I rooted my .314 with Easy Root Tool. Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900.
Sometimes it works on a second run. And backup TA too with the tool if you haven't already, that is very important.

My Adb is set because when i prompt it from a version it responds. The computer can "see" my Z2 because when the USB is plugged in it shows a pop up window for options. The problem is when I prompt it >adb devices it does not see the z2. When i launch the root kit it shows "waiting for device" what can I do now?

when you plug device in does it show a screen on phonethat you have to select ok press ok if not unplug phone and plug it back in

@Swarai Sorry m8 I didn't know that you were using rootkit Xperia. I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900 like @HugePotato it was the version that worked for me. What I did was extract everything to my desktop and put it all in the same folder then download tr.apk and put it inside the files folder then run install.bat as administrator. A couple of things I noticed were that restarting your phone before connecting ( so you get the trust this computer adb message) and not letting your phone go to sleep helped. If you have any more Q's just let me know. It may take a couple of runs but, it will work. Good luck m8:good:

It does show on the phone screen, but still nothing from the computer

What happens if you try >adb devices just a thought but you do have USB debugging enabled on the phone?

Try This
First Reset Your Phone From Settings>Backup And Restore>Factory Reset Then Download This Link ( http://doomlord.xperia-files.com/download.php?dlid=YWRiX2Zhc3Rib290) And Extract The zip In A Folder Then Put The Root Install.bat Inside The folder You Extract The Link In Then Plug The Phone With Debugging On And Start The Install.Bat (SomeTime Adb And Fast Boot Dont Work Properley Mine Did The Same And I Did This And It Worked For Me So Good Luck Buddy)

If your not getting a response to >adb devices, the pc isn't seeing it in adb mode. First things is I'd remove all the Sony drivers from Windows and try reinstalling them, ensure that you've got the upto date adb in the android-tools folder and let us know how you get on.

USB debugging is definitely enabled on phone?

Debugging is always on. Is there an adb more up to date than what has been posted?

I'm going to wait until everything else fails before I do this. Why? Because if I do this and it still doesn't work, I'm going to be very upset that I went through all this for nothing.

Personally don't think that'll help, the problem you are experiencing is your pc not recognising your device in adb mode, try using a different USB cable and a different USB socket on your pc.
You can check that adb is up to date in the android SDK console.

Do It

First Try It Without Reseting Your Phone If Its Not Working Try It With Reset :T

I would try easy root tool also m8. If one doesn't work try something else. I tried 2 methods until it worked. So keep trying m8. It is a learning process in itself:thumbup:

ADB device show empty

Hi, I have already had my USB debugging enabled and from my device manager I can see my device there showing "ASUS Android Devices" > "Asus Android Composite ADB Interface".
But when I reboot my tablet as USB mode and from my laptop I run cmd as Administrator, and run "adb devices" command, it just show me "List of devices attached" and then the command prompt.
I have already unlock and rooted my tablet.
Why I can't see my device id ? Please help
Try: Connect/disconnect device from USB. Kill adb server (adb.exe) from DeviceManager, and then run "adb devices" again. Also make sure that correct USB drivers are installed for your device.

Yeah this process is correct. Even I've experienced this.
What I did is:
Removed the USB cable connection and reconnect.
Kill adb.exe
Restart adb.
Then device was shown to be connected.

Yes, I did that but still the same. Any other suggestions?
If on windows make sure your driver's are installed.
Type in cmd
adb kill-server
adb start-server
If that doesn't work try a different usb slot. You could also try moving adb and it's dependencies to your system32 folder. It's where all your commands are stored for cmd. You won't have to navigate to the android sdk tools.

it's so easy, just turn off your android device, then hold down both "Volume Down" key and "Power" at the same time, wait a few seconds till it start in recovery mode, done.
now type adb devices, and you'll see your device.
no need for that.
close any adb process either from task manager or by typing: "adb kill-server" in adb console
close everything and use this customized adb file I attached, it'll show your device.
it also has instructions and necessary files for rooting your device.

In your case just disable USB debugging and then enable again.
fix the driver
I had this issue.
In my case when I went to device manager I could see the Device and wasn't installed correctly and could not load the drivers even after having installed them on the PC.
SO I clicked update drivers.
Select that will chose the drivers to install and select the Android Devices - ADB driver.
You will get a warning, but just ignore it and load the ADB driver for the phone.
Ensure you are in the sideload option of the recovery
Now
adb devices
it should show up as Sideload
Now sideload
Cheers

Thanks, this worked for me.
Just add ur device id in adb.ini
Same issue was faced by me on my micromax Q334 and xolo era, I search lot for that and finally just adding hardware id the device are detected under adb.The steps are clearly shown in my video below..
It will definitely going to sort this problem..
For that just right click on adb driver ,navigate to detail tab and search for hardware id then add to adb.INI
I have also uploaded video on that YouTube: Fix adb connection issue(Adb driver installed, but device not listed)
device listed as "? recovery"
hey,
am trying to connect honor 6(h60-L04) but am not able to see the proper name for my device is just showing "? recovery" and am trying to update the android version coz of the device is in reboot-loop so help me out here
if there is any other option to recover device give me link.

Put your phone in PTP mode... just found this. When it was on charge or MTP nothing would connect, but when it was in PTP adb.exe said "error: device offline", but on phone it asked if I wanted to trust the computer!!! Ohhhkay, now we're getting somewhere. Clicked trust and ran adb devices and there it is
See below... I found there are two versions of adb.exe I was using. PTP is not the problem, but adb.exe has to be the right one or it just says offline.

ALSO!! Get the newest driver pack from LG "LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.1.1". The driver packs in the roots that I downloaded aren't new enough. After Windows got the right drivers I was able to see the COM ports properly.
I'm not sure if I have the root working currently. The "Newest root method V03" where you click on root.bat seems to pick the wrong COM port. When I try to do it manually with Send_command.exe using the other COM port it seems like the root process doesn't work properly. It eventually completes, but no info about what it did etc.
I'm using an LG Transpyre VS810PP with Android 5.1.1 currently, and a Windows 10 64-bit machine.

[Q] ADB doesn't detect device while in bootloader

I had my phone unlocked and working with a custom ROM in the past, but after some problems I gave up and just relocked it and went back to stock. Now I'm trying to unlock it again and I'm running into some problems. I'm unable to get the identifier token to use with htcdev because whenever I go into the bootloader my phone is not recognized by adb. fastboot oem get_identifier_token leaves me with a waiting for device message, and adb devices returns an empty list. If I turn the phone on normally the device shows up then. To the best of my knowledge, I have all the necessary drivers. I have tried multiple USB slots, multiple computers (including the one I originally did the unlock on, when it worked fine), and have searched all around the internet and various forums for an answer. I've tried manually updating the USB drivers through device manager, but that did nothing. I have HTC sync installed as well. When I plug the USB cable in I sometimes get a device cannot be identified/has malfunctioned message. Device manager also shows a yellow warning triangle on my phone when in the bootloader. I'm on windows 8 currently, but I've tried it on a windows 7 pc as well with the same results.
tldr: adb doesn't recognize my phone while in bootloader, so I can't unlock it.
Thanks in advance for any help, I've tried everything I can think of.
It sounds like the waiting for device message with fastboot it because you're in bootloader (hboot) instead of fastboot maybe. You want to uninstall the HTC sync program, it's used because it installs the drivers then you get rid of the program itself or at least make sure it's not running at startup and when you connect the device. On Windows 8 did you disable the driver signature verification yet?

Same result in fastboot, I'll try uninstalling HTC sync and disabling driver signature verification now and see how it goes
edit: same result, adb devices comes up empty when in fastboot after disabling driver signature verification and uninstalling HTC sync
It should be "fastboot devices" as the command.

that returns nothing it just starts a new command line.
and two of the ports are usb 3.0 one is 2.0, I've tried all three
Use the snip tool in windows to grab a screenshot of the command window stretched out to show the history, that may point me in the right direction. Do a search for Windows 8 ADB and Fastboot driver installation (i prefer Google and prefix the search with "site: www.xda-developers.com" no quotes) and you should find a thread with the steps for installing the drivers properly after signature verification is disabled in Windows 8. I used it to remotely fix a user's computer with the same issue you're having but I'm mobile at the moment. I'll help you get it straightened out though that's kind of my specialty. I'm about to go get something to eat, I'm working on a migraine and when I get back I'll check back in. Feel free to PM me if you want while waiting on input from others also.

Thank you for the help, I hope this is all you need from the command window. I'm trying the adb and fastboot driver installation thread that you suggested now, hopefully this will have it resolved by the time you get back.
edit: unfortunately that didn't work, it said that the driver is already up to date. The phone shows up as "My HTC" under android USB devices already, even when in the bootloader/fastboot, but it shows the device status as "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the USB BOS descriptor failed."
Adb devices worked, that's your serial number so it's definitely fixable. What does it tell you when you boot to hboot, select fastboot, and use the command "fastboot reboot"
Could you send me a screen shot of the folder contents for the mini-adb folder, just like you did the command window except inside the mini adb folder.

I just have some extra things in the folder like some ROMs/recoveries but I don't think that would matter. I have adb.exe, fastboot.exe, and the two .dll's so I think I have everything I need.
And I tried fastboot reboot while in fastboot, I got waiting for device in command prompt. Also when I entered the command I got a "USB device not recognized" popup from the taskbar. Device manager shows the phone as My HTC with a yellow caution triangle on the icon and the device status "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the USB BOS descriptor failed."
That's usually the result of using a USB 3.0 port, do you have a different set of ports you can try? Like back of the computer instead of front, side of notebook to back of notebook etc. Most motherboards have a USB 2.0 hub and USB 3.0 hub but the manufacturers don't make it obvious which is which in most cases. Also make sure antivirus and such is turned off while you're testing. Its one of those things that's just a tad bit off such as the ports or a driver.
Let me know how the above turns out and tomorrow if you want I can hop on teamviewer and we can try uninstalling what's there, starting fresh with the Google sdk and go from there.
PS- Sorry I haven't had a more direct answer I know it can be frustrating with so much trial and error and it being almost working. But I promise I'll stick with it until we get something figured out, or you get mad and remotely smack me over the head with a keyboard.

Is there an error information, e.g: Windows code 10.
If yes, I googled it, it shows:
The error message probably occurs when you are trying to use a particular piece of hardware, such as a USB connected device or internal DVD drive. Take note of the device you are using when the error occurs in order to update the correct drivers.

Regardless of how old this thread is I'm running into the same problems now!
My Xperia XZ1 Compact doesn't seem to be recognized when in the bootloader (indicated by a black screen and blue led).
I tried "adb reboot hboot" and it booted into a new black screen, but didn't last long before rebooting.
I tried other button combinations during the sequence and those didn't change anything.

[Q] How can I return my HTC Evo to Stock?

So I have run into a problem with my HTC Evo 4G LTE. I rooted a while back but I decided that I didn't really like the roms that would actually work, and so I tried doing an RUU to get back to stock. What ended up happening was that my phone is now S-ON but it says Unlocked and Tampered. but the custom recovery is still there so I can actually do updates to my phone. I have tried to re-root so I can try the RUU again but for some reason I can't get my phone to be recognized by fastboot or the adb. I don't know if its because I have incorrect drivers or what the issue is. Whenever I try to open ADB it just runs through a block of text and closes instantly, same for fastboot. I don't know anymore which instructions or methods to follow since I don't know what exactly the problem is. I've tried looking on here for issues like mine but I can't seem to figure it out. I just want to get my phone as close to stock as possible but I am seriously stuck right now and I need serious help. I would really appreciate it.

I've done that but I don't know what exactly it is I'm supposed to do once I do that. Like how do I get back to fully stock? Or should I be trying to re-root to RUU again? Moonshine doesn't recognize my device in fastboot usb, it says something like usb device not recognized because of a malfunction. I'm sorry for being clueless but I'm at a loss at what to do.

Uninstall everything HTC from your PC then reboot
Unplug your phone then install the latest drivers from HERE the ones dated 6/6/13
Plug phone in and let the drivers install
They might install while in bootloader and custom recovery also
then give moonshine another try
Should I only install the drivers or install HTC Sync as well?

So I uninstalled all the drivers and everything HTC and restarted. I then tried to install that driver from your link. It said the driver wasn't supported by my operating system which is Windows 8 64 bit and then finished installing. When I plugged in my phone it didn't seem like anything installed. The EVO is recognized by computer as a media device I guess. I switched the usb mode to mount as disk drive and it seemed to install a driver. Then I ran moonshine again but when it went into the bootloader, again it said the USB device was not recognized.

Hmmm not really sure then I have been away from the Evo for a while
Try this
On your PC go to device manager and find your phone, right click and select properties
Select the driver tab
Select update driver
Select browse my comp
Let me pick
Look for ADB USB device or similar should be one of the first couple choices
Select MyHTC install and you should be good

Hmmm sorry I'm kinda out of ideas
Anyone else with any idea what is going on here with my phone?
Uninstall everything HTC (again). Download and install HTC Sync Manager. Once install is complete, uninstall only HTC Sync Manager. The latest HTC Drivers will remain installed. Put your device into fastboot mode, and connect to the PC. Drivers should install, and the bootloader should go from saying FASTBOOT to FASTBOOT USB.

I just tried this, plugged it in and it still says the message of USB device not recognized. I'm really not understanding what happened as to why the fastboot is just not recognizing the drivers. I also noticed the word fastboot in red changes to fastboot usb when I move the selection down from bootloader to any of the other options. Is it supposed to do that?

I think your issue may be with your computer. Do you have another computer you could try this on? I personally have never used windows 8, but it is always something that could be an issue.

Yes, when you're connected to your computer via fastboot it will say "Fastboot USB". Don't worry about the message on your computer-I get them all the time and I can still run commands via ADB & fastboot without any problems.

But in Moonshine when it loads fastboot it doesn't work, it just times out. It finds the device and restarts it, but after it gets into the bootloader it fails. That is what I'm trying to figure out.
When you connect in fastboot USB mode, what happens when you run the command "fastboot devices" (without quotations)?
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE
Well being that I can't open fastboot like normal because it just flashes and closes, I open a command window inside my platform-tools folder. Then I do the command fastboot shell and it says <waiting for device> and nothing happens. If i open the window and type adb devices it shows my phone's serial number, but fastboot devices or fastboot shell, nothing happens

Could any one help me with this regard?

Why don't you flash stock ICS firmware in flashmode(via flashtool)??
Have you tried flashing stock rom with flashtool?
You can also try (re)mounting sdcard in cwm recovery or with adb.
In cwm it's located in mounts and storage --> mount sdcard.
When you connect your phone to pc, do you see that "usb debugging enabled" notification?
If not you have to enable it from developer options. And when you try to do something with adb, does it give any error message, such as "device offline", "device not found" or "waiting for device"?

your problem is that ur drivers are crashed because of some weird reason..
Download usb deview at http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html#DownloadLinks
unplug your phone..
now unzip the app and run it..
in the vendor id tab search for drivers having id as - "0fce"
Select ALL of them and uninstall them by right click --> uninstall selected.
remove sony pc companion.
restart your pc..
download latest adb and fastboot drivers here : http://rubenalamina.mx/download/525/
simply run the installer..
default install directory is C:\ADB
now turn off usb debugging and then connect your phone.
let it install mtp drivers.
now download flashtool https://unrestrict.li/flashtool
install the flashtool.
(optional but still recommended) disable antivirus and firewall of pc
go to install directory of flashtool and locate folder "drivers"
open it and run the installer.. you will see a window asking which driver to install check the following items:
-xperia p, u, sola, go, drivers,
-fastboot
-flashtool
when its done unplug turn on usb debugging and go to installed directory of adb, press and hold shift key and then right click anywhere in that folder..
select open command prompt and pass this command:
adb devices
you should see at least one device connected.
if yes you are succeeded and fastboot will work too.

bro i cant find those sony adb in device manager im using windows 7. i have installed everything but in uninstall and remove tab i cant see sony adb
This may sound silly but two things,
have you tried a different usb port
and is the sdcard mounted in cwm.
I have to make sure the sdcard is mounted before i can connect mine.
Do a hard reset hold power and up till the phone vibrates 3 times then try to connect to flashtool by holding power and volume down.

[Q] Can't Reroot

After flashing back to Mk2 and trying to regain root using safe root. The installer will not see the phone no mater what I do. I've redone drivers, tried multiple computers I've enabled and turned on Debugging. All of that. EVERYTHING else see it. But not ADB it sees my Galaxy s3 no problem.
I first rooted the phone without safe root. But I can't find anything anymore I tried to use terminal emulator but the phone blocks it. Anyone have any Ideas? should I reflash MK2 in odin?

"adb devices" is a command using the ADB utility. It lists what devices it sees connected.
For example, no phone:
C:\temp\android>adb devices

It's also possible that USB debugging got somehow disabled - settings/more/developer options/usb debugging. Make sure it's selected.

Yes, that also can get it re-enabled. Unplug, revoke authorization, unlock the phone, then re-plug it and re-authorize.
In those cases, however, the phone will show up in "adb devices" as "offline".
Thanks I did ADB devices and it showed my device but it said offline, I tried the Revoke Authorization but I can't get the phone to ask if the computer is ok?
Problem solved
I tried the Revoke Authorization but I can't get the phone to ask if the computer is ok prompt. I did a full factory reset and cache wipe four times still only shows offline. I rebooted into recovery saw load update from ADB and adb start-server and got host but couldn't load the install.bat
Problem solved follow this guide

That's one I wouldn't normally think of - if that worked for you, then it means that you had an old, out-of-date version of ADB on your system.
Thanks for letting me know about the fix, as it's a pretty hard one to detect and easily fixed one you know about it.

Saferoot comes with adb 1.0.31 - the same files as the one in the post you pointed to. I'm not sure what happened here, but it doesn't matter as you now have it fixed.
