Hey, I need help. Should I swap my HTC One S rooted with custom ROM for a Lumia 920?
How's WP doing? Is it stable and better than before? Do you think the transfer from android to WP a good idea and is it worth it? Thanks for the help!
WP is stable from always... i am on WP system from first day and never heard or see unstable WP OS on official devices Windows Phone is faster and safer than Android but not open and you are stuck with official Windows phone store...
if you want open system and other things what you have on android, stay on Android.... if you want fast, stable and safe OS then switch to WP...

My wife bought GT-I8910 which has installed Symbian OS, is it possible to reinstall Android OS or Microsoft OS on it? On network I couldn't find such experiences. Is there any chance to change OS or I have to give up?
You can't install Android or WinMo on Symbian phone.
thank you for the reply, so be it.
can anybody feed me back about this subject...can we flash an android firmware on any phone , like we know there is some works about flashing android on nokia n9...i wana know if it is related on the processor and if there is a possibility to flash an android on LG BL40 ??
Well, I am a mod for an Italian forum focused on Nokia n900, that is the ancestor of Nokia n9 and I have been following for a couple of years the disappointing nitdroid project. I mean that, even the bootloader of Nokia n900 was absolutely unlocked (never been locked) in 2 years or even longer the devs were not able to get working phone module, camera and GPS.
N900 nowadays runs even ics, but with such restrictions!
The situation for Nokia n9 is a bit better. but it essentially depends on the availability of open source drivers.
So, I don't know your phone, but running a full working android is not so simple, if it hasn't been shipped by the manufacturer.
Simply put, no. You cant flash any ROM on any Android phone. The ROM has important things like drivers, frameworks, etc that only work with the phone it was built for.
Please advice me Which Androind Version it is more safe and secure and may provide me an increase of speed.
I will like to remove the Wndows professional version from my HTC HD2 Leo Smartpone. But after reading several Androind versions I feel a little bit confusig which one could be the best for me. Certainly the Rafdroing Android version looks the best, but there are some risks around it and I do not see too may comments about users.
The Android Ice Cream or Jelly looks also interesting and looks easy and theres are other Androing version too easy to install.
Why I am looking to change my OS from my HTC HD2 Leo ? Because I think that the Androind version it is the most wit tons of free applicaitons, thems etc and as stable. The second point it is that I would like to increase at least a little bit the speed of my Smartphone
1.2 Ghz or 1.$Ghz could be the best thing that could happen to me. The last point is that the old windows version was so limited with flash and video, so I decided to remove it.
Certainly that I would like first to get a good backup of my present operating system in case of failure to return to my old version.
soI need a suggestion to a good backup to move everything to my SD or to move everything to my Desktop via USB interface.
It will be plus if I can install a dual boot in my HTC to try the new Windows 7 together with Androind, but I m most decided to run the Android version. Please advice me which Android could provide me a better performance, secure, reliable and increase the speed. the Rafdroid (vhichv version) or the Ice Cread Android or any other version. Please provide the link to proceed to Install> Thank you fellows for your time and consideraionts
I'm wondering if its possible to install Windows phone 8 on to my android which is fully rooted, I have played with custom ROM's on it before, I just wasn't sure if I'm able to install Windows phone 8 on to my android, or even where to get the ROM if I could, any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I am starting a new project for the Windows phone and don't have a test subject I can play with.
Thanks
NO.
1. Closed source. We can't port it.
2. Tbh, i kinda want it. But the lack of apps is a let-down.
Hey Guys, I heard it's possible to install Android APKs to my WIndows Phone.
I just updated my NOKIA Lumia 920 from 8.1 to 10.0.10586.545 (Custom ROM) to do that.
I found some tutorials where I have to use "APKTOW10M" or "wconnect" but I always get "Error bootstrapping the device Error code=8".
Is there a way to install Android apps?
Which Windows 10 Mobile Version still supports APK Installation?
not supported and not possible...

I've read it WAS possible https://mspoweruser.com/how-to-install-android-apps-on-windows-10-mobile/
In this Tutorial I saw that the recommended OS Version is Build 10512.
SO if I Install Build 10512, it should work, or not?
Then there's the question... how can I get this version?
simply not worth... is not all apk work and work much terrible than worst WP apps and that old build is full of bugs...
Astoria is dead.
