Solved : Bluetooth Volume in kit Kat? - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

EDIT : problem solved, the phone is not guilty. By the way, there is still a bug, the volume can't be adjusted during call. I use the "A2DP Volume" to manage the volume, as a workaround.
Hello,
I can't explain how such a good phone can fail at the bluetooth feature. The volume is incredibly low, I can't explain this as we talk about digital signal. Furthermore, during a bluetooth call I can't adjust the volume.
At least did somebody find a workaround? I tried AD2P volume, without success. Maybe I didn't find the right parameters. I saw some mods in the dev zone, all about incall volume, but I don't want to ruin things that currently work.

I dont have this problem. My bluetooth headphones are much louder than a cable ones.

Thanks for your answer. I saw other testimonies about this problem, it would be a good thing to identify the cause.

I don't nave this problem either. Quite the opposite, actually, sometimes the bluetooth headset is even too loud. Are you sure this is not headset-dependent?

Thank you for your advice. After some tests the phone is not guilty, the handsfree had set a low volume during the first connection. We can close this subject.

Incoming call with handset Bluetooth...

With my handset, the Incoming call is quite low, inaudible...
Even at the loudest setting (5)
How to make it much loud, Please ?
Qtek support don’t give any solution, any help is welcome.
First post, but i'll try.
You have 2 configurations of audio. One in the phone and, normally, one of the bluetooth. The bluetooth audio is at the loudest setting too? If it is, try the bluetooth in other phone. If doesn't work, try to hard reset the phone. There are some WM phones that the audio became inaudible for nothing, and after a reset, became normal.
Hope it works.
Sorry the terrible english
@PreZ
Thank you for your help… Prez, Your & My English are “Impecável »
But The Bluetooth audio haven’t loudest setting, I don’t think so…
Can you give more informations, about that ?
Sure,
In some brands, the bluetooth doesn't control de volume of the phone, so when in use, press one of the two buttons of it. One is for raise volume and the other is to down the volume. I know it's common in Motorola's bluetooth.
The phone WM goes until 5 the volume, but normally, some bluetooth have 8 or 10 sound level.
Try this and feedback me if it worked, or, send me a pm in other language

[Q] Permanent solution to too low In-call volume on headset

Hi,
I'm on Galaxy S2; Android 2.3.3; KE7.
When using headphones on my device the volume is great for music, videos, youtube, and even skype. However for some reason it's only around half of that level when calling (even tough the volume is set to maximum).
I've done some google research and found out that it's quite a common issue with this phone. A workaround has been found by using some codes. However, it is not a permanent solution.
I've found a post which says that someone had called Samsung and they acknowledged the issue and will send them a new phone where this issue has been fixed.
1) Has anyone found a permanent solution to increasing the volume of the call when on headset?
2) I've also found a post where someone says that apparently Samsung will fix this issue in Android 2.3.4. Can you confirm this? When will this be available? If it's longer than 1-2 weeks I will have to send my phone for a refund/exchange (although I love it).
Your advice on the above is much appreciated.
Hi, I've done some further research and I think I've found the solution:
First make sure that your sound is on (as you can't access the volume settings in the silent mode) -> press the Menu button -> Settings -> Sound -> Volume -> and then increase the 'Incoming call' volume.
I've just tested the call volume when on headset and it has been increased to a more that enough level. Great. My love to this phone is growing
Now I have to figure out how to disable the camera shutter sound....but that's a question for another post...
It seems that the solution above worked for some time but now my phone started to deliver very low call volume when on headphones. Maybe it's due to the Android update, I don't know.
However I found that the issue is related to the media volume. For example when I listen to music and turn the volume low then this affects the incoming call volume and it becomes low as well.
The solution to this problem seems to be: make sure that the music volume is max before you want to make a call. I've just tested it an is seems to do the trick.
It would be great to hear to another solutions to this problem for unrooted phones.
Heard this app works well,

[Q] Low in-call volume with wired headset

This problem has been talked about some time, but I'm not able to find a real solution:
I'm using CM9 with Siyah-kernel. When I use a wired headset, the in-call volume is extremly low. Even at max I cannot understand the other party when I'm outside.
Now, some solutions have been proposed:
* Use STweaks to boost headset volume. That works but also increases the music volume. If I boost it enough so that in-call volume is good, music volume gets hard to control.
* Use the service menu. On my phone I cannot access the audio menu. As I understand, I could flash a different modem (e.g. XXKI3). Can anyone tell me where to download it? All links I found were dead. And anyhow, as I understand these settings are reset on boot. So it's not really a permanent solution.
Is there anything else someone could think of?
I'd really appreciate any ideas.
Best regards
Ole

[Q] Viper4Android Bluetooth Issue

I tried to see if a similar question had been asked and answered, but could not find anything quite on point so I am hoping someone can help me with this issue.
I have Viper4Android installed on my rooted Moto X and have been using it forever without issue under the "headset" tab. I just got a bluetooth headset and have been experiencing some weird problems. I loaded up the same profile for the bluetooth tab as my headset, but it seems like volume almost "flutters" at times.
When the phone is connected to my bluetooth headset it tends to occur when the chorus of a song hits and the bass is more pronounced. It sounds like the volume decreases for a bit and then once there is less bass the vocals get louder again. However, I don't experience the same thing when I hook up the same headset to my phone with a cable.
I am trying to figure out whether it might be my phone, the headset or a setting on Viper that I need to adjust for when it is using bluetooth as opposed to a wired connection. Thanks for any advice!

it's maybe cause of the app, the bugs of the viper4android
check the viper4android thread, maybe there's new update for it and fixed the bugs

How To Guide Sony Bluetooth Headphone Volume Fix

Okay, So if you have noticed in either Stock or one of the Many Great custom Roms that your Sony Bluetooth Headphones aren't very loud, or as loud as they are when connected to another audio source (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Smart TV) Then I have a simple fix for you. I literally felt like a dumbf*ck when I figured this out.
There is a separate volume slider in Sony's headphone app, it is supposed to move separately from the phones volume slider. If you don't see that this is the case then you must go into Developer settings and Disable Absolute Volume Control then reboot your phone now you should see the volume sliders move separately, the one in Sony's Headphone app will control the Headphones Volume while your phones Volume slider will control the Output being sent to your headphones.
This should work for any Bluetooth headphones that use Sony's headphone app, I'm currently using Sony WF-1000XM4's with my Sony Xperia 1 Mark 3.
Mind you this should technically work for any Bluetooth Headphones with either Software or Physical Volume control.

To you perhaps but not to all, the reason i got these specific bluetooth headphones was because Best Buy gave me a deal since someone returned them because "they weren't loud enough".
Thank you so much,
I was having problems with this!

You're welcome, and same lol
I noticed after last updates to headphones app sony broke the volume. Well they broke the headphones in general. For me it is not only not as loud as in past, I have also a problem with noise cancelling that is turning off by itself! In the app there is some automatic control, but I do not want any automation, how can I disable it??? XM4 became useless for me with the latest update to sony's crapware app :/
Also, I have volume control on the right headphone. But many times it is not working, do not increase or decrease the volume. I must either reconnect the headphones and turn off/on bluetooth or restart the phone to make it work again. This headphones app is so horrible! Not to mention it does not support my native language... There are probably 300 words max to translate but it's too much $ for greedy sorry to translate it...
