Looked at my watch and noticed the time was about an hour off.. The watch is completely frozen. I've tried placing it on the charging dock, also pressing the reset button for up to 30 seconds. And looking within the android wear app for a restart option all to no avail. Anyone know how to restart it?

Is the display still on? Maybe once the battery dies you can get it to reboot on the charger. Keep us posted!
I also frozen my GWatch 2 days ago and I restarted it after push the reset button for 10s.

Yes the display is still on. I was hoping to not have to wait for it to die.. Ugh but thanks!
Solved (well kinda): letting the device drain the battery over night and when I woke up the screen was black.. Placed it on the charger and all seems good now. I just wish there was a way to restart it without having to let it die.. Luckily I was home all day yesterday.. But if it would have froze while I was at work I would have been without it all day. That's kinda scary because I need a watch at work in my profession.

Look on the back. There is a hole where u can stick a paperclip or something same in to reset
my watch seems died. Left it on the charging cradle all night long, this morning i found it off with no way to turn it on. Placing on the cradle again shows the full battery icon, but the screen is totally black. Tried to use the little button on the back of the watch for about 10 sec with no results... any suggest but rma?

Can you take it in a dark room? Is the backlight on?.. If not then yeah I would try returning it where you purchased it.
backlight seems off. i'll try again with the cradle once i'll be back home, but i do think that rma is the only way
update: seems like the charger i use no longer charge my gwatch. I connected the watch to my pc with another usb cable, and after some seconds it boots up
battery was completely drained (0%) so that's the cause of the problem. now, i tried to charge my phone with the same charger i use for the watch and it seems ok, so i'll probably have to discover why it didn't charge my watch until battery gone 0%...

Last night I was on my phone, enjoying my newly flashed MUII rom when suddenly my phone shut off. I was expecting this to happen since my battery was very low, but now my phone wont charge or turn back on. When I plug in the charger, it seems as if the power cycles from displaying the charging battery logo for one second, and then shutting of for 3 seconds, then repeat endlessly. I have had it plugged in for quite a while now, with no change. This is the battery that came with my phone.
Does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?
Any help is much appreciated.
I had this problem before too and didnt come back alive no matter what i did... as a last resort i popped the back cover off, took the battery off and let it chill for like 30 sec popped it back in and walla~ it worked, hopefully it works for you as well
I will give this a try. Thanks

Well it is no longer in it's endless loop. It seems like it might be charging now. thank you
I've had that happen with miui on my HTC g2. Not sure why it kept happening but taking the battery out and pressing the power button will discharge the remaining stored power on the device like a PC, (you may even see the screen flash slightly) and
you should be able to boot again immediately.
Note you can't have it plugged in when doing this

Oh sorry. APX i mean. my question above is now edited. Any idea sir? or i should brought it to samsung service center?
Maybe the only thing to try at the moment would be the old battery drain technique... Usual means is to tape down the power button and wait days and days until it is dead, really dead ( shows nothing when connected to computer), then connect to wall charger and reboot and see what you get. This is really the ultimate "hard reset" but same result can be obtained far more quickly by removing the back and disconnecting the battery for a while to remove residual charge... Not as frightening or difficult as it might seem, have done it loads of times for various faults and to replace batteries in several tabs.

thank you sir. Im doing it now. But Im a doing it correctly? i just connected it to the computer for apx mode then after that i tape the power button so that it continuously on and off for apx mode then i disconnected it to the computer or I should leave it stay? i think it will charge if i connected it to the computer.
If you're trying to discharge by taping down power button just leave the tab on it's own not plugged into anything... Plugging into something that charges rather defeats the object of the exercise

Thank you for the help. I think I need to bring it to service center. There's no battery charging icon when I charged it. I dont know if its well drain but I use a laptop cooling fan via OTG to drain it. the fan and the lights from the cooling pad is not functioning anymore so i try to plug the tab to the wall charger and nothing happens.
By the way thank you. :good:

In some cases it takes more than a day, be patient... Unless you are prepared to remove the back and unplug battery... The aim of the game is to completely power down the tab and remove residual charge in components, the "hardest" reset available.... So, two ways to achieve that is drain battery or disconnect battery... If you drain battery you must be sure it's empty to achieve desired effect then you obviously cannot restart it without charging a bit as the battery is empty, so you connect charger then try to boot, but the tricky bit is being sure the battery is completely drained otherwise you are just wasting your time... That is why battery disconnect is preferable

Many Thanks to You stinky73
I had to purchase an iFixIt repair kit to get the correct driver to remove the two screws. I disconnected the battery, waited ten minutes and when I reconnected I was SO HAPPY to see the battery charging icon. I charged for a while a fired up the tablet. Everything was the same as if nothing happened. I am so happy because Samsung said they could fix the problem and it would be a flat rate of $150 which I don't have and I would lose everything.
Many thanks

It took me longer to remove the screws then anything. I stripped them and will need to replace them. I tried a regular screwdriver before the tri-wing screw driver and paid dearly in time. Once the two screws were removed, use a plastic pry tool starting on the bottom where the screws are because once the bottom and sides are pried lose, the top will slide over the extended audio jack.
1.5 hours to remove stripped screws
10 minutes to pry open
1 minute to disconnect battery (did not remove battery or three data cables on top of battery)
10 minutes wait for discharge
3 minutes to re-connect battery cable (it slides forward and snap down)
2 minutes to replace case

Forgive the gravedigging, but I am unable to find anything regarding my situation, and the original poster has a problem that is similar to mine (my thread is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52931715 ). I hope someone is able to give me a hand here!
I am wondering, it has been over 15 minutes since I disconnected the battery completely, but connecting the P7500 to my laptop still shows an APX device being connected. Could there be some hardware issue preventing the device from being fully discharged?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I've got the same issue as Lightside and the original poster. Mine is a GT-P7500, which had CM10 nightly ROM with CWM recovery. I sold it on eBay, but before selling, I wiped the tablet and got it back to the Clockworkmod main screen. I turned it off completely and shipped it to the buyer, ready for it to be registered by the new user.
The buyer received the tablet and from the e-mails I received from him in the first couple of days, all was going well. Then, a couple of days later, he sent me an e-mail saying that the screen shows the android lying on its back with "Odin download" mode showing. A day later, he sends me a messaging saying that he can't turn the tablet on at all. The guy who bought it is an old man and didn't know much about fixing the issue. I asked him whether he powered the tablet off while still plugged in to the wall charger and he confirmed that he did. I asked him to return it to me and I can try and fix it, so now, I have the tablet back and it won't turn on. Here's what is happening:
1. I drained the battery using the cellotape method
2. Installed the NVflash drivers
3. Waited for the battery to drain (almost 9 days and the LED flash stopped blinking, so assumed it was completely drained)
4. Plugged it in to the PC and it immediately showed up again as a device under the USB controllers within Device Manager
5. I then unplugged the battery by opening the back of the tab, left it for 15 mins, then tried the wall charger again, but nothing. No charging icon on the screen.
When I try to press the power button, I can see the LED light up, but the screen is still blank.
Could this be a hardware issue and if so, what do you think could have caused it?
Could really do with some help here, folks! I don't want to have to give the buyer a refund because technically, he got it when it was in working condition and he probably did something to screw it up, but since he's an old man, I thought I'd try and help him, if I can.

You tried holding the power button down for more than 2 seconds?
I don't think that will help. The watch arrives set in quickboot mode and it can crash in that mode and not restart right. Might be the problem here, or his display backlight might have failed. Or his power button might have failed.
Anyway, try a battery pull. A full restart after a real shutdown via battery pull will probably recover the watch to where you can go in and disable quickboot.
Instructions are in other threads.

One thing that people need to be aware of--after doing a Cache and Dalvik wipe in TWRP Recovery--the phone can 'seem' like it's stuck in Boot mode--BUT, it's just taking it's time to re-align all the apps, software etc... and I mean at least 10 minutes of looking at a stationary Boot screen--it worried me first time.
Well, mines gone too. It was fully charged. I was listening to music, turned off the app, put watch on standby and when I went to check the time the thing won't turn back on. Tried connecting it to the charger but no response. I'm going to open it up and see if that works. I know I'll loose my warranty for this (doubt I have one as I got mine through Expansys.jp), If it doesn't work then I can confirm that swett, and not much of it will break your truesmart.
My phone was working perfectly normally last night, and when I went to bed I put it to charge like normal and went to sleep. Today morning I found my phone to be completely dead and the charging light wasn't on as well. At first I thought it was the outlet or wire so i replaced both of those to no avail. The charging light isnt coming up, and the phone isnt reacting to any button presses either. I had the lollipop ROM installed.
Is there anything I can do?
Hold power + volume up until it vibrates, then turn it on. I believe it is caused by a random restart that can't get through because of the alarm that is set. I cannot confirm it though, because logcat always crashes before it happens and I am not capable of getting around it. It is also the reason why I will change my phone soon. That is something I found while googling.
You should try removing the battery and putting it back, but do it only if nothing else helps. (You will have to open your back cover so you will loose warranty and your phone will no longer be waterproof.)

I would never go so far as doing this.
TC, I recommend opening up the Sim card flap, find a pin and and press hold of the yellow button that you see in it. It is basically the best solution to hard reset the phone.

For now, it still dead. Can't turn it on but the screen pretty warm.
I think I had that happened after my five days of use. It didn't turn on even on the charger for few hours. What I did was holding the power button for three or four seconds, and let the watch turn on the boot screen, and then right away put it to the charger. Then you should see the battery charging status image on the watch.

Oh, really. be care ful bro, i so concern your watch will dead as my watch.
My battery is completely 0%. My watch is not turned on even on the charger. I pressed the watch down to the charger and made sure it was touching the pins, and then I pressed the power button the watch (while it is on the charger) for 2 or 3 second; the watch is turned on with battery charging status image. Hope that helps. BTW I use a StartTech USB switch for charging my phone and watches. The switch is not plugging to a PC or laptop; it is only for charging my devices.
After I "fried" some bluetooth headsets with wallchargers ( probably powersurge or similar )
I never ever use them for "small" devices like headphones or the watch.
I always charge with a powerbank.
Since then I didn't have any problems
Try to twist the charging ring
After I twist the charging ring couterclockwise/clockwise, the power was increase. So you should try twist the ring until it got the right position and precise contact. Hope this solution helps yours.
I had this exact same problem with my watch after about 8 days, i had charged it multiple times before but one morning i noticed my watch completely off and thought the battery must of drained completely. I went to plug it in and nothing happened it wont charge (even leaving it on the charger for 24+ hours) . Ive tried everything and it just wont turn on or charge.
OP im afriad yours sounds like same issue, i raised a dispute on Aliexpress and got a complete refund. I have just recieved another one so im hoping i dont have the same issue again.
I still have the old broken one so was tempted to pull it apart and see if i can see anything but tbh i wouldnt know where to start so have not bothered.
