Anyone got any good shutdown animations? I've seen lots of bootanimations. But only a few shutdown animations. Since we can have sounds in shutdown it would be cool to have cools animations. Just a thought!

Heres one!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=784693
I know its only one but I used it before. The OP in that thread also posted a link to a pretty simple how to guide! Changing my bootanimation/sound and shutdown animation/sound was what started it all for me and got me into messing with my phone
yeah..ive been mixing and matching different shutdown animations with shutdown sounds...got a cool sound with a robotic voice saying "noooo...i'll be back.." just wanted a cool animation to go with it.
Hi guys.
Ok i have CRT sreen off animation, but the same effect with on screen should be perfect.
Do u guys agree?
its available in cyanogen 7. crt both on and off screen animation.

sure but we don`t have that yet...
but even wiht that we have off screen animation. so why not on screen too?
I think it likely needs to be reversed in code which is why you don't have it yet until cyanogen gets ported.
ah glad to hear heres hoping for cyanogen to be ported quickly or for it to be added to villian rom
Does anyone know what the status on this if. I really love the off effect and would like to know how to make it occur when turning on too. I am ready to mod, just need instructions like this thread for the off effect: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109363
I just installed the Litening ROM for my Galaxy S2 I9100...
It has the Gingerbread CRT off animation, but it doesnt have the ON animation!
That kinda feels unfinished; and I saw videos online of how the CRT animation works BOTH ways! Is there any way for me to get the animation for /on as well?!
Please let me know!
Cheers!!!
Hmmm.... I didn't see CRT ON animations yet. CRT off animation was in Nexus S first of all and that doesn't have CRT ON animation even. Actually, that animation is like a fade out transition and won't seems nice to be a fade in animation.

Naw mate; there "IS" a CRT ON animation as well!
Search "Android CRT Animation" on youtube; (Cant post links yet coz I am new here)
Thats the one I want as well... Could anyone tell me a way around this?
CRT on animation was something you could switch on in Cyanogenmod settings iirc.
Not sure if it relies on the CM framework or anything though.
yes CRT on animation is part of cyanogen ROM. just have to wait till that ROM is available for the SGS2.

The Cyanogen mod IS coming for SG2 though isnt it?! I did see the thread on development...
But I'm quite happy with Litening... Lets see if its there in the next version
But there's no OTHER way to?
Development of CM7 for the Galaxy S II is underway. See the thread in the android development section for more details.
not sure if it's possible to enable it via another method... depends if the CRT on animation depends on the CM framework.
The stock android has just a screen off animation. And that's realistic i think. I can't remember that our tv had this effect when we started it. Just a long time black and then the picture appeared emidiatly

This is the Android 6.0 Marshmallow Bootanimation for ALL SAMSUNG devices. This will work on ANY Samsung device that is at least Rooted and uses QMG bootanimation files. Keep in mind that this is not a flashable zip, if unfamiliar with how to manually install these files and set permissions see my instructions gif. Also, keep in mind that this QMG format system that Samsung uses is old school, it has not been updated or supported in over 3 years, so please do not ask me to make this bootanimation more fluid. Instead ask Samsung to update their design tools, so we can have more fun.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow QMG files for any Samsung device. (included are bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg, and my version of the shutdown.qmg.)

I am bringing this thread over here from the Note 3 forums, hopefully it will be enjoyed over here as it was over in the Note 3. All of these bootanimations are made in form of QMG which is specific to Samsung devices only, and nearly 90% of these Bootanimations are in the screen configuration of 1080x1920. When I create a Bootanimation, I like to add a Shutdown animation as well. They tend to go hand in hand. This Kollection as I’ve come to call it consists of over 180 bootanimations, which must be the largest QMG collection on XDA. Anyhow, enjoy as I have some will be great, some may not be, but there’s a lot to choose from. Enjoy! :good:
It is recommended for best performance to use a Custom ROM, and with the speed changes I suggest the User Permissions settings to rw-r-r-T the “T” represents Sticky which is a Special Permission usually located in the lower right menu of Root Explorer.
A few notes to start, there are 4 files that I tend to use within the Bootanimations which are:
1) Bootsamsung.qmg = this is the large file that holds/starts the bootanimation
2) Bootsamsungloop.qmg = this is a rather small file can either loop or end the bootanimation
3) PowerOn.ogg = this is file that plays sound during the bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg.
4) Shutdown.qmg = this is a mid-size file that plays a bootanimation as the device turns off, best way to activate is to select Power-> then reboot
While shutdown.qmg’s can be customized to work on different bootanimations, I have developed some bootsamsungloop.qmg’s to function separate of the bootsamsung.qmg, this allows the ability to fully customize the bootanimations that you would prefer to view. These QMG’s are listed in a Category called Intermezzo’s as they are Interchangeable without interrupting.
A few things to keep in mind.
A custom Bootanimation works best with a custom ROM, it simply does, Stock ROMs do not finish the same, often times the System will perform an “Apps Update.”
There is usually a delay between the loading of the Bootanimation and after the Safestrap loading screen appears.
QMG files have limitations some will not be as clean as Flashable Bootanimations, while others will present better.
Bootanimation’s require the use of both bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg (using one without the other will produce undesirable results.)
Please, give credit where due, there are many Bootanimations here, if I left someone out please let me know, if you want to post my work, please extend the courtesy.
CREDITS:
I give credit to xessus for his instruction and guidance with the Samsung Theme Designer program and QMG Formatting. Also, a Special Thanks to JaeKar99 who is the "Original Bootanimation Designer" that created large portion of these bootanimations seen here, I have reformatted them for our viewing pleasure!
With so many Bootanimations it is often hard to remember all of the sources that I pulled them from, the largest source Developer that does simply incredible work and is simply known throughout the Android community for his work is JaeKarr99 which most of the Bootanimations that appear in this LiBRaRy KoLLecTioN are his, I have simply accepted the challenge of using a difficult themeing system and configured it the best I can to keep these Bootanimations in the best form possible. This was done through the guidance of xessus as his walkthroughs and many many countless hours of attempting this work is hopefully showing a positive. Other themers I will mention are Crakanug with the Black Ops II Bootanimation, CyanogenMod with CM, BKJolly, and the many others, if I fail to recognize I apologize it is not intentional nor out of disrespect, please forgive me.
Let the FUN BeGiN!

updated Android still is weird. in fact its not finishing animation this time
First one i dl'd did this]
<-------------------Whirling Balls--------------><---------"android" forming--------><"android static"><lockscreem-----------...
The new one does this
<-------------------Whirling Balls--------------><---------"android" forming--------><"android st<lockscreem-----------...
in boith instances the whirling balls and word formation are choppy, what it should be like it f it cant be managed
<-------------Whirling Balls---------><-----"android" forming----><-----------"android static"---------><lockscreem-----------...

So, this sequence is precisely correct. :good: This was exactly how I set it up.
There seems to be a couple of issues running this animation that is a bit different than others in the past, and certainly others in the collection. For one this bootanimation seems to skip over the bootsamsungloop.qmg and goes directly to the lockscreen. If it played correctly the sequence would appear as such on the new one:
<--------Whirling Balls-----><-------"android" forming--------><"android”><---------><”android”><lockscreenAt the same time, there appears to be a timing issue, which this can be seen between the running speeds of the bootsamsung.qmg which is set to 5 and the shutdown which is set to 25. The lower the number the faster the speed, and shutdown is clearly running much faster. However, if you test it out yourself and change the “shutdown.qmg” to “bootsamsung.qmg” the timing will change, it will not run at the same speed as the “shutdown.qmg” it will run much, much, slower.
The fact of the matter is that I will continue to work on this bootanimation until I get it perfect, I know it is not running perfectly, IMO it’s too short of a bootanimation than I really like to work on. I prefer working on Bootanimations that have at least 250 images, this one only has 140 and not that many that can be duplicated or expanded. For those concerned about the sluggish run-time, in the LG G3 forum I have the same problem there with the Android L 5.0 and I’m using a modified bootanimation & shutdown animation zip format, there.

<--------Whirling Balls-----><-------"android" forming--------><"android”><---------><”android”><lockscreen
yeah using that format im gtetting
<--------Whirling Balls-----><-------"android" form><lockscreen.
its not showing the fullyformed android, it nearly completes then dies. if im right in assuming the whirling balls android forming are an animation with the last fram being the fully formed white android word. maybe if you use the original 140 images of the animation then fill up the rest of the animation up to 250 with the last static image. so the animtion in effect is only the first half.
so instead of
<----------whirlingballs----><-----android forming----><"android"> < this being 140 images
try
<----------whirlingballs----><-----android forming----><-------------"android"-------------------> this being 250 images
EDIT i duplicated the shutdown and renamed it bootsamsung. its slow framerate but last juuust right. you can just see a fade out
Edit 2. after some goofing around myself using the Gif in the op i still cant seem to get it to run faster. and ive created it from a 251 image thing. i replicated the last frame over till i filled it up, but on boot itll just finished the word formation, show the text for a split second then go to lockscreen

Certainly is something others have requested, but this is a non-flashable Samsung QMG bootanimation collection.
Just thought I'd say thanks for sharing this amazing collection. Cheers, Bill
Any chance you might do a blue matrix Droid boot

Use this as a template and download others from here and give thanks to the OP for the files. I have included the Android L animation from above in this file. Just replace the .qmq files in the system/media folder for something different, also include the PowerOn.ogg in the system/media/audio/ui folder if it's included in the animation for the start up sound.
Thanks, took a bit of tinkering but I got it to work.
Just changing to matrix boot..is there any sound file for the matrix boot? thanks
Thanks for the awesome work! I'm using the Piss Off Apple boot at the moment. The link for the Dr. Who Time Traveler boot animation is no good. Do you have another for it?
