About a week ago I decided to root and install cm10 on my huawei U8665 (fusion 2). I messed up because I didn't look to deeply into what must be done. Needless to say I broke the IMEI and now my phone doesn't connect to the 3g. I need help into how to fix the imei, it's at 0, and I don't know what to do.
If you didnt make a backup the only advise we can give is do a warranty return. This is due to editing the IMEI is illegal in many countries and as such all talks about IMEI altering is banned from the site.
How about restoring the original IMEI? The factory IMEI is printed behind the battery on the inside. Is restoring the original, and not editing, still illegal. SigmaKey software.

hello, somehow my imei got null probably because of rom. I couldn't succeded restoring imei but I know the number so is there a way to write my imei manually ? Thank you.
Google RIFF box. Or you could try flashing some stock roms; sometimes the IMEI disappearing is temporary & flashing stock brings it back. Without a good EFS backup, you won't be fixing this easily yourself.
If flashing stock doesn't bring it back, my advice would be to take it to a local mobile repair shop/someone who knows what they're doing. It will be a lot cheaper than you paying for a RIFF box (that you'll never use again), plus, if you don't know what you're doing, you could bork your phone to the point where you'll need a motherboard replacement if you get it wrong.
Do the smart thing.
First off I already read everythreads with the keywords : "Fake imei" "corrupted efs" "0049" "00499901064000" "generic imei" "Imei problem" etc ....
I tried theses methods : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17587351
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY9cDkj4CCw
delete nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 and reboot
I also tried to use another ROM but nothing is actually working.
Full story :
July 2012 I buy a SGSII from a woman I just met (yeah stupid but it was only 200€ so ..) it works like a week and then the network problem, it seems that this bi... had a anti-theft insurance and reported the phone as stolen (she gave me all the documents) so they blacklisted the IMEI and the phone was unusable. I then rooted the phone, and deleted nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 wich worked because i had connectivity, i used the phone for like 2 months and then the problem showed up again, blacklisted (i think) so i managed to make it work again by installing a new ROM and then doing the delete it worked again for several months. And now 2 days ago my IMEI got blacklisted (or some****) again. Tried deleting > nada, tried using a new rom (Cyanogenmod 10.1.2) and then delete > nada, doing the 2 methods listed above > nada. I don't really know what I can do, i just wasted 200€ and now my IMEI is 00499901064000.
I really need your help.
PS : As said before I make this thread because everytime the Imei problem is related to a ROM fail or corrupted EFS files. But my problem is that even if i fixe the problem it will be back in a few months and it will be harder to solve.
PS 2 : Excuse me for misspellings, and if it's not in the right place.
I see your problem, but that link is related to get your imei back.If you get yours back then it is blacklisted....lol.The only way is to keep using the "temp" one or contact the company that blacklisted it and see if they can help.

Yeah I know that but i was thinking, if I get back the old one, the original one, maybe i can delete theses two files, and make it work again, like going back to the first time i solved this problem.
Already contacted them they said they can't do anything.
And my actual IMEI is a 0049 so I can't connect to the network.
There's nothing you can do about it if the carrier won't unblacklist it. That's pretty much the end of the discussion. Chalk it up as experience.
OMG OMG OMG
I just found my first save of my EFS files.
I replaced the actual EFS folder with my very first one and it worked, got my first IMEI back, and i don't know how but it's not blacklisted anymore
Thanks anyway guys
I've just upgrade my SHV E120L from the rom LiquidSmooth linking below : http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-2014-4-3-liquidsmooth-v3-0-longshao-t2705705
My Phone's imei usually disappear and no mobile service both . No signal .... Sometimes it appear . How can i re-write my imei . Thanks .
1) Remove your IMEI from your post immediately. You obviously don't realise how easy it is for someone to take it & write it to another device. This will result in your IMEI being blacklisted by networks around the world & your phone will become a plastic paperweight.
2) Try flashing a stock rom for your carrier/country, sometimes the IMEI disappearing is a temporary thing. Also, if you have an EFS backup (and you have no excuses for not having one if you're modding your phone in any way), try restoring it. There are also a lot of 'guides' on here that can be found by searching which claim to enable you to recover your IMEI. I don't know whether any of these work personally or not as I've never had to use them (I make backups).
3) Failing all that, take it to a local mobile repair shop. Many have the necessary equipment to write the IMEI back to the advice fairly cheaply (for example, I can have this done for ~AUD$30 where I live).
by a accident i deleted my EFS file etc. when i was flashing a custom firmware. Then my phone was working correctly except my GSM.
I searched all the internet and i couldn't find a way to take restore my efs. Than i went to a local telephone technical service in my town and he fixed my phone. But i didn't realise he didint use my original imei. I used the phone a several months then suddenly my phone's gsm didint work. So i controlled my imei and it was "004999010640000". And now i need to change my imei number to my original one. How can i do that? i tried "IMEI MAKER/MP0B_001 file method", "MtkDroidTools" and "MauiMETA 3G" and also some other programs. They worked but specially IMEI parts didnt work.
So i need your help. If its a illegal thing. Just PM me. I didint do anything illegal an i need my phone back.

IMEI is send over your carrier database, they check all IMEIs over network, your IMEI probably was banned because used IMEI number from someones lost or stolen phone
I've bought it like this and i thought it can be repaired, i had a similar problem with my i9500 a while back and i fixed it by flashing some modem on the right firmware, i don't even know what i had done but it took me 3 full days of trying, truly frustrating. I haven't got the phone's imei as it came without a box or accessories hope you can help me out !
Here is what i've tried so far :
- Flashing 3 different 6.0.1 stock firmwares, none of them worked and after every single flash i would encounter device root key error, i have no idea why but it's easily solvable by flashing some kernel as i've seen on some ytb tutorial.
- Backuped the efs folder from phone root on PC then deleting it from the phone root, restart the phone and proceed with replacing the nv_data.bin and the other similar-named file with the ones i backuped then changing permissions to 1001. <--- This i've seen on some forum, i thought it might help, but it didn't change anything!
I really hope you can help me out, i'm bored of searching the web for answers, most of solution i've found are related to some z3x box or octopus and i believe these cost a lot of money and there is no service in my city that can repair phone's imei
Heloo
Hi i had same problem 920f after flash a wrong rom the only fix is octopus box ...they must rewrite imei it cost me 30 euros!
As i said, there is no such service in my city (I live in Braila, since you're romanian too ), but i'm pretty sure it can be solved without special equipment. I think the owner flashed the 6.0 using odin and spooked when saw fake imei then rushed to sell it. It happened the same to me 2 years ago with a i9500 but i eventually solved it without prior backup.
