Hide navbar from only homescreen? - Xposed Framework Modules

I have searched high and low and tried many different things. Most modules I have found hide both the statusbar and the navbar and leaves the gap between my homescreen dock and the bottom of the screen as if the navbar was still there. I'm looking for some way to only hide the navbar from nova launcher as if i was to disable it (pushing my dock to the bottom). I know its not that big of a deal but it literally keeps me rearranging my homescreen everyday...please help!

ADW Launcher and ICS

I am running the Kang release of ICS on my GTab. I am a big fan of ADW Launcher but on ICS, there is a blue bar that runs the length of the screen at the top. I have not been able to find a way to get rid of it (if there is a way). Anyone?
disabling it as default isnt' working here, but when you do set a swipe action in awd launcher to "hide/unhide statusbar" it works fine.
hope that helps.
If you want to permanently disable it and make sure you don't accidentally enable it by swiping, the easiest way would be this:
Long press on homescreen
Choose "Launcher Actions" -> "Show/Hide statusbar"
Click the icon you just made to hide the status bar
Delete the icon to make sure you won't accidentally make it come back
Enjoy
PS: Some people seem to believe that you can't get to "my apps" or "ADW options" if you disable the status bar on top. That is not the case, you click on the "options" (3 dots) icon on the bottom bar to get options, and you can get both app list and options with launcher actions.
I had a similar issue. I couldn't get the status bar to hide when using the option form the settings menu. Instead I set up a button to show and hide it. Its working great, status bar is just a click away.
I appreciate the replies. Feel stupid for not trying the hide status bar.
ADW just plain rocks!
Shame theres not a way to keep the buttons (app draw and all) but remove the blue bar.
Still, at least it matches the clock and wifi at the bottom of the screen :E
Thanks for the heads up on this one! That Blue line was driving me nuts!
Impossible to remove the blue bar.
It does not work for me.

An alternative???

How to Hide the Grey Nav Bar on HAM2 Using Emotion UI Settings

Hi All,
It took me a while to figure out, but you can add an option to hide the grey nav bar on an unrooted HAM2 and make it reappear by swiping up. It is somewhat confusing because the nav bar setting is not available if you have your Emotion UI set to the Standard home screen style. You have to apply the "Simple" home screen style first, which is the one with the giant colored buttons for grandma to use.
After you apply the Simple home screen style, go back into settings, select More Settings and then scroll down to the bottom of the list. You will see a new option called "Navigation Bar" has been added. If you press this option you will see a toggle switch for "Hide Navigation Bar" along with some instructions on how to use it. Once you have toggled the switch to hide the navigation bar, you can revert back to the Standard Emotion UI and the setting will be retained.
After I hid the navigation bar I found some apps I had difficulty installing would start to work OK. For example, if you try to install NBA Jam without hiding the navigation bar, it will get hung on the initial splash screen. After I hid the navigation bar, NBA Jam would check for updates and then proceed to the game without any problem.
Hope this helps anyone having difficulty with the nav bar!

This is the Kitkat feature I missed the most. My main motivation to buy a HAM2 was to read novels in it, instead of carrying a smaller phone and a tablet. For that purpose, the screen is stunning, but that dammed gray navbar was always in the way. Not anymore!
Thank you so much for this tip. You made my day!
Wow, nice find!
Now I have a bit more room on this already huge display. Thanks! :good:

This option should be there regardless of what launcher u are using.. It's a standard feature in the settings.. No? I have a China version on 4.4.2.. No sure if there's a difference though..

A bit laggy compared to using one of the root options. But better ten nothing if you don't want to root. Thanks.
Thank you,.!.!
Only reason I wanted to rood was immersive mode, this is close enough.
I love this phone even more now - coming from a 32gb One plus one.
Damn! You had a oneplus one? I got an invite but I'm gonna have to pass on that

WOW!!! Thanks so much for sharing this great find. It works GREAT!!!!!
Thanks given. This was the only reason I was rooted. Along with greenify. Now with the ability to hide the navbar and the ability to disable background apps included in the stock ROM, I really don't have any need for root. I still might use links2sd to install more apps if I hit that 6gb limit. This phone is solid!
Making the navigation bar hidden is called "immersive mode". There are apps on the Play Store that supposedly let you toggle immersive mode. Please post your results if you try one.
I'm guessing those apps will let you switch to immersive mode independent of standard or simple mode.

No settings in notification bar

I tried another launcher than stock but I switched back because there where no settings/shortcut icons (wi-fi on off etc.) there. But now I can't get them back. Where are they? I just have notifications now.
Have I messed with some setting somewhere or what?
/Marcus
With the modified EUI, there are no Quicksettings in Notification area. You have to press the softkey left (= square, Menu Button) to launch the "recent apps" screen with shortcuts to most system settings und some (configurable) other shortcuts...
Aha! Thanks. There they where. Not a good place in my opinion. Really bad place to have "shortcuts" on
other question about the notification bar. Is their a way to change the really small fonts against bigger ones ? Sometimes it's hard to view the ultra small icons and letters in the notification bar. It's so small that I believe I need glasses. I'm on EUI 5.9.23S

Galaxy S8 - Nav Bar Show Hide Button?

Probably a long shot and not even sure if it is a Nova 'thing'
I have just rebuilt my S8+. Prior to the rebuild the Nav Bar Show / Hide button was visible on the Nova Home screens which was nice as I was able to hide the buttons however since the rebuild it is no longer there! Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I may be able to get it back at all please? (it is of course enabled and visible in all other apps/places, just not on the Nova Home screens anymore
Thanks!

Hiding nav bar and using hard press on home then drag left/right removed?

Hey so im hearing they removed thisfeature and replaced it with gestures as the only stock option to "remove" the navbar.
I take it the only way we can still have it if enough give feedback or using ADB though we can only hide it permanetly not replicate the feature on pre pie versions
