Hello friends.
Please help me out, my Xperia mini pro doesnt power on. I get vibration when press power, but no display. After a few seconds I see the keyboard lights on, but thats all. No boot, no animation And no Led blinking or anything.
I managed to connect trought adb And the logcat show cyanogenmod And stuff like that. Like if the Phone has booted. But I cant receive Phone calls either.
How can I find out if I have a problem with display? Tried a few adb commands with no luck
I dont really know what happened with the phose cause its my son's Phone And he says: I dontknow
When I gave this Phone to my son it had cyanogenmod, rooted And with recovery. But dont know if thats working, as I said, no Led info.
Thank you

If it's an Xperia x10 mini pro (2010) device it may be one of two things: either a broken flex-cable (which connects the phone to the display) or a bad battery.
If it's an Xperia Mini Pro (2011) device, i suggest asking in their forum... (although it may still be one of those two issues)
Its a 2010 device, sorry for not clearify that. the model is u20i, so no internal battery.
As said before, dont know why I cant receive phone calls. I also removed the lock screen if any via adb
you say its the flex cable, how can I know if its booting correctly?
Thank you

Not sure how you can check if it's booting properly, but it's not that hard to figure out if the flex is broken or not, there are tutorials for that on youtube.

Not sure If this should be here or not. I've tried my best to search for anything similar.
I have a Sony Ericsson Neo V MT11I and I unlocked it using a program, with my USB Cable.
The unlock cost me £13 and it worked fine. I checked the phone, and It was making calls and working fine.
A few hours later, it was off, so I put in the charger and nothing. No screen or activity. The green light next to the power button comes on and If I connect it to my computer, the computer detects it, then doesn't. (I hear the new device done every minute or so). When it detects then detects its unconnected the green light flashes once.)
It was working fine after I unlocked it, but this seems to of happened hours after I unlocked it.
Thanks for any help!
Hm, sounds to me like your phone entered some sort of bootloop, it can't even go to that image which you see when you charge phone(turned off).
Maybe that's why it founds it, then it disappear, and then it founds it again, and so on.
Can you please try 2 things.
1)hold back key and connect cable to phone (of course, other side is in PC)
2)hold menu key(that's the right one, some people confuse it with home key ) and connect cable(of course, other side is in PC)
Report what happens then. To be more safe, can you please re-insert battery between 1 and 2 (and also before 1) )
Hi Buddy,
While pressing the Menu key, and connecting it, the light remains off, until I release the button. Now I've done this, there is no sound on the computer. Even If I connect it normally without pressing any key.
Thanks,
You didn't answered on my entire question.
Plus, how did you unlocked it? And by unlock, you mean SIM unlock(able to use any SIM card)?
I did that and until I let go of the menu key the light didn't come on, now it lights up upon plugin, but I hear no activity on my computer.
I used wotanserver . com/en/sony-ericsson to sim unlock it, and sorry If I was not clear!
Thanks again.
back key, back key, you didn't answer me on that part
anw, try flashing it with wotan.
Sorry for the late reply. I flashed it, and it's now working fine. I would like to thank you for your help, I'd buy you a pint If I could.
Hey guys,
I thought You could help me to solve it. I have this problem on my xperia x10 mini pro. When the screen goes black automatically I can't wake it up (tried all the buttons, still black), so if I want to use my phone I should reboot it by taking out the battery. Then it is working fine, till the screen goes black or I lock it. This problem only appears when the screen stays black longer (30min to 1h). I tried reinstalling the software with Sony Pc Companion several times, also bought a new battery, but it didn't help me. I'm wondering if anyone else have this problem? Thanks for your answers and sorry for my english.

You have this problem with the Stock ROM?
My phone was rooted when the problem appeared, but now it is happening on the stock room too (I have flashed my phone several times using sony pc companion).
I'm currently having this issue and it's really frustrating, I had it first on the Galaxy S3 with 4.2.1 stock rom, I don't know if it might be an app that might be causing this, basically when i lock the phone the screen turns off but then when i press the power button or the home button to turn on the screen it does not do anything, I know the phone is still on because sometimes if i get a text message i can see the blue led blinking and it will continue to blink even when it's frozen.
The only way to bring it back is by holding the power and home button together in order to reset it.
I tried factory reset and it would not work, I flashed the phone with a custom rom for Paranoid Android 4.3 and it worked great for about a week, no issues at all, but then it started freezing when locked again. I hate this and i'm thinking it might be a hardware issue since I've tried different software versions.

Even worst, if i'm listening to music and i lock the phone or if the screen times out and locks when i try to unlock it i can see it's stuck but the music is still playing....
Also, if the phone is stuck and i try to call it, it will not ring not turn the screen on, it's not like the problem is just the physical buttons, i don't know what to do since the phone is out of warranty, I have never dropped the phone and there is no damage on it, it have never over heat either so i don't know what can i do.....
Any suggestions or help would be really appreciated.
hardware issue.I got same problem before but I didn't manage to fix it.

Thank you for the reply, do you know specifically what kind of hardware problem was it? Were you able to fix it or you just had it replaced?

But it's really strange, It is a hardware issue and it should affect all the time, not randomly i would think... I don't know if the problem is with the processor or the buttons, i don't know how to determine that..

The first week with Paranoid Android 4.3 it worked greatm even faster than the stock rom and I also liked it because it is android 4.3, the issue started one week after, and i'm thinking that during the first week i did not install all the apps i use, once i installed all the apps it started happening.
The first time i had the issue was right after the facebook messenger app was updated, i tried uninstalling it and the issue was still happening, if i check the running apps and i can see several of my apps running in the background such as Facebook messenger, Viber, Skype, Avast (6 services) Applock, GO weather EX, whatsapp, Facebook.
Maybe i'm just reluctant to think that this is a hardware issue, cause there is no way for me to get some logs or a hardware report that may show any crashes or anything.. I like this phone, it have everything i need and i refuse to think that it's a piece of crab but i've had nothing but troubles with it since day 1...
I dont think it is SW problem because even flashing multi package stock firmware doesn't fix the issue.I tried replacing lcd and display driver but still remain unsolved.
Edit:I think there is a defective sensor chip which I don't have a unit to test already.
hello, i have same issue, and stil stuck with it, anyone can help me?
Hey guys,
So im experiencing something very weird. My phone randomly stop responding to touch. I cannot unlock the phone, I tried safe mode and now phones in airplane mode. Cant factory reset as it requires me to type "yes" on the screen. I don't have a way to connect a mouse to a USB c port atm. Also when it boots, the huawei logo isnt centered(the fancy blinking one, the normal initial white one with the android logo underneath is fine) and the fingerprint scanner logo is way bellow where it usually is. Any suggestions on what to do? I cant send it to service center as there are none in the country I am in right now. Is there a way to use my pc to somehow emulate a mouse on my phone? Any methods of force factory reset? Looking for anything that might work people!
Thanks, hope to hear from some of you guys soon.
I've been stalking this forum for a few years now, from back before all the pop ups, but for the first time i'm stumped. Here's the rundown: i broke my pixel 6. not terribly heartbroken, the phone is ****, everything it does "well" is only moderate on any other phone i've owned.... sorry, digression. Anyway, screen is completely black and unresponsive to touch. screen is locked with 6 digit pin. I know the pin. but i cant enter it because the unresponsive screen. Phone gives haptic feedback when a wireless mouse is plugged into a multi port adapter, which i bought intending to plug the phone into an hdmi port... but back to the pixel 6 being a ****ty phone, i have to install an app to do so, since the phone doesn't do it natively.....which i cant do, because it seems that while usb debugging may be on (adb detects the phone) i cant authorize the computer.... even though ive done it a hundred times, always clicking "always allow from device" sorry, digression again. i just want to get my **** off of this phone. guys at cell phone store are either incapable or incompetent, because they say they need touchscreen access. i have otg adapter, multiport adapter, wireless keyboard/mouse....can anyone help me?
EDIT broken phone has to go back to the insurance company in....6 days
If your mouse works, can't you backup your info to your google account?

sure would, hell, it does. except that im still signed in on the old phone. and since that is the case, google keeps asking me to verify my identity via broken phone. and trying to do account recovery results in an email explaining that im signed in on another device, and if i want to change my password, i can do so on that device
Oh ok

you see my dilemma?
You may be able to project your screen with a wired dock (see https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/2865484?hl=en). By following the directions and begging for or borrowing a USB-C dock from someone, you should be able to get your stuff off your device, especially as you can connect a mouse to the dock if touch doesn't work.
The other alternative that may work for you is to go into fastboot (long press power to shut off the device, then press and hold volume down while pressing and holding power) and use ADB to backup your device, including the storage. See https://www.technipages.com/how-to-backup-your-entire-android-device for details, and pay attention to the -shared flag.
