Download gapps if you want google apps. Rom is the other file. Flash rom, flash gapps, reboot. After wiping of course.
Smooth ROM. Works great with PA nano Gapps aswell.
No bloatware for me, ty.
Will write a full report later after letting it stabilize for a week or so.

Hi,
Are you tired of your current ROM that has limited features? Are looking for one that you want to customize by yourself? Well here's the ROM for you. Have a minute to read and hopefully you'll be encouraged to test it.
This is The GN0M3 Project. This ROM has no customizations whatsoever. You will be the one to customize this, It's a fast clean stock ROM with under the hood speed enhancements and some personal tweaks. You would need to install GApps for both builds. With this ROM, you will have a Fast, Clean, Stock experience.
Why did I say "You'll be the one to customize it?"
Well, It's because I already integrated the Xposed framework into the ROM settings. And If you're going to ask me "Why no customizations and why with the Xposed framework only?" It's because some of the famous features of some Custom ROMs are already in one of the Xposed Modules, you just need to find them.
Anyways, this ROM will stay stock and only speed enhancements will be implemented, and also I will just focus on stability and such. The customizations you would want will be in one of the Xposed Modules. I'll just give you a stock, clean, snappy ROM and it's up to you to customize it.
Off topic is welcome in this thread as long as you RESPECT each other.
In a nut shell: "This is the do it yourself customization ROM"
To know more about Xposed Framework. Go here: CLICK ME!!! or HERE!!!
For people wondering whats the story behind this ROM is, here's a brief explanation:
I built this ROM based on Google's concept of Android of letting end users customize Android as the way that they want to. And yes we all did a lot of that since Custom ROM's appeared in different ways. But, some of them only have limited features that other end users doesn't really use them. So that brought up the idea to make a ROM that incorporates Google's concept of putting the customization into the end users hands. So in a nut shell this ROM will give you the ability to customize it whatever you want to do with it, and thanks to the Xposed Framework app, it is possible now. But of course not all features of other custom ROM's are already in some xposed modules, but as development grows it's not impossible to have them in some modules. Well, that's about it, hope people would now understand why I built this for the community.
Cheers and Happy Customizing!

Sm 4.9 toolchain
For People who wants to work on their ROM to build it with SM 4.9, I'll be uploading all my file changes to my git. There's a lot so you really need patience with this. For CM 10.2 you can check @IAmTheOneTheyCallNeo's Git to get the commits for SM Toolchain to work. I got the Idea from there and modified some to make it work on AOSP. Went through trial and errors but its part of it. Anyways, just check out my git.
How to get Toolchain
Sabermod 4.9 Toolchain
Code:
mkdir arm-linux-androideabi-4.9
cd arm-linux-androideabi-4.9
git clone https://github.com/SaberMod/android_prebuilts_gcc_linux-x86_arm_sabermod-arm-linux-androideabi-4.9
Then after cloning, copy the directory to your $ source/prebuilts/gcc/linux-x86/arm/ Folder, Then after that the modifications and patching begins.

Is there some sort of thread that compiles alll these different version names in order of release? I've looked around but all these JLS, JSS etc. are confusing.
Also, wasn't the previous Gn0m3 version on JSS15R? Anything different with these updates and with SM 4.9.0?

I updated it to JLS36G since it's the newer revision, and this current build is built with the SM 4.9 Toolchain, the previous one is GCC 4.8, SM Toolchain has a lot of tweaks and patches that make it perform better. JLS36G is pure AOSP and JWR66Y is a modified stock version for people who does'nt want the deadlocks. Don't have time to merge both builds yet since I had a lot of time making SM 4.9 to work(A lot of patches to be applied). Hope that answers your question
Good job :good:

About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our G+ Community: http://community.carbon-rom.com This is where we spend the bulk of our time and the best way to reach us and other community members. We update and frequent this community far more than XDA, simply due to time constraints and the convenience of G+.
5) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Please note : post your questions about the rom in the q and a thread.. Don't clutter the discussion thread with questions like "What is working and whats not?", "How is batttery?", etc.. I will straight away ignore it.. As it is already mentioned it is still BETA and I'll need your help to make this perfect.. All questions will go in respective thread, all bug reports will go in the respective section and if you have solution to bugs then post in discussion thread.. I don't want posts saying "Gona try this rom soon " , "I am very excited about this", etc.. I know but with all due respect I am saying this.. Otherwise this doesn't fulfill the purpose of creating a DevDb thread..
I hope I am clear enough and I look forward for your support in making this a perfect ROM for Neo V..
Thanks,,..

Not only on 3g. I'm on 2g and it just went all the way down on standby. But you can't expect much from an early build. I'm sure future builds will definitely be more stable and great for daily use. The features are about the same as BeanStalk, but i like the feel of Carbon. The phone also slows down abit. Other than that, great rom.
wifi-hotspot
my Wi-Fi hotspot not working.. any fix for that?? let me know ASAP.
same Wi-Fi hotspot not working... and after installing rom some hrs letter .
touch problem trying to click some app and its open other app. same in setting ...

Welcome to Eos! The Eos project originated with the AOSP release of ICS, and was originally founded by Solarnz and co founded by Bigrushdog. Since then, Eos has evolved into a multinational collaborative effort backed by top Android developers. Our objective is to provide a world class AOSP build with unique features and enhancements. Eos is an ongoing development project in which builds are released on a regular basis. Every release should be considered stable and highly functional.
Bigrushdog - Project lead, Chief Developer [Xoom || Galaxy Nexus || HTC One (M7)]
RaymanFX - Co-leader, AOSP code maintainer [Xperia S || Nexus 7 (2013) || OPPO N1 || OPPO Find7a]
jrior001 - Jenkins/Gerrit Admin, CAF code maintainer [HTC One X]
anders3408 - Frameworks Developer [OPPO Find5 || OPPO N1]
Roach - Frameworks Developer [Nexus 4 || Nexus 7 (2013) || HTC One (M8)]
Connor Baker [Nexus 4 || HP Touchpad]
Code:

EOS Weather Engine
Custom Quick Toggles Tiles with Brightness & Volume Seekbars
Softkeys Long-Press Actions
Network Indicator
Battery Indicator Mods

We give love and much respect to Cyanogenmod. The AOSP scene would not exist as it does today without them. We implement some of their branches to support legacy devices and features that users have demanded.

first one is mine!
Test and feedback please
Rock stable for weeks now and I can't get mine to crash or anything, all the recent kernel updates I applied also seem to play nicely.
Awesome that EOS is back, had it on my Xoom for years.
Does the kernel have the kexec patch in place for use with multirom?

Argh, shame on me for forgetting about that one!
I'll intergate is as soon as possible.
If you're feeling generous, you can always submit the patchset at review.teameos.org though
Thanks Team EOS and RaymanFX!!!
Will try it after work... =)
Glad to see eos again, had it on my dad's Xoom for the longest time, always was super solid with some unique features, gotta try this soon

Important updates for the next nightlies:
1) Multiboot kexec-hardboot patch as requested by @matt4321
2) Linux 3.4.91

Installed this on my tablet last night.
So far, so good. Really like it.

Yay! Really like this news. I notice there is a nexus 5 build as well. Will there be a forum for that device? Going to install on my nexus 7 today. Used this on the Xoom until it de-xoomed
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I'm still rocking an EOS build on my Xoom and it is now running great on my Nexus 7. I have all the OG Tiamat backgrounds in rotation on my Nexus 7 and M7. I missed you guys...

Welcome back
Nice to see the EOS name back :good: - loved it on my 2012 Nexus 7, so I'll give it a whirl on the 2013 model
Wow, great to the teameos name here. Thumbs up!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Installed and running nice, using elemental kernel as it compliments my HTC M8 running elemental kernel, heh heh
But the ROM is running nicely! The options seem to be nice, I don't think I saw a "date in status bar" option but I did install this at 1am so went to bed quickly. Morning is crazy here, our kids run crazy for ages *cough*
Sent from my AOSP on Flo using Tapatalk
Them newz!
In the next nightly, you'll get full sweep2wake and doubletap2wake support in the kernel thanks to @show-p1984 !
I cherry-picked the corresponding commits into the EOS kernel because I liked those.
Keep in mind they don't drain your battery at all, or at least not more than the kernel did before thanks to the usage of IRQs.
s2w and dt2w are disabled by default not to confuse new EOS users.
However, I put together a nifty little device settings app that will let you toggle those two features easily:
https://github.com/TeamEOS/device_asus_flo/commit/6090f9a064c456b8e24667fd12a587529d856cf2
To access it, head over to Settings->Device->More... and there you are
Keep in mind all this will be available in the next nightly build, so stay tuned and watch the status: http://jenkins.teameos.org/
Also, for some reason, haters or 'trolls' seem to have voted this thread 1 star.
Due to the lack of negative criticism in this thread, I think the 'stars' should actually reflect the user's opinion of this ROM.
So if you like EOS on your device, please spend that one second it takes you to vote this thread 5 stars. Thanks!
Hi, I haven't read the thread to double check, took our kids to the zoo today, 9 hour day, drained. Anyway, found out the hard way that GPS doesn't seem to work at all. The app, sygic showed no satellite coverage bars at all whilst my phone running same app +map showed bars and worked as expected. The app on the n7 was sitting at "waiting for coverage" type error message.
Sorry if this is a known problem, I'll re read this thread tomorrow. Severe chronic pain, 2 crazy active kids and 4 hours driving plus zoo adventure = one tired me, body and mind!
Thanks for putting teameos available again

Anyone running this on a DEB model with MultiROM installed?
I have tried 3 different nightlies and it will not boot, just curious if any has had luck with this configuration.
For whoever is wondering, the new nightly (6/20) is based off of 4.4.4 , because we all crave the latest and greatest...

Except, deb version doesn't boot..
I am loving the NX Gesture Bar but this ROM is missing a lot even compared to AOSPA. No floating notifications like Hover or Heads Up, no global immersive mode, doesn't have the new theme engine, and quite a lot more...

Wow! It's awesome you guys are back!! I really loved your roms on my good old Moto xoom!
Just a few questions before flashing this awesome rom tonight on my Flo, the link to the gapps from the OP is not showing anything, is there any other gapps package that you recommend? And the last one... Are you going to implement theme engine on your rom?
Thanks a lot for your hard work and for coming back!! ???

Welcome to Exodus for Shamu.
To answer first question before it comes up:
Yes, we are working on 5.1 version but it is a big change so we will still need some days
Submitting a bug: 90% of bug reports lack the vital information required for a fix.
- Device? Use the call sign, JFLTE is your GS4, etc
- What nightly are you on?
- Clean or Dirty flash?
- Custom kernel?
- When did it start?
- Brief description
- Steps to replicate
- Log? Post it on pastebin.com or a similar NO LOGIN NEEDED, plain text website. We will NOT sign up for anything to read your log!
2) Logcat,... umm what's that?
http://www.vanir.co/word/diy/capturing-a-logcat/
If you can root your phone, then you can grab a high quality log. Short and sweet logs are better than long ones. If you search the log and do not see the words fatal or error then you missed the problem.

Good news
Welcome @Martin_Ro thanks for sharing this ROM with the Nexus 6 community. :good:
We build this for quite some time but never got a maintainer for it or better say the maintainer we found never had time (real life first) to maintain a thread.
Now I got a Shamu myself so I can support it now first hand and so it was time for a thread :highfive:

So is this CM derivative ROM?
Yes, we use cm as a base and added some stuff on it (featurewise but also optimizations).
nice to see martin and dave here, exodus is hands down the fastest rom available
Been on Vanir since the beginning and followed Dave over to Exodus. Most optimized efficient rom hands down. Looking forward to see where the team takes it. Thanks.
Flashed this. Have a quick question lol. When I pull down the notification bar...... Nothing shows except brightness bar? Is this normal or is some botched? After installing and starting it up it told me there was another update but I DL the latest from the op.... Just wondering... O and dh whatever gapps option in the updater menu fc's
Waching this based on the comments alone - a few of the users who have posted pretty strongly worded statements are not typically ones I find to exaggerate or not know their stuff.
Delete didn't read.
Can't wait for 5.1 excited for this. Just Dont have time to downgrade bootloader and radio ATM why I'll postpone the flashing. But def excited

Thanks for the feedback. Regarding notification drawer: looks normal for me, the usual tikes. You can configure them via settings->Interface->notification drawer->quick settings tile.
The update stuff is an issue we know about and have to check it...
Regarding gapps link. Do you maybe have no browser installed ?

I feel like an idiot about the gapps lmao. But the notification drawer wouldn't appear till I went into the tile section then just exited out. Then they showed up. Weird but everything else is running smooth as butter. Thank you guys for such a great ROM. Hopefully 5.1 is just as great
Does anyone know we're I can get the 5.0.2 bootloader/radio to flash? Or a link that would be awesome

If you're on 5.1 flashing that bootloader won't work and if it does will result in a bricked device. As stated above, 5.0.x roms work fine on 5.1 radios/bootloader.

I was on validus room v7.0 5.0.2 I really like elemental X kernel but it will not load for me it probably doesn't have anything to do with me being on 5.0.2 and 5.1 radio/BL but before I flashed the 5.1 Firmware Ex worked great! I can't figure out why ElementalX won't boot up.
Nice can't wait when you guys update to 5.1 I miss your Rom! Especially your Nav Bar. Don't understand why other Roms don't implement your Nav Bar.

As always, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device due to custom rom / kernel flashing & other lovely things that you do with it
It is expected of you to know what you are doing.
We intend this to be a friendly, learning thread.
Requests, Suggestions & feedback are always welcome.
Team Twisted would like to bring to you - Twisted Android Project
This has been a serious learning experience for all of us involved as well as a super fun trip
We totally enjoyed making this, and hope you like it as well.
We would first and foremost like to Thank all our friends., There are many, many devs here on XDA who have been patient with us and have always been there to lend a helping hand. It would be impossible to name all of you, but if we have spoken to you even once, we are deeply grateful for what you have done.
Something that may seem very simple to one person, would have probably helped us get out of a hole that we were stuck in for days
Help has been invaluable, we will not forget it!
Special thanks to our awesome Testers.Their constant support on a minute to minute basis has been incredible and invaluable There have been days of flashing 12-15 different builds in a session, and all of you have been so helpful, patient, and so much fun to be around, it made doing this a huge pleasure. Unknown usernames online have become good friends, and this is by far the best outcome of this project.
Thanks to all the folks over at the Slim Builder’s Collective, where all of this began
We would like to note that we do not take credit for any of the code for any of the features we have included. All thanks goes to the super awesome, and highly talented devs and teams. We have tried as far as possible to maintain credits in our GIT commit pages, but if in any instance during conflict resolution, or when we commit using SmartGit, the original author’s name has been obfuscated, please accept our apologies, do bring it to our attention, we will correct the oversight immediately. We are extremely thankful to all the coders out there who put out amazing new features, patches and updates that makes the Android experience a lot more brilliant…
This is our small contribution back to the community that taught us everything :good:
Thanks to SlimRoms, CM, OptiPop, Layers Team & many of the other open source projects out there.

Coming from stock or another ROM:
Factory Reset
Full wdata, wipe: system, cache, dalvik cache.
Flash latest firmwares if you haven't flash it yet.
Flash the Twisted build.
Flash gapps
DO NOT Flash latest SuperSU
Coming from previous Twisted build:
Flash the Twisted build.
No need to wipe dalvik-cache.
Layers Backup app in twisted apps allows you to retain the set layers after a dirty flash. We recognise the fact that there is a similar feature within Layers Manager, however there is a major difference.
You set all the layers you want, click on the backup & let it do it’s work. After you do a dirty flash, the ROM boots with your layers pre-installed. No need of a reboot.
If you are facing issues with the power button not responding, got to Display, check ‘Prevent accidental wake up’. Then switch it off again. Reboot.
Flashing SUperSU during ROM flash may result in losing Advanced Power Menu
No reason for xposed not to work on twisted. But if any issues, we may not be able to support them
