So I love SlimRom, and all I really wanted to do was build it to go faster. Weeklies from Slim come out on Sundays, and I'll be realising my weeklies a few days later. I want to test stability before I give it to you. Anyways, I'm not responsible for what you do to your phone  , and do a nandroid backup, because if you don't, you're stupid.

At a glance...
Fast boot..which I've come to expect from almost all slim builds.
Been awhile since I used slim..forgot about the DPI difference. Might be worth noting in the op.
No theme support..again, been awhile..lol
Super Smooth transitions, fast responsive browser
I think I would run this as a daily..just from initial look. But I must have theme support and I would also have to change the DPI..but that would be easy enough.
All in all..nice build. I'll stick around and see how it develops..but for right now I'm going to give you're aokp a swing.:good:

I was thinking of changing the dpi from 182 to 210 but wasn't sure if users would want that, so I'll make a note of it in the op. thanks for the tip. i honestly don't think any slim builds will get theme engine, users have been requesting that for ages and hasn't happened.

This is a very nice Rom and I plan on using as my daily. How could I go about changing the DPI? I will do research on this very topic, but figured I'd ask since you said it'd be simple. I would appreciate your help. Thanks, even though I know this isn't your rom.

+1 what peterson65 said. the way i do it is via "root explorer" (the app) navigate to system change permission to r/w open up build.prop and look for "ro.sf.lcd_density=182" and just change 182 to what ever like (320 is stock), save after making the edit and reboot to see it the change sticks.

Hey, I flashed this ROM today. Very nice looking and feeling, but I'm having one major issue. When I go to unlock my phone (hit the power button to turn the screen on), the screen doesn't turn on. The button is working. The capacitive buttons under the screen light up, but the actual screen doesn't turn on. I have to hit the power button 2-5 more times.
Anyone know what is up and how to fix it?

Where are those option in this ROM? I can't seem to find them.
Also, why isn't Google Hangouts compatible with this?

you need to use an app to raise cpu speeds this rom doesn't have that feature built in, I'm using "setcpu". what do you mean not compatible? i just installed it fine, if you obtained it from gapps that might be why.

Installing SetCPU now. I'll let you know if that works. For Hangouts, it wasn't in Gapps. I'm trying to get it from play store, but it says incompatible.

not sure why it would say that but try clearing play store data and try again.

Cleared Store data. Same thing. Also tells me it's incompatible when I check from the desktop web Play Store.
Also, I don't seem to have root? I thought that any custom ROM would automatically have root access. What do I need to do to get Root so I can use SetCPU?
Thanks for all the help!

Thank you so much for continuing to build for our notes. Appreciate it very much! I love my note, and hate to give it up. . Be a few days before I'm able to load this, but when I do....

PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
PER-APP-COLOR Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.
To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

I have a feeling this is going to be a recurring question in every ROM thread for the Note 2. If its an AOSP based ROM(or not based on TouchWiz) you can bet it won't have any of the bells and whistles of the TW S-Pen, but you'll at least have the normal touch functionality of it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that was my understanding.
So if it's an AOSP ROM, unless it says something in the OP about cool S-Pen features that they implemented, just think of your S-Pen as a second finger. And if it's based on TW...chances are YES it does have all of the S-Pen features.

First off I love this rom!! I ran Notta's port on my Fascinate and S3!!! For a alpha build this thing is solid!! Spen works great, but I do have one request. Is there anyway a script could be made so when you removed the spen the nav buttons would pop up and disable hardware keys? That's really the only thing the spen needs for functionality since gestures do not work... such as drawing a less than sign to go back. Thx

That's what I was thinking too. S Pen enhanced rom has much bigger file......thanks anyway.
I just got a phone-boner.
Couple small things I have found:
Hd video record is broke.
Brightness is max on each reboot.(touching brightness slider fixes)
gps wont lock until running a app from playstore(gps fix), then it locks instantly.
Looks amazing great work! For me I don't even use the spen but I am hooked on multi Window that is the only thing now that I've come to appreciate and couldn't live without. Can't wait until someone either makes an app that does it or they build it into cm or some other aosp build.

I still have to use Evervolv's vold to get it to properly mount the sdcards, pull qcom/gps from CM, and I did have to make a new omni branch of device/vigor which I just pushed to my github. Outside of those three things, everything came from the team vigor repo and straight from Omni.
Hey, think I might test this one. Can you give me a sense for battery life? Maybe similar to Evervolv?

Honestly, I don't really know. I know all the device configurations that I use specifically are the same. So unless some of the built in apps are pure battery hogs, I can't imagine it being that much worse.

Thanks... I just flashed it and I'll let you know what my experience is like. Thanks for giving us more options!
Ok, here is a report from a person running a SIM'less setup. I have data and MMS, working well. I got one freeze with the pull down shade hanging (had to do a battery pull). There is still a little oddity with the camera / gallery setup... the gallery froze up once with me and was a bit laggy at times. The camcorder did record but would not play back the video I recorded or a video I already had on the SD card from a previous recording. Oh, and the capacitive lights do not work... the buttons do, just not the lights.
Otherwise, this seems like a pretty smooth ROM and hopefully, these few oddities will be ironed out with time. Also, I love the boot animation! Thanks!!!

Hmmm... Interesting. Time to start debugging I guess.
The initial camera problems I had were all permissions issues. I'll have to take a look at all that stuff again and see if there are more.
Camera issue is fixed and I might have the capacitive lights issues sorted too. I've got to wait for the build to finish.
Edit: Capacitive button lights issue resolved. Build uploading now.
Only installed it last night, but so far so good for me. Had some troubles with getting root initially, but after installing SuperSU a few times/different ways and a couple reboots I eventually got it straightened out. I did a full wipe including int/ext sdcards and also went back to TWRP 2.6.3.0 so maybe that had something to do with the root thing?
My capacitive buttons are completely dead, they quit on me a month or so ago. So I actually prefer the lights off anyway since the buttons don't do anything. That's good news on the camera though- haven't tried the camera at all yet.
New ROM uploaded, links in OP updated.
Just flashed. Looks good, so far. One thing I do not like (and pretty much the only thing I don't like about Evervolv) is the keyboard. On every other ROM, the AOSP keyboard had all the long-press options for special characters. These ROMs do not. I tried installing the keyboard apk from another ROM and it worked fine until a reboot when it would revert back. Maybe it's a CM thing and that's why these ROMs don't have the keyboard I want. I guess I could install a keyboard from the Play Store, I just usually like to leave the keyboard alone. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Thanks. I really want to try and either enable some kind of setting or be able to install a keyboard from another ROM and have it "stick". But I will take your suggestions under advisement. :good:
Flashed and it said I have no root. Busybox errors all day long.

My bad! Looks like Omni does not include a super user app by default. They recommend SuperSU.

I'm going to look into building it in, I'll update the OP with this now.

Either I'm blind or they magically appeared. I would prefer the long-press options were different colors. Something to play with. BTW, the customization options on this ROM are awesome!

Alright guys. I have worked out the superuser issue. I'm going to sync back up with the source and rebuild. Hopefully a new build up later today depending on my work schedule.

ROM is built from current LS source and uses the CM Themes engine. I have another build using RRO Layers but frankly speaking RRO layers is sketchy at best IMHO and not yet ready for prime time without serious refinement. I built this as a hobby project because the SMT-900 has been sadly neglected by devs and because I'm a diehard LiquidSmooth fan. I hope you like it as much as I do. None of this would be possible without the time spent, hard work and dedication of the following devs:

I tried an alpha build of this about 6 months ago and I found it very impressive, notably with the built in Adiutor, with a 10% less footprint than CM. However, at the time I couldn't get my SD card to work, why I had to abandon. But, I will definitely try it now when it's up as a beta. I have really high hopes for the potential of this ROM./arc
It booted up smoothly, supersu and adiutor are pre-installed as system apps, proceeding installing Xposed and all my software (+4GB)...
Everything seems to run very smooth and the unit is very responsive. I will play around with adiutor a little, trying to find some optimal settings.
Thank you very much for bringing this up.

My fault,I had forgotten it was a system app.
Rom is working great & it's flying! So far, everything I've tried works well.
Is there a way to fix the 3 second delay when waking the device?

I was just wondering the same thing about the wake-up delay.
Also, the Kernel Adiutor seems limited to view settings, am I doing something wrong?

Kernel auditor seems to be working fine for me.
Update : I raised the minimum frequency to 300MHz & that helped the delay with waking the device.

Sure, you just click the 3 line menu in the upper left, click on CPU, & three columns will appear. Touch where it says cpu minimum frequency in the left column & all frequencies will appear. Than you click the one you want to use. I hope this is what you're looking for. If not, let me know.
Great nickster, many thanks, I will try it once I'm back on the ROM, currently I'm trying out the SlimLP. What app are you using to tweak the CPU is that one?

Hows the battery life on this? I am currently on the CM 5.1.1 and it isn't so great (since 5.1).
Also, does one need to update the firmware before proceeding? I would assume so.

I don't think it matters what firmware you're on actually. Battery life is the same as it is on cm which for me has been pretty good.

Tablet freezing
I have an app that is causing this ROM to freeze. It is Nascar's mobile Raceview app. The app is VERY graphic intensive in that it use GPS to track the position of 43 race cars on the track and display full color animation of the cars during a race. You can choose any one of the 43 cars and zoom in on its image and follow it and the cars close to it around the track. And you can also change to pont from which you are viewing the cars. Almost as if you had a drone with a tilt and zoom camera.
My question is, is there anything I can do in the settings to keep it from freezing? I've used the app on tablets with far less capacity than the Tab Pro without any problems. And i've used it with other ROMs on this tablet without problems.

bout time, was waiting for you to get this out:good:
one thing I noticed on 1st boot (screen took 15 sec to turn back on from lock screen) long delay
maybe want to attach a link to supersu for those who want root
even after flashing supersu and clocking min to min and max to max(in setcpu)
screen took 15 sec to turn back on from lock screen
min free values probably need to be adjusted?

Thanks for the comments in testing! I did a clean install verified everything worked and went back to my other rom which I prefer as my daily. I'm doing a full setup now and app install and will make a backup so I can jump back to check issues. The builtin SU works fine for me although I too prefer SuperSU Pro will check things out.

ROFLMAO!!
Lets all hope that 6.0 isn't as problematic to build for as 5.1.1 just waiting for teams to finish merging code...
Oh man, I never thought I'd see this for our device! Thank you!
The Xposed-v75-sdk22-arm was the xposed version I finally got working with this ROM.
Is there a way to turn of the lockscreen altogether inside the ROM, or am I better off finding an xposed module for this?
I find both the Slim and Liquid smooth difficult to wake up, is there a screen sensitivity setting somewhere that I missed?

Bump the minimum frequency up for the wake delay & I think you can disable lockscreen in settings/security. Actually this doesn't fix it once the device is asleep for a while. It goes back to the wake delay. I'm also seeing a small amount of lag here and there. Sometimes when I'm looking through recents, it gets a little jittery. All in all though, it's a great first release.

On this one I'm using fauxclock, but there are many great free apps in the playstore that would do the same thing. Kernel Auditor & Synapse are both free. Bumping the minimum cpu frequency will not help if the device goes back into a deep sleep though.

I'm so happy to read that another dev has found love for our Tab Pro 12.2. The wake up delay has happened to me after I have tried the Samsung 5.1 rom. Before I have been on @charggerty cm for months without the delay. When I restored back my cm backup the delay was there. Also after going back with Odin to previous Samsung stock and restored the cm backup afterwards the delay was there. Now I'm on stock rooted Samsung 5.1 because i cannot stand the delay. Could that have happened through bootloader upgrade? But i thought that Odin would flash the bootloader back?

If you upgrade to the 5.1.1 firmware, there is a delay when you hit the power button to turn the screen on after it's been sleeping for a while.

Flashed a while ago as soon as it popped up on AFH. Really liking it so far, pure AOSP with few usueful PA features like peek, immersive mode, etc. Doesn't feel bloated with customizations like other roms. Can't comment on battery life yet obviously. No crashes or bootloops in this short time, and performance is reallyyyy nice. Awesome job, really appreciate this rom.

So far so good. I've had it running for less than a day. Thanks for the hard work! I'll post if any issues arise.
A few questions:
1. Is there a way to set the power consumption?
2. Is there a way to have the screen lock not require the user to press the check mark after entering the pin at the block screen?
3. This a stupid question, I can't figure out how to add additional home screens.
Thanks!

I don't know about one and two, but power would be in the power settings, and quick unlock would be in security. You can hold down on the home to add more.
There might be something wrong with my install. I tried all your suggestions before I posted and I don't have any of those options, Including holding the home Upton for extra screens. Not sure if it's just a me thing. Thanks for responding to my post BTW.

PA probably doesn't have those features then, but the home should work. What home are you using?
First thing I notice is that the Theme Engine is not working. When I click on Themes, I get
Not a deal breaker, but not great.
A lot fewer tweaks than others, but that will be OK if it's more stable.
Would like to be able to modify the Navbar. Would like to be able to set system profiles. Nothing critical, mostly looks, but some efficiency as well.
It would also be nice to have the ability to change wallpaper without a reboot.

P.A is typically light when it comes to features, they want everything to feel like a seamless nexus experience and any features they do add its presented in a way where it feels like how Google will offer it if they ever happen to import such a thing.

I'm not saying it's broken, so hopefully I won't be ignored, but- after setting this up and getting it to look a lot like I wanted, I got a message that my phone wasn't rooted. Strange. So I flashed the SuperSU zip provided. I noted the message that it could take a while and not to interrupt the process. It's been about 45 minutes. That seems a bit long for this type of thing. I obviously haven't been able to flash the Bump script. My phone was rooted before this... any suggestions before I pull the battery? All I have now is a blank screen and blue/red flashing LED.
I was impatient. I pulled the battery. I got into recovery and flashed the Bump script. After a few more seconds of blank screen and flashing LED, I got the LG boot screen. Strange, no Android boot animation. Then right back to my normal screen like nothing happened. Everything seems to be working correctly. Yay me.

I'm glad you got it working. The bump script is essential. Systemless root modifies the boot.img and unbumps your device. It will not boot without the script.

Can you take a logcat? Also, I cant really do much in terms of features. They have all their maintainers pretty locked down.
