I read in various forums not to send in an absolute manner the assistance asus tablet in, then tried to solve alone, my nephew has entered the case of the pin numbers on the entry of Android,
I tried to press power button to shut down the tablet more volume, but do not wipe out the writing on the menu to choose from,
only comes out the little man android with no written wipe data.
The tablet is in January 2014 although I believe that this kind of problem can not be addressed under warranty, not a defect, but a harm done.
There is no way to re-install any rom compatible, from computer? because the tablet can not do anything at all,
start, get notifications of gmail and whatsapp, pero me this pin from inseire that obviously do not know.
Thanks in advance x some suggestions.
greetings
Paul

My friend has been deceased in a car accident this Sunday.
Is it possible to unlock his sony xperia u phone without knowing the unlock pattern to contact his friends, relatives, and everyone that matters?
Or flashing a custom recovery to the phone somehow and cloning all the data on the storage to an sd card or hdd?
Every option, recommendation, possibility matters, even taking the phone into a sony service or sth. like that.
Let me know if you can help.
Thanks!

Well, just try some random patterns. Sometimes, it's just a real simple one. If that doesn't work, and you enter the wrong pattern for a certain amount of times, you can get in using the Google account (if you have those credentials) or by answering the security question. I can't think of anything other than that, but perhaps some smart folks around here have a good idea.
I think its impossible due to android security programming unless you just keep tring or answer the security questions or crack his google account password.
If USB debugging is turned on its possible.Just delete gesture.key from /data/system using adb shell..
Hi guy's, finally registered as I got a question that I can't find the answer to anywhere and I'm hoping the braniacs here might have the answer . I'll quickly say first off a quick thanks to everyone here who has helped out out so much with the quality info provided. I'm very grateful.
I've got a very basic problem which I would never have thought would be so hard to figure out. Got given a Bauhn AT-HK8 and I can't for the life of me figure out how to hard reset the damn thing. The only physical buttons on it is the power button and an esc button and a little pin hole style reset button.
I can't reset from within the system OS because it's got a pin lock which the guy can't remember and it doesn't ask for google credentials after a few failed attempts at the code like other devices normally would, otherwise I would get them off the previous owner then enter settings and reset from there.
Anyhow, anyone know how to hard reset this thing?
The only links that I can find about this specific tablet are some review links... (tried linking one but not allowed, quick search for AT-HK8 and you'll see.
Thanks to anyone that can help
Hello everyone,
This is my first post here so be gentle. Ive attempted to root two devices before, the Note 8 and the Asus Transformer. Finally I received my Note 3 as my first smartphone through my own funds and I, after long thought, decided to root and screw the warranty. Ive had alot of trouble along the way, including no messaging for lack of a SMSC number and many other things. I have re-flashed Cyanogen Mod 11 multiple times but I still have two errors. I have a phantom voicemail notification saying I have four new voicemails. I have signed up for google voice and that did not fix it. My second issue is that my home button does not wake my device. I have tried the settings change on line 172 in the generic file but that did nothing and I do have it enabled in settings.
I appreciate any guidance I can receive.
P.S.
This forum has gotten me out of about 4 boot loops now, hallelujah! To put into context the "own funds" statement, im a sophomore in highschool.
Thanks again. Sorry for the long post.
Dear all,
I know this forum has "developer" in the title and all and am relatively tech-savvy, but long story short I am neither technically inclined nor remotely interested in overtly technical affairs related to my mobile phone.
A couple months ago I switched from iPhone, been happily using Kit Kat. The occasional update is pushed and I just install it because otherwise it keeps sitting in my notifications. Overall I was very happy. Yesterday an update came along, and it turned my phone upside down. This thing is called Lollipop, I have discovered. I cannot undo this and I do not want to wipe my phone, so I've tried playing nice with this thing but as it stands I cannot tolerate some of the new features.
1. Close All in app switcher is gone.
2. Menu bar and lots of other bars are in bright blue or other bright shades.
3. No widgets on lock screen.
4. Currently playing media image always shown on lock screen.
These annoy me to no end. So I would like to root my phone to fix these. Just. Want. Simple. Root.
Half an hour of searching and there is no simple guide to do this. Some say you need to wipe your phone, others say you need to put it in an ADB or something and you need a baseband or a kernel or TWRP. On an iPhone you just turn on Airplane Mode, hit a button and it's done. On Android it all looks like like an in-depth exercise in thermonuclear astrophysics.
Please, somebody, is there a simple way to root an Xperia Z2? I'm not interested in using my phone to take over the world or something. I don't wish to spend more than 10 minutes to get this over and done with. I have PCs and Macs, whichever guide is the easiest just throw it my way. Thank you.
Flash 4.4.2
Root
Install recovery
Flash rooted 5.0 in recovery
Simple (and returned in search results). That your only option to possibly keep data.
Thank you for your reply Matt.
Please don't take this the wrong way, I appreciate your help but I truly am new to all this, so please pardon me if these questions sound elementary.
I have googled for terms such as "simple root", "z2 root", however most "few-click" root programs don't support Lollipop at the moment, which is a 5.0 something, I don't know.
When you say "flash 4.4.2", what exactly do you mean? Are we reinstalling Kit Kat? If so, doesn't that mean losing all data on the phone?
OK, first, download and install Flashtool from HERE , install the software and then go to drivers folder, or just copy and past this link in your Computer address bar C:\Flashtool\drivers\Flashtool-drivers.exe
check these boxes |Flashmode drivers|Fastboot drivers| Xperia Z2 device drivers and press next to install them, better restart your computer afterwards. After doing these steps reply to me and I'm gonna tell you what next
Hello Everyone,
This is a 100% genuine question, I am not a crook, blagger or thief.
A friend of a friend passed away recently, she was young (30's) and left three young children behind and a heartbroken husband.
Anyway, she had a sony xperia X with photos of her kids, her life and all her personal accounts linked to it - and it is behind a password so her family have been unable to gain access to her phone. They have asked me to help as ive done a few things for my friend in the past with a high level of success (data recovery, etc)
I have a ton of info about her, kids DOB's, husbands DOB, all their names, her email account (but no password for that either) and a ton of hints and suggestions of what the PW could be from her dad but so far ive been unable to get in.
I have tried DrFone android toolkit but the phone isn't supported.
I have searched and searched and the things I have found either involve a hard reset/wipe which we dont want or involve using some dodgy solution that I really dont trust (i only just persuaded myself to get DrFone as that didnt exactly look fully legit)
So i'm reaching out to this community as I know if anyone will have any suggestions it would more than likely you guys.
Im a LONG time lurker of these forums (although i'm ashamed to admit ive only just singed up now to post this) im reasonably clued up on these things and have messed about with phones since I was a kid, but this has left me scratching my head.
Few points to note;
The phone is locked with a password, I dont beleive USB debugging will be enabled (cant check) and I *think* i know the gmail account linked to it but cant get access to it. The phone is no longer on a network so cant access the web or have security pins sent to it via SMS although I dont think I would be able to see them as its been rebooted and needs password to view contents of any messages that come in.
Thanks in advance guys and girls
if its locked bootloader then there is no way you can retrieve data
not from the internal storage
its encrypted! any attempt to login and rooting will require long process and sony will wipe everything
try remembering her gmail and password. usually backup goes to gmailaccount , perhaps thats you clue
Thanks for your reply mate, I am trying to get access to her email, I shall keep you posted
Why not unlock her bootloader, flash TWRP and gain access to the pictures that way?
Edit: OEM unlock needs to be enabled in developer options - unlikely
