Hello everyone, I have a question about flashing Bird V1277 or V12. Unfortunatelly I'm very confused about flashing a rom on this unknown chinese phone, but I would really like to flash it because I have gyroscope sensor problems (They're not responding or working), I tried callibration sequence, no work. As well I have problems while watching mp4 or any kind of video on MV Player or BS Player.. H/W Decoding doesn't work, only gives sounds, S/W has too many lag spikes and sounds stop for a few seconds. Multitouch bug.. Did anyone experience a bug with volume max/min buttons on the right? I pressed that and nothing came up.. but after squeezing my phone at volume change thing.. it works, I don't know if that's software bug or hardware.. If anyone has advice or similar, I will be happy to get my phone into working order. Thank you!
And of course.. Is it safe to flash it?
Phone: Android Phone Bird V12/V1277
P.S. Sorry for the double topic, but the other section was filled with other topics so I thought someone who can help won't see my topic.. Once again, I apologize.

Hi all,
I got a recent problem since I use custom Roms such as Cognition or Infusion.
When I turn on the phone, MP4 and AVI videos run well, but when i turn off the screen and turn it on back, the stock player is stuck at 0:00 oO and won't ever work till I reboot the phone.
My solution is to download RealPlayer, it works everytime but I preder stock player.
I can't remember if that kind of things happened with stock rom.
Anyone got the same issue and have a solution ?
Maybe nobody has the same issue...
Hello fellow XDAers!
Last night i flashed HyDrOG3N-ICS ROM, and i must say it's very impressive... most of the things run smoothly and it has alot of cool configurations. but i have some problems, which is pretty critical cause i need them to use the phone on a daily basis, and i would love to acutally do so. Hope you can help me with these stuff:
- I can make calls out of the phone, but when a call is incomming to the phone, it is automaticly cancled. I can see it in the calllog. I thought this could have something to do with the modem, but because i can make calls and becuse the phone notices that there is a call trying to get in in it porbably isnt. Anyway, I live in Norway, just as u know if there could be something with the net/modem.
- The home button doesn't work. It can wake up the phone from sleep, but nothing more than that. ( i have done the "longpress home action ---> show recents" config.)
- The MHL (HDMI converter) over to my TV doesnt work properly. When i connect it the picture on the TV freezes, but the sound works for a few min before the whole thing crashes and the TV turns black. After this I must reconnect to make it work
- I can't play AVI files with the player. I don't know if this is a bug, but i thought .AVI is a pretty standard format and should be able to be played by the mediaplayer.
Thx for ur attention, hope u can help me!
BTW: here is the mainthread for this ROM:

AVI is not a format its a container so check your format .
AS for the rest factory reset or reflash the rom .
Still not working change the rom .

Did you try to reflash the phone amd did you wiped everything before flashed that rom at first place?
ah, thx! it worked
Hey guys im pretty new to this, i have been running my xperia U (rooted) on the old gingerbread for sometime now, finally bit the bullet and unrooted it and upgraded to ICS 4.0.4 via SCC. I quite like ICS its smoother and the phone runs faster (although battery life now suffers) the only issue i am having is I cant play videos on my phone; this includes camera video in the gallery and embedded videos on the browser. I have factory reset about 100 times still hasnt worked and have tried installing adobe air, flash etc still nothing. When i click on a video in the gallery for example i try touching the play button but nothing happens, the thumbnail and video still image is fine just there is no response from touching the play button.
Am i missing something? or am i being a complete tool, iv looked all over the forums for help on this but everyone else seems to be getting some kind of error message, mines just doesnt respond to the touch....
Help please! appreciates
thanks

Thanks for the replies guys but i would prefer to use the devices own video player as i like my menu to be as clutter free as possible with out any uneccesary apps. Update - I reinstalled firmware using SCC last night and video works perfect! untill i start removing the bloatware (like gmail, talk, movies, play now etc) using titanium backup and then the video goes to the same problem again... any suggestions?
could i try reflashing kernel? any one had this issue before?

hey mate thanks for the reply, everyone has recommended this but i dont like having apps on my phone that i really dont need i should be able to use the stock player, but its unresponsive. this goes for embedded vids too!
ALSO
i tried re installing firmware, got it working again but then as i was using Titanium back up to remove the bloatware it stopped working (also made sure i didnt accidently remove important files or programmes that the video player is dependant on...) im stumped! not a disaster but i like to watch the office before i go to sleep at night hahahahah
UPDATE- Found the problem i deleted the "movies" app in titanium which stops the videos from playing in the gallery, what sort of stupid **** is that!
So recently my S3 i9300's camera and speakers (front and back) broke for unknown reasons - maybe because it fell down?
Now my problem is that, someone told me that a broken cam and speaker will not cause any problem in the software side (except cam which will cause an error) but the problem is that eventhough its on the hardware side, my phone does not, cannot play online streaming videos through FB or Youtube or any online streaming site/app, and it also does not play mp3 music as when I try to play anything using any music app, an error saying that the app has stopped.
The good thing is that I am able to play videos of mp4 or avi format that is SAVED on my sd card using mx player app.
My question is, do you think it has something to do with the motherboard of the phone that causes the phone to not play mp3 or stream videos online?
Repairing the mother board is very costly so I am worried it might be the cause.
Any idea whats wrong with my phone?
Please, I need help to soothe out my worries...
Thank you and may God bless your helpful soul.
And it seems like my front speakers dont work too causing my phones calls to drop and when trying to call through viber app or Facebook messenger app, it wont work and the call just drops... Help

ok so it's probably hardware related if you search on Google there are loads of tutorials/videos on how to repair your phone also check out eBay for any spare parts you might need. This all depends of course on how good you are at repairs good luck ☺
Have you tried to reinstall a Stock with Odin? I had last week a similar problem and I had reinstall the StockRom for S3 and it worked again. After it works I had switched back to my favorite ROM ArchiDroid and all works properly.
What firmware did you use? Can you send me a link?
I have tried to flash stock 4.3 firmware with odin but it just made my phone LAG A LOT AND REBOOT A ALOT TOO... I dont know whats the problemm... Maybe I have a different s3 model and I have flashed an i9300 firmware on it that made the cam and speakers to not work??
Help
So I have a S3 and I am totally not sure if its the original I9300 or SHW M440S... I have flashed stock I9300 4.3 firmware and the result was a laggy firmware and my phone kept rebooting. I wasnt the first to own this phone, my uncle did and he said he just flashed the old i9300 4.3 firmware and the problem has occured which is a broken camera (cant connect to camera), not working speakers and headphone jack and mic...
Normally I would just get it fixed but.. Because of the broken cam, speakers and mic, my youtube or any online streaming videos does not load and mp3 musics dont play as the player apps force close when i press play...
Again, a broken hardware does not affect the software so I am not sure if it is really the hardware or I just flashed the wrong kernel on the wrong phone.
Has anyone ever tried to flash a I9300 4.3 official firmware on a S3 SHW M440S?
Did you get the same result as I did?
Do you recommend me to flash a SHW M440S firmware on my s3 just to check? Will it not brick my phone?
Please help me out..
Thanks and God Bless
