Hello!
I have 3 Samsung devices: GT-I9000, GT-I9100, GT-I9505.
All devices are paired with my car via Bluetooth.
I can use all devices to make phone call and to play music.
However, with the device GT-I9100 the media data is not displayed in the car audio device but with the other devices this works.
My conclusion is that the root cause must be related to the GT-I9100 and not related to the car BT device.
So, the question is:
What is causing the failure of transmitting music data from GT-I9100 to car audio device?
To be fair, I would only compare the GT-I9100 with the older device GT-I9000.
All BT settings are identical.
All ROMs are identical (CM11 M9).
Is there a specific BT modul used in GT-I9100 that cannot work?
Means, is the hardware different compared to GT-I9000?
Or is a different BT driver used?

Hello, I just bought a Xperia S and I did not reach in connection it to my Built-in bluetooth system (a parrot built-in kit in a Citroen). The pjone can see the system but I'm not able to make the system pairing.
I already had difficulties in the past with an X10 but it was linked to Android 1.6 and with my Samsung Galaxy S2 under Cyanogen7. I have no issue to conenct with Nokia E6, iPhone 4 or Android 2.3.X smartphones (Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire,...).
I think that it could come from the BT stack used by Sony or from their Android adaptation and I don't think I would be able to pair the system till an update could be released or perhaps with ICS.
Does somebody has the same difficulty or a solution ?
Best regards
Try to reset the bluetooth in your car.
Sent from my Sony Xperia S-LT26i
I had the same issue with my bluetooth IO player.First time when I added it after that it would not connect. Turned bluetooth off and on and automatically connected. Might be worth restarting your phone. If the phone can add it then it should be able to connect to it.
Hello, I do,'t know where to reset my car BT as it is a built-in. One solution could be to remove the fuse....
It is not a question of connexion as I'm not able to pair the BT device and the Xperia.
I have no issue with all the other phones !!!
I have a 2009 Ford Mondeo and my Xperia S paired with the integrated bluetooth unit without any issues. Can browse phone book and call log without any issues and obviously make/receive calls.
Hi Guys,
Im having a real bluetooth issue with my SXS and Merc...I can connect and pair fine, however randomly the phone keeps disconnecting.. ive had this working fine with a Iphone4s and lumia 800 so i dont think its the MB side of things...can anyone shed some light on this?
Bluetooth audio is becoming a more prevalent option with television now. More TVs have Bluetooth capabilities and more soundbar and other audio have Bluetooth reception to allow them to play audio from cellphones and other devices.
I would like to have audio from my Google TV broadcast by Bluetooth for wireless listening. My TV does not have BT, but I have found a TOSLINK to BT device which is even powered by the USB port on the TV. The TOSBlue II can be found at telme2.com. So the audio broadcasting component of the problem is essentially solved.
The problem that remains is on the revieving end. Rather than spend $$$ on a nice set of BT headphones and have them occupying space and worring about them being charged, I would like to use my android phone which already has some fairly sophisticated audio capabilities and is always with me and charged. Even with earbuds it would allow the mobility of wireless headphones. I currently have the Galaxy Note II with Jelly Bean, but think this should be doable with any fairly current android device, even a tablet or other non-phone.
So far, I have not been able to find a solution for the phone which will play BT audio broadcast from another source. An acceptable solution would accomplish this for my phone, and Android Tablet, or an iPod Touch 3g (which I also have).
Has anyone ever accomplished this? Does anyone know of an app or mod that allows this?
Thanks for any help.
Hi. I have a Galaxy S Wifi 3.6 (EU edition of Galaxy Player 3.6 - YP-GS1). I'm trying to stream audio to my Car Stereo (built-in Ford Fiesta audio). I have been able to pair my Galaxy to the Ford Audio bluetooth receiver doing this :
Enable BT discovery on my Galaxy
Search for devices
My Car Stereo gave me a pin and i entered it in my Galaxy
Now, i see a BT device named "Ford Audio" on the BT settings page, but it does show a phone icon. I don't know if this is right or not, as i don't have any other BT receiver to test. It shows as "paired" (even when i'm far from my car), but i havn't been able to get the Music from my Galaxy to the Car Stereo via A2DP so far.
I have installed a few different widgets from Google Play to control BT but no matter what Widget i try, i can't get the status to "connected" (for those Widgets that actually show a status). Also, when i try to use the menu of my Car Stereo, i can't see my Galaxy in the connected BT devices, whether i look into Phones or Audio / Bluetooth.
I guess i messed something up, but when searching on the net how to do this, it's always very simple : enable BT discovery, search and enter the PIN (which is exactly what i did). Then everything will work fine (actually, nothing works at al l )
EDIT : I should probably add i have Androïd 2.3.6 stock rom (non rooted). Version n° is GINGERBREAD.XXLD1.
Hi guys, so I have a Chinese made android deck running 4.1.2 with I guess is a custom rom from their factory. It works pretty well but they have locked the bluetooth function to only allow incoming inconnections (meaning only my phone can connect to the device). I have an OBD bluetooth transmitter that I would like to connect to the device but the "bluetooth" options menu in settings is hidden. I don't see any reason why my bluetooth OBD can't connect with the deck seeing it connects to my phone fine. Are there any workaround/apps/xposed modules that will allow me to accomplish this?
Let me know if the explanation is not clear. Thanks in advance!
I'm looking for the answer to this also... I tried looking for a bluetooth connection app with no luck. My tocado android double din is running kit kat 4.2.2 and I assume they only allow bluetooth connections for audio and only want you to buy their obd 2 device. I can go into the device settings in the torque app and see my phone and other bluetooth devices but somehow my obd device isn't reckognized... it seems they are blacklisted somehow. Has anyone tried a wifi or usb bluetooth obd2 device? Maybe that will work?
Hi everybody,
I wonder whether it is possible to use my old I9100 as a bluetooth car-kit. I have already connected the speaker plug of the phone with the aux-in of the radio using a 3,5mm jack cable. I am trying to connect the recent phone via bluetooth - unfortunately after pairing the two devices the popup to select "telephone-audio" or "media-audio" will apperently not occur.
Is there any way (e.g. using a certain app or or custom ROM) to emulate a "real" car-kit? I am currently on 4.1 DBT Stock. But it would be no problem to switch to CM or comparable if a custom ROM will offer the ability.
Thanks in advance
HiHiMan
Try slimSaber, go for the last build, flash rom and gapps, arm=>4.4=>pico package. worked for me on an asus X501U, it has bluetooth audio.
Hi ultravy,
unfortunately slimsaber offers only "media audio". To connect the recent S5 in order to use the SII as a "BT speaker" the other option "telephone-audio" is needed.
I was also not able to stream music from the S5 to the SII, although "media-audio" was ticked.
Any other ideas?
I also tried CM11 which offers also the media audio option - but also no "telephone audio". Is there any app to use the SII as SAP /rSAP receiver?
...digging out as I am still looking for a solution
Does anybody have an idea how to pair my current phone via bluetooth and activate "telephone mode" on my I9100?
Is there any chance to enable A2DP to act as a bluetooth sink??
