot that image, after several trials, I can no longer start my phone.
Thank you

There are download links in the sticked thread by someguyfromhell, download a ftf for your device
Open flashtool and click the flash, flashmode, select the ftf and click okay.
Now take out the battery of your phone, wait a few seconds, insert battery again, hold volume down, connect usb to pc while holding volume down, the green led will light up. The flashing process will start and when it's finished you will get a working rom again :good:
Or you could try to download a kernel for your device (like rage kernel), take off battery, insert it, hold volume up, connect it to pc while holding volume up, start flashtool, click the flash, fastboot mode, select the boot.img for your device, click ok. That's it

Yes, of course. For any further questions, just ask :good:
By the way: You first flashed rage kernel and after that the stock.ftf? Because the stock ftf has overwritten your rage kernel. You have to flash the kernel after the ftf

How would I use the backedup stock? What's the case, and how to restore, by just going to recovery and restore?
Thanks

If you have made a cwm backup of stock rom or stock based rom, then when you are on the fxp kernel, do not restore the backup. Firstly, if you want to restore the cwm backup then flash rage kernel or any stock ics based kernel and then go to restore in cwm. You cannot use stock rom with fxp kernel because the kernel configurations are for cm and not stock.
Press Thanks if I helped

Like the guys above said, flash rage kernel and afterwards restore the backup. This is if you want to come back to stock rom one time
I am on CM10 from FXP but made some changes by M66B (SK17 user too)
Look on my signature to download the last version of the extended ROM. Battery improvement on this ROM is one of the main features
Works the same or better than FXP one. The boot.img comes inside with the ROM zip file, just follow the steps listed by mihahn. Last version to this date is 202 ("~FXP202 features 1-3,7-9,12-13,23-24,26,28-38,40-42 (January 11, 2013)" that's the name of the zip file)

Xperia U 6.1.1.b.1.54 download?

Hi all, I updated my phone to 6.1.1.b.1.54 but then realised I couldnt root so went back to the firmware before fully - now I am wondering do I Need the full version of 6.1.1.b.1.54 after rooting? Or just the kernel?
Also how do I get CWM onto the phone?
There are so many guides etc, I've spent an hour or so googling it but perhaps someone in the know would find it easier?
thanks.

You need to flash the 6.1.1.B.10 kernel in order to root and install CWM
1) download flashtool here - http://androxyde.github.com/
2) download 6.1.1.B.10.ftf if u don't have it - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_d8uWGbkaeta1NFaWI0TlA5bzA/edit?usp=sharing
3) Open flashtool
4) Click flash
5) select the firmware
6) don't wipe anything
7) exclude everything except kernel.
8) click ok
9) Now switch off ur phone, hold the volume down button, connect it with pc and release the button. You'll enter into the flash mode
10) Now the kernel will be flashed.
11) after flashing is done, turn on ur phone and ur phone is ready to be rooted.
12) after rooting and installing CWM, open flashtool
13) flash b1.54 kernel in the way u've flashed b1.10. If u don't have b1.54, download from here - https://hotfile.com/dl/182170062/e1418fd/XPU_6.1.1.B.1.54.zip.html
that's it. ur done.
INSTALLING CWM RECOVERY
1) download CWM from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948455
2) Extract the zip file
3) After u've rooted ur phn, connect ur phone with USB debugging on.
4) run install.bat
5) wait for the command prompt to install.
You're done. To access the recovery reboot ur phone. When the song logo appears press the volume down button repeatedly until u enter into recovery...

Try framaroot again and see if it works. There was a Q&A part explaining your scenario where "Framaroot say Success but SuperSU is not installed after reboot".
Update: After using the search function, I found the CF- auto root designed for your firmware: http://download.chainfire.eu/24/CF-Root/SGS2/CF-Root-SGS2_XW_CLK_KF3-v4.0-CWM4.zip
Instructions - ODIN (long)
- Follow these instructions to the letter. Do not touch any buttons or checkboxes that are not listed below to touch!
- Unzip the attached CF-Root-xxx-vX.X.zip
- (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
- Start ODIN
- Click the PDA button, and select CF-Root-xxx-vX.X.tar
- Put your phone in download mode
- (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
- Make sure repartition is NOT checked
- Click the START button
- Wait for the phone to reboot
- Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!)
Thanks. I downloaded the CF-Auto root. And it works. My next question is: Can i "install" Cyagonenmod or something? For a newer Android Version. Or should i dont do it?

You will have to install a kernel with a custom recovery (such as philz kernel). Then you will be able to install custom roms.

Okay. But which should i install and is there a tutorial? I'm a beginner in this so i Need help ^^
EDIT: With custom recovery you mean CWM? If it is so then it's installed with that CF-Auto root data.

Yes, cwm is a custom recovery. The included cwm on cf auto-root is quite old and won't allow you to install kitkat and some jelly bean roms. You can always try

The easiest way to get kitkat rom and get new recovery is to use cyanogenmod installer. Then it would be much easier to install other roms of your choice.
OK does it work with dat cf auto root? And is there a link and tutorial?

Lol. To get cyanogenmod installer, go to get.cm on your phone's browser then follow on screen instructions, that's it. The installer actually doesn't need any root as it will install root anyway (in this case, you will keep root). Be sure to backup! Happy flashing

Must be a problem with the firewall. I can teach you the manual way then, but it is definitely harder. Don't worry, I will guide you through;
I guess you are on gingerbread so follow my guide carefully:
Recovery navigation:
Up and down - Volume button
Select - Power key
1. Download the latest snapshot of cyanogenmod 11 onto your phone's storage here: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/90770/cm-11-20141115-SNAPSHOT-M12-i9100.zip
2. (Optional) Download the compatible gapps file onto your phone's storage here: http://itvends.com/gapps/gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip
3. Download the latest philz recovery onto your phone's storage here: https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/i9100/philz_touch_6.48.4-i9100.zip
4. Reboot your phone into recovery (turn off phone, then press power button, up and home button all together until you see the samsung logo)
5. You should now see the recovery, select flash a zip
6. Select Internal sd card or ext sd card (if these are not on the menu, sd card 0 = internal sd card, etc)
7. Select philz recovery zip
8. Confirm to flash
9. Return to main menu
10. Go to advanced
11. Select reboot to recovery. Your phone should reboot back into the new recovery
12. Once back into the new recovery, select factory reset. Your phone will now delete all of your apps!
13. Then select wipe cache partition.
14. Then go to advanced, then select wipe dalvik cache.
15. Go back to the main menu
16. Select Flash a zip
17. Select the storage location that you used for your downloads
18. Locate and select the cyanogenmod .zip file and confirm to flash
19 (Optional)Select gapps .zip file and confirm to flash
20. Return to main menu
21. Select reboot device
The first boot may take long so be patient. If it doesn't bootloop, you have successfully flashed a rom onto your device!
Ok just a question does it work with may CF-Auto root? It has the CWM 4.0.0.2 . So i'm just carefull cause i dont want to brick my phone ^^
BIG EDIT Okay i just flashed it. And it works . Thanks for the help really .
