Hi guys,
I accidentally removed my calendar storage using titanium backups. I wonder if anyone has a backup apk backup. I really appreciate it.
Thanks

I figured it out, I removed the calendar apps and then install it with jelly bean calendar provider found here and it works like a charm. It is much more stable than the stock version. For some reasons, I kept getting calendar stopped a bunch of times daily.

Hi,
I have put the latest ICS leak on my SGS2 which funny enough I find better and more stable than the official XXLPQ.
The only things I miss are the stock ICS apps such as the ICS calendar, stock Email for Exchange, stock dialer/people apps etc ... but I also kind of like Touchwizz launcher and would like to keep it.
I have downloaded the latest gapps but is it safe to flash these over a Samsung ROM and would it bring the stock ICS apps that I am after?
I have searched on the forum and found few threads about stock apps but not really what I am after.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Anyone can help for this?
I am trying to get the Email app from the CM9 ROM installed onto my LP3 stock Samsung ICS.
I have tried to copy Email.apk and Exchange.apk to /system/app but that doesn't work, the app is not visible under settings/applications...
I would love to get the stock ICS apps (sms, contacts, email, agenda) on the Samsung ROM (LP3) which I find very stable
Hi,
I have tried the resurrection roms for the look and feel of pure ICS, but so far as business user with a need for a good email client, I must say that only the stock one, that is also in ligtning rom, has full exchange sync features.
In the one from resurrection, there is no task synchronization against the exchange server, nor can smime certificates be implemented in a proper way.
Both is possible with the stock rom email client.
Does anyone have the same experiences or knows how to install the stock email client to a resurrection rom?
Thanks a lot
Tim
if you get titanium backup and have root access you could try this,
backup the email.apk & exchange.apk from stock, then in the new rom, root uninstall email.apk and exchange.apk. then recover the other versions from titanium
OR
you could try extracting the apk's if you have a clockwork backup of the original rom, or even get a stock rom and extract it... i think theres something you have to do with permissions if you do it this way
i badly need sgs2 stock email client working on cyanogen
I just installed cyanogenmod 7.1 stable for the sgs2 first time... Its really fast n all, but it feels the the experiance i had when i first started using ubuntu in my pc. But i really love the sgs2 stock email client over anyother email client. It clould auto detect server settings if and also decide if u should use IMAP or POP, just by selecting premium account. And best of all, it had flawless pinch to zoom.. K9/gmail so far no android email client has pinch to zoom. Maybe they do but stock sgs2 email client fulfills me...
I tried using a root explorer and move the apk to system/app and then reboot. didnt work. Then i tried going to tecovery and fixing the permission. Still didnt work. What can i do? Plz help...
Hi, I'm using this ROM on my SGS2: [ROM][ICS]IMM76D 4.04 AOKP[16.04.][1080p-MP4-Stereo][FMRADIO 2nd Post][AOKP BUILD 32]
It has the standard ICS email app, which I use for my professional emails...
I've flashed around 8 different ROMS and this one has come out as the winner
Hope it helps.
Btw, Pinch 2 zoom works...
Hi All,
Sorry in advance if I have either posted this in the wrong forum or if this question has been asked many times before (I have searched the forum).
I just got a Samsung Galaxy S III on T-Mobile UK. Previously I had the Orange San Francisco with CyanogenMod, the Nexus 1 with CyanogenMod and an Archos 101G9 with stock ICS.
I rooted the device fine and then started to uninstall some apps which were pre-installed using the app removal tool within Titanium Backup. I then noticed that many of the stock android apps like calendar and email were not there. Instead, there is different email app and a calendar app called 'S Planner'.
I then installed the Omega Rom which had less apps which were pre-installed but I still had the problem were the basic google apps like email and calendar were still not there. I also noticed that the normal android sounds and keyboard were not part of this Rom.
I there a rom out there for my phone which is just basic android ICS? The less apps pre-installed, the better. Is CyanogenMod9 stable enough? The reason I like CyanogenMod is that they provide a list of the APKs which can safely be removed.
Thanks,
Dan
What about the blackstar aosp rom?

Wanam has stock deodexed rom posted .

Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Decrapifying my i717 after the Offical update, decided after I got all the full apps out to nuke the useless Widgets... DOH! Accidentally nuked the Clock!
Any chance someone running the JB Official (Odexed, not a Deodexed ROM) release can grab the clock apk and odex file for me, or even better yet if you have already rooted and have TiBu, grab a backup for me to recover from!
Thanks!
EDIT: And Allshare Play... damn app scroll list reset!
hi im looking to see if anyone has the CM gallery dialer messenger contacts calendar and clock to flash or APKs?
They all should be avail in the CM rom. Should be able to unzip it and get whatever apk's you want
