[Q] CyanogenMod 9.1 - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear community,
To flash my phone, I followed this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2118645
So I installed CWM Recovery, I rebooted into recovery, I did a backup of the phone, I wiped the phone and I installed the ROM provided. Unfortunately, my phone isn't working anymore (I think it is soft bricked as the start screen does pop up).
Loading the recovery however, did not work either.
What did I do wrong? How can I go back to my old Gingerbread OS or the CM 9.1?
Help would greatly be appreciated!
Edit: So right now I'm trying to follow the unbrick tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551156
But does anyone have help for flashing the phone again? What did I forget?

unbrick
So, I tried to unbrick it but it seems to not be working with the tutorial here, so I used this:

So far, so good. Unbricked the phone now. But how do I flash it? I really want to get rid of my Gingerbread...

[Q] Need help getting a custom ROM, cant get passed E3 to use clockwork

Hi, Ok, so I am new at this and I have a samsung galaxy vibrant on tmobile...i got it and it was running eclair 2.1, I figured out how to root it and then upgraded to froyo 2.2. Now I am wanting to get either Bionix ROM or Nero V3. I have followed all the steps, got rommanager, did the flash clockworkmod recovery, dowloaded the zip file and put it in the root of my sd, but when i go to reboot, it wont run as clockwork, no matter how many times i try!
I read that it is because 2.2 has recovery e3 and i need e2...so it says t download a kernal that contains clockwork recovery but the problem is i cannot find one. I can find stuff all day long about the galaxy I9000 but nothing on the vibrant!
I have Odin and was wondering can I flash the rom straight to the phone?
My model number is SGH-T959, Kernel is 2.6.32.9, and build is FROYO.UVKB5.
Please help me, I really have no clue what I am doing, I just want my phone to run fast, get a nice looking theme for it, and not have to worry about it messing up and from what i have read the only way to that is to get a custom ROM and the only way to get themes is thru a custom ROM....
So if anyone can tell me how to go about getting my phone to recover using clockwork and any links i need to download the stuff I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!!!
Just bricked my phone i think!!!
Ok so i just followed all of the directions on this sight on how to do it, i backed up my apps with titanium then put my phone in download mode with odin and tried to flash the kernal for my phone to upgrade it and on odin it just said on the screen part, modem, it was green and nothing else happened so i unplugged it because it wouldnt reboot even after waiting a while (10min) and then the screen just showed a broken link between phone and comp and wouldnt change, so i looked at how to restore it with odin and did that and now it will go to the download screen again but nothing else! PLEASE HELP!!!!
follow this guide it will solve all your problems press the thanks button

Someone please help me, I rooted my phone...

I have a s4 schi545 and used the all in one tool for rooting my phone. It worked successfully, so I ran the install twrp 2.5.0.2 I then went to the cyanogen website and put a rom on my phone in a folder and tried to load it onto my phone. The cm loading screen just loops endlessly and I cannot get my phone back on, can someone please help me I am starting to freak out a bit.
edit:
I got it to open with recovery mode, now is there a way I can have it boot into the 'default os' ?
You flashed cyanogenmod in, so the stock rom is gone (unless you actually performed a nandroid backup which you could restore if you did). You are going to have to mount your phone to a PC and load a different rom to flash.

Did you do a factory reset when loading the new ROM? You can't carry data from one ROM to another. If you really want to go back, as stated above you'll need to use Odin to flash the stock firmware.
You may have to go back to stock if you didn't make the backup and start over.
You can restore your phone to factory here

Just make sure you follow the Op's directions carefully...
He didn't wipe ..

Thanks alot.
Before I went to sleep last night I rebooted in recovery and did a data wipe, I had no idea you had to clear the entire os and am happy to know the stock os is now gone, I was going to ask that today. What do you guys think of CM 10?
Thank you all so much.

[q] help!! Note down

So ,im sorry but its a long story. Hopefully someone can help. My note is Rooted Ive been using TWRP. Everything had been fine until 2 days ago. I tried flashing a ROM i found on Goomanger.( I had been running liquid smooth) just wanted to try something different. Anyways it got stuck on a boot loop. Cant remember the name of the Rom. Anyways i was able to get back to recovery, thankfully. But when i wiped and flashed back to liquid smooth it would say optimizing apps, then it would reach a certain number then reboot and star all over again. So then i tried another Rom and the same thing happened. tried flashing back to stock rooted but it would turn on then completely crash and star booting up again. So finally i was able to flash paraandroid 4.1.2 and Gapps, but here is the kicker i have no service (AT&T) says cannot locate network, my IMEI is gone basically the cellular isn't working. Everything else works fine WiFi,apps, camera. Just cant make calls. I really need your guys help please.:crying:
If you have a suggestion please let me know, i hate using an old Iphone

Just odin back to stock. Get a complete factory stock image from the main sticky thread and flash it with Odin and Download Mode. There's a bug on one of the TWRP versions with 4.3-based ROMs that will put it into a bootloop by breaking device reboots. I was unable to flash my way out of the problem and was forced to do a complete reimage which solved all the problems and put me right back to clean-out-of-the-box state, then I reinstalled TWRP (though an older version before the boot loop bug) and re-flashed my custom ROM. The package I used was the stock image and Odin tool all in one .exe, just plug in to download mode and run it and it flashed bootloader, recovery, system, kernel, etc. all back to stock.

Thanks thats what i did, I just basically had to use KIES to use the emergency recovery, then root my phone again. My question is what version of TWRP causes this? cause i used the newest version i could find off GOO. My other concerne is, will it accept or be safe to use a custom ROM? Well i gues ill find out  THANKS AGAIN!
Everyone with the sgh-i717 is having problems with the latest TWRP and the most stable version is 2.5.0.0. Go with that one or you'll be starting all over again I imagine. And don't just stop at the download link in the OP's, read the thread and find out what's going on. The problems with TWRP have been going on for a while and the development threads have a lot of comments about the latest build causing problems. Good luck! :good:

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 [gt-p3113][os deleted][stuck on old cwm recovery]

I'd like to start this thread in establishing that I am not familiar with how all this works, nor do I have any idea how to fix it, which is why I'm here. I only know the system info, such as version, firmware, etc.
In attempting to add cyanogen mod on my already previously rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 gt-p3113, I watched a video that directed me to install clockwork recovery and root in a single bundle using Odin, (which I successfully did). I then proceeded to install cyanogen mod while in clockwork recovery, which it then told me to factory reset wipe all data before doing so. After going to the "main page" of CWM and resetting the device like it told me, I then went back to install cyanogen mod, only to have it tell me that CWM is out of date. I tried rebooting the device, but it would take me back to CWM, which im assuming means I deleted to OS on accident.
After all that, I finally concluded I'm stuck on an old version of Clockwork Recovery with no OS installed. I can access download mode, however when I'm not in download mode the device automatically boots up to the old version of clockwork mod, and I'm stuck there.
As I have no idea how all this stuff works and did pretty much everything from a YouTube video, I'm hoping a more experienced developer can help fix the problem and somehow help me regain use of my tablet. At this point I don't care whether I can get cyanogen mod installed or not, and I would appreciate all the help I can get.
Thanks

Well, I would say that may be a bigger problem ! Now what I think better for you would be trying to flash the stock ROM over to the device again I am sure you have your hands over the flashing. So head over to the sammobile/firmware section and try getting the stock ROM downloaded and flash it over your device.

need help as after rooting my phone got stucked

Hello guys.
Happy holidays! I need your help badly as my samsung s3 19300i is stucked. After rooting my phone successfully. I tried to flash a custom ROM (EOL)5.1.1
I followed the instructions properly and then when the phones restarts. It ended up getting stucked on the title screen.
It never loads even I waited for a couple of minutes.
I tried to flash again my TWRP using Odin but still my phone doesnt go to recovery mode. It always go to the download mode and says "could not do normal boot"
I've been trying to fix this for the last 6 hours now and I feel desperate as I have posted and send help with you guys.
I would really appreciate your help guys.
Cheers!
Hello and thank you for using Q/A,
I think you tried to Flash my ROM, because it's particular EOL.
You need to flash stock and then start from new. If you need help to flash stock, please search in S3 General section. Then please start from new and install TWRP 2.8.7.3 Official.
Kind regards
Trafalgar Square
As stated, flash stock via odin and start over.
thanks
YEs. Mr. Trafalgal.
I tried to use your custom ROM but didnt work for me . MAybe i did it wrong. I will try to do what you said and will update to you.
Thank you very much
Someone needs to highlight the dangers of using modified recoveries..
If you are flashing a custom rom you MUST reset to factory then reroot and flash using only offical recoveries + cfautoroot.
Bootloops are common if you do not adhere!.
