[Q] CM11 Cant play music via Beats solo HD - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hey,
I just flashed CM11 on my xsola and now when I connect my Beats solo HD, there's not coming up a message saying 'Microphone and Buttons are not supported.'. At first I was happy about it, but now I know it better - when I try to play music it comes out oft my phone speakers instead of my headphones. Can somebody help me? It's the latest build. Sorry for my bad english!

That means that my Headphones are not supported?
Sony or Apple in-ear are working. Should I buy a cable without buttons and without a microphone?

Oh, sorry, my fault. I thought it's a bluetooth headset... So if it's a cable headphone then there is possibility that the jack has different layout than the sony headsets.
Or the other possibility is that because of something the jack plug is can't be connected (this could happen because of the root of the jack is too bulky)

Up
Also for me.. :S no one knows how to fix it?

Before, on Stock ICS and Gimly Firmware (based on ICS), it worked. But than there was a massage saying 'Microphone and buttons are not supported.' or something like this. But it worked!
I bought a new cable without buttons and without a microphone, now my headphones are working! How can I fix it, that I can listen to musik via the original Beats cable? My new cable looks ugly

I have this, all functions working except for track ID display.
Does this device have an 3.5mm connector? It looks quite fine, but I will like to use it with other headphones...
Thanks in advance!

@ghosty_uk: Thanks for answering so quickly! But I am not sure I have understood you right: You mean that the HBH ds-980 has a female 3.5mm connector, so I can use any earplugs I want? I ask again, because in the website pics It looks that you cannot use another headphones with it...
Thanks from Spain!

[Q] 3.5" Headphones

Hi.
This is my first Samsung so, have mercy
None of my headphones are working.
I only get sound in one side and the other is too low. Almost inexistent.
I tried with cable to connect it to my audio system and the same.
Next step was to use the hands free from my X10.
Is working ... but not as expected. Almost no bass and no trebles.
The only ones working are the ones from the SGS2 box or using my headphones via MW600 bluetooth (which i don't like it as it drains more batter and the SGS2 is power hungry)
So, is a problem with the 3.5" ?
Or my headphones?
Or ... is a compatibility problem? Can i find somewhere an 3.5" adapter?
Thanks
Its gonna sound dumb but u have plugged the jack all the way in yeah? Takes a little bit more force than u think

Worked with other headsets for me
- Dell streak headset
-Iphone headset
Needed that extra push to fit the pin in really well
Well, i'll try one more time ... anyway, earlier i found something else using the X10 headset.
If i press the "answer" button from headset, everything is fine but as soon as is de-pressed ... it goes back.
I have a similar problem with my expensive Shure earphones. They sound much worst and "tinny" then the standard earphones that come with the S2. Even if these earphones are cheap, at least the sound is acceptable.
If I plug the output of the S2 into my car stereo, I again have terrible sound. I am not sure if this has anything to do with the fact that the stock S2 earphones have 4 contacts on the jackplug as compared to 3 on normal jackplugs. The extra contact, I presume, is to permit the switch for fast forward to work on the headphones.
I can't understand why other people don't have this problem - and yes the jack plug is pushed right in.
Yep, pretty sure, the jack is down entirely and still not working.
I tried with the SE X10 headset and normal stereo headphones
I think i will have to stick with the bluetooth if i can't find an adapter of some sorts.

[Q] Sound over speaker | headphones plugged in

So. Is there any way (software) to make phone "think", that jack is empty, when it isn't? I need headphones plugged in as antenna for fm radio and the sound going through speaker. Now i'm using half lacquered plug so the phone can't see it.
Sorry for my English.

I had this exact problem the other day!!!! No matter what I did it wouldn't work, tried flashing new ROMs, different headphones etc. So I replaced the jack and it worked, took 10mins and only cost £4!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Samsung-G...K_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item3f156a393c That's the part you need for a GT-i9100, no idea if it any different for the G version or American versions of this phone though
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65pvAINg2ME Here's how to do it.
Hope this helps

I think you didn't understand me right (probably it's my fault). I have no problems with my jack. I meant
I need headphones plugged in as antenna for fm radio and I need the sound going through speaker but it's going through headphones as it should
i'm using half lacquered plug so the phone can't see it (as it shoud because the plug is lacquered by me for this)

And what I'm searching is the way (maybe some edit in /sys/devices or something else) to make (by myself) my phone "think", that there is no plugged in headphones when there is. If I understand you right, I need to simulate your problem (reversibly).
Doesn't anybody know?
There's an option in the FM radio settings to output audio through the speaker...

**Headphone jack audio out (jellybean) solution here** (app)

for those of us that use our phones in the car as mp3 players, or connect our phone to an aux input to our cars or other piece of equipment were surprised to see that the new JB update killed that for us.
ive mentioned it in the bugs thread and asked a dev to see if he can remedy it.
until it gets fixed by a dev or google/htc/sprint i found a free app that will fix it for us.
and it does work.
google play search "soundabout"
make sure you check off wired headset detection, and select "wired headphones" in the [media audio...] selection box.
voila, you got sound to your aux adapter or for your car now.
the only issue i see is the builtin music player doesnt let you choose EQ and the beats options is still greyed out.
so you might want to experiment with other 3rd party music players with an eq if you want better audio.
:/ I've used viperboy's rooted stock JB and played audio out to my car just fine...
right now, im on the stock jb ota rom. and wasnt getting audio out until i installed and configured this app.
had audio just fine on ICS
posting this just in case someone else is having issues.
i wonder what viperboy did or configured in his rom to get it to work.
I'm on stock jb ota not rooted and audio works fine for me via headphone jack to aux port. My only problem is, when I'm plugged in my car and then turn my Bluetooth headset on, it switches my music to my ear piece. Not that big of a deal, I just unplug and replug my phone back in and it switches back.

I am on Meanrom JB currently 1.6 and have been playing audio in my car using the headphone jack since it released with no problems.

OP, I think you're having a ROM issue, not a hardware issue. Your phone can't discriminate between an aux plug and a headphone plug. Both must work.
Hey OP thanks for trying to help others...

I'm going to hope you're not directing that indirect criticism at me; I don't have an issue with the OP trying to help anyone, I'm just pointing out that I don't have that issue, I have seen no one complain about that issue, and on a software level, it is impossible for a phone to discriminate between a headphone plug and an auxiliary plug, which means if his headphones work, his aux jack must work.

I have Xperia TX and after JellyBean update, my Sol Republic headphones did not work at all. I installed this app and works like a charm. Thanks a lot.
Found a cure
Guys! I finally found a cure to this this problem.
It is caused by unbalance of the headphones...
Steps:-
1.Download Poweramp
2.Go to Equalizer-->Tone/Volume
3.Adjust the balance to Right--Full throttle(It really-really works!)
Now you can use earphones/headphones with mic.

Headphone jack issues!

Hey Guys,
First of all, I'm not sure I'm posting under the right thread, please do let me know if it isn't!
I recently flashed Carbon 4.4.2 on a Xperia ray, and it is awesome :good: !
My issues are with audio. Connecting my headset (Sol Republic Master Tracks) without ANY audio playing, I hear periodic muffled thuds, almost as if the ray has a pulse
While playing audio, the sounds cease and am able to hear the music, but the quality is quite terrible.
The controls on this headset are made to work with iDevices, the volume controls do not work.I find that pressing and holding the call accept/disconnect button on the headset solves this issue!
The muffled sounds too are no more, with no audio and the button pressed. However, this is quite a nuisance as you can imagine!
I faced the same issue with LXP as well, had changed ROMs hoping to solve this, but in vain!
Thoughts!?
i am sure that the audio socket of your devices is incompatible to the audio jack of your headphones, you can try to use some audio jack with this

Ah, thank you for your input!
I've no idea what to look for, though. Is there a 3.5 mm to 3.5mm jack or something?
I'm still lost.
Anybody, anything?

No, no software problem. 2011 Xperias uses OMTP connector, while iDevices and others uses CTIA connector. CTIA is new standard, OMTP is old. You can buy OMTP > CTIA converter to use your headset. Check accessories thread for something similar
