Flash the correct one. Either get the flashable zip and flash through recovery or get the boot.img and place in your working Fastboot directory. Then boot phone into Fastboot mode and do a "Fastboot flash boot (name of img) "

Do you have the original Rom zip that you installed? The boot.img should be inside that

Hi. I'm new in compling cyanogenmod and
I successfully compile cwm for my device
1. I mean, If I test the custom boot.img and it won't boot or stuck in bootloop. (The boot part is broken).
Can I still boot into recovery after that?
I fear to test my compiled boot.
2. Can I test boot.img by 'fastboot boot boot.img' command? Will it work?
Last, My device is only sold in my country and no one made any custom rom or kernel for the device.
My device is ZTE-V817 that using CPU Qualcomm msm8225q.
The CPU is same as Blade V. I trying to use Blade V kernel for my rom.
Sorry for my bad english skill.

right
The boot.img (i think you are talking about a kernel image) is independent from recovery.img (your image). If you flash a bad kernel for your device it will stuck on bootloop but you can access download mode/emergency/recovery etc. There is no problem is you mess up your kernel the flashing command from fastboot is usually : fastboot flash boot boot.img (you must have the boot.img in the same folder as fastboot). Good luck my friend.

Hi,
I have the problem with kernel, I'am using ViMiRo rom with dediacated kernel by mikhei777, but each time after phone reboot the old one kernel (nexus prime) is restored. So, each time after reboot I need to instal new kernel. I am doing that via fastboot.
What can be the reason, what to do?
Maybe wrong fastboot command ??
use - fastboot flash boot boot.img
don't use - fastboot boot boot.img

That's probably b'coz it still isn't flashed.
Install MiPc suit and connect once with USB debugging on so that all the drivers do get installed correctly then
When using adb first type adb devices and look for your device to be sure that the device is connected correctly.
Which Twrp are you trying to flash?

note while dragging the file into cmd it copies path of the file with its name which will give you an error ...do not drag the file instead write it.

1. Flash twrp as usual -> fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
2. Then boot it: fastboot boot twrp.img
And everything should be fine. Just remember to choose the right one Cheers!

It's completely depended on the ROM. Some of 'em relock bootloader, other don't (same for OTA updates).
