I just found out that my phone wants to update itself to yet another .108... while I already have the first one.
I'm rooted and dual recovery installed, what should I do? Simply try?
It's a whopping 0.2mb... XD

You don't have to read about it. OTA just won't work with custom recovery.

That is probably why mine shows as "computer required" for update. Tried posting screenshot but it says file too large.

I said i got it too! And i updated as well. I have locked bootloader and stock recovery so it worked for me. You need stock recovery and locked bootloader for it to install and since you have custom recovery, it won't install

Updated with no problems. I had dual recovery cwm installed. Update still worked but recovery is gone now. Root still available.
before it was a computer required update. but this morning, it changed to ready to install.
I updated via OTA, and root and dual recovery both survived... go figure...

Weird... I am in Italy also with .108 stock (rooted, locked bl, and dual recovery) but I got no update notification...
I got this OTA update last night (in India). Root survived, but Xposed had to be reinstalled.
I have not discerned any changes or improvements otherwise.
Also, had to lock the bootloader - was getting a "could not verify" message for the OTA.

Same with me, xposed had to be reinstalled, but no worries there, 5 minutes and I was ready with all my modules as before.

Got update notification today (T-Mobile, Germany), 0.2mb, could not verify message, give it a try later today after locking bootloader.
Could this be a carrier-specific update?
I got it too. Maybe that this update is only for patching those Android specific security bugs and some Update Center issue where no application update appearing in prev 108.

Perhaps because you have moded your cell? I suppose you should try to do the update using PCC. And it should work then.
Or you can revert to the original software. (using the back up of CwM) and then try.

I only rooted the phone...if I update using PCC, my root will be lost???...
Yes, your root will indeed be lost.
What I mean by modding is that you applied some themes (I can see from the screenshot). Perhaps the components to be updated have dependencies on the components you edited while themeing. That's why you can not update.
IMO, wait for the 4.0.4 update and go for it directly using PCC. You will anyways loose root after that.
Thank You,
Rick

I'm not kidding. Why would I?
Some users have reported this(atleast fellow Wt19i users). And i have experienced this too.
Process A: (tried and tested a lot of times)
Root>install CWM>update via OTA>download update>installation fails
Process B:
Root>update via OTA>download update>installation successful>install CWM
Try the exact process A yourself. If it works for you then good.
But process B always worked for me/some and never did process A.

Network unlock is different than bootloader unlock. those are two different things. Google them to get the info you need
As for this update you can flash it on locked bootloader using Flashtools. it's the best out there for flashing FTF files for Xperia Devices.

Honestly it could be any number of problems. I have found that its some what easier to flash the RUU root the RUU then use adb pull and pull everything from the phone then build the ROM from that. Just my 2 cents.

Ill never understand the mentality if people like this. My school is full of kids who ask how to do everything instead of doing their own research.
Most of the time, the information is already available to them from material right in front of their noses. Yet they still want to be spoon fed.

How much experience do you have in java? I'm guessing none. I've been into android for about 4 years (theming), learning java for over a year and I still won't attempt to dev a Rom. In other words, really learn this stuff before you brick your phone or worse, someone else's phone. If you can't debug your own work, you're a lost cause.

You won't be able to flash the OTA in TWRP like that. But if you upload it maybe someone can package up all of the necessary components to be able to update via fastboot or something.

I'm going to install a T-Mobile 4.3 Ruu to see if that will let me, I also see that you have to have S-boot off in order to do it, though I am not too sure if that applies, and the OTA update is being uploaded right now as we speak.
