Hey guys
My phone's battery just increased 1% after i took it out of charging and used it for couple of minutes.
It was 93% when i took it out of charging and used it for like 3-5mins.. instead of dropping it increased to 94% LOL
See the screenshot taken of battery monitor widget..
The green indicator on the left mentions charging while yellow is for usage discharging.. you can see the battery increase LOL

what do you mean? maximum standby time or usage? is it the milivolt? please elaborate
Around 1½ day i believe. But normally ill charge it at night where it has around 20-30% left
edit:
Usage: Music(+DSP), SMS, a few calls, Web browsing (2G/3G/Wifi). Dont really play any games but I do watch musicvideos sometimes which is takes around 15minutes.

My battery life is ATROCIOUS. I can get about 5-6 hours solid use and then it's game over. Granted though, I use the market and web browser all the time and my CPU is consistently sitting at 902mhz (performance) =S

Lmfao yeah that happens. But you can get Power Saver form the market. It really works. What it does is clock down the processor depending on what profile you set the app to.
Even though, today I haven't used the phone much and it's been discharging from 16 hrs and it's still at 60% (with Power Saver turned off). I've only used it for light texting today and that's it. 3G is what sucks the battery dry. Sometimes I use Edge only (2G) and the battery lasts me a whole day and more. The other day it lasted me a whole 24 hrs and it was still at about 19% left. I'm guessing the battery can last long or short depending on the usage.

But he didn't use it. Still it's a big drain at around 1%/1.5h, comparing with the x10 mini pro with 970 mAh battery which drains at 1%/3.5h....
Cyanogenmod for ace isn't that optimized for battery life.

With Juggernaut Rom, brightness turned down and web/wifi off I can literally get like 3 days almost if I'm not texting heavily. As soon as I turn internet on I'd say a max of 12 hours. The best battery life I ever got out of it was BeastMod, CPU underlocked to just 1ghz and brightness turned down. Even with web on, still got me almost 2 days - sync off.

MY TENTH POST. Been using this forum for years, and just never registered or had any questions. I CAN FINALLY ASK QUESTIONS IN DEVELOPMENT NOW. even though I don't have any currently
Ok, after I rooted I seem to be having a strange. Battery issue .. anyone have a fix for this? (I user antutu to control CPU and for now I'm busting using it to monitor+ dropped my phone iinto eco mode ( where it usually is) I can counter bat loss by doing the normal stuff but I never had to do.anything other then turn off data before... and even then... but from 10:50 pm to 2:40 am the phone went from 90% to 12% . And that was ..( eco was off) lol ... but I have never had that happen. Before even with that.
Thanks for any advice

75% it was on the whole time...even though screen was off....
This is the screenshot its a straight drop over the hours mentioned ... slope stays steady so its Constant power drain until I noticed ( you can see on the graph)
None of those apps were open, and I had done a restart right before. ( I fell asleep which is why I know I wasn't using it)

On top of the screen i see the skype is running in backgroud..
Just sign out from skype and also close wifi..
Try it bcz to know the exact battery issue trial and error method of clossing apps is best.

Skype and Words with Friends destroy battery life if you don't completely kill them. Show us the top of your usage stats, not the graph.

+1. Or show both. Apps that stay on data/wifi will murder battery, even on eco mode.

Right after I rooted mine I had terrible battery as well. I ended up reformatting (not wipe, actually formatting my system and caches) and then installed my rom again, fixed permissions and my battery life has been amazing. If I don't use the phone my battery maybe drains five percent all day long. If I use it a lot it will last most of the day as well.

The other thing you should check is you fast dormancy.
If you're flashing custom ROMs it's best to do it at a FULL 100% charge. In the past, before I started doing this, I had major battery life "problems." My phone would drop from 100 to 1 in a matter of hours and just hang on 1% for hours on end. If you haven't done this, download Battery Calibration, turn off your device and plug it in. Once it reaches 100%, turn the device on, run the app, and restart your device WHILE STILL PLUGGED IN. Once everything settles you should be good to go.

I think its alright! Yup its little slow but its fine! When I was having a stock S3, it used to take 2 + hrs for complete charging (0%-100%)
If you are not satisfied then you can change your charger!
Or if you are are rooted user then u can try by changing charging settings in your kernel(only if u have a custom kernel)!
Press thanks if it helped you! :silly:
Yea, no need to panic. Same here.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
You could use a custom kernel modifing the charge settings but BE CAREFUL, could be dangerous for your battery if you will exaggerate
The older your battery is then the smaller it's capacity and the quicker it will charge. A brand new battery should take around 4 hours to charge, so your battery has lost 40% of it's original capacity -assuming your charger and internal charging circuit of the phone remain to spec.
I had a problem with my s3 // The charging issue and when battery run down below 20% der is flickering+drain+network cuttoff+and sometimes shows battery is fully charged and I finally I end up in service centre they said they replced charging port and battery plus fixed a short.now things are fine but I am still hving a new trouble that sometimes charger indicator run down wrong, like it's switches from 38%-50% when I just got my charger pluged in ewhhf! I search through forums used battery repair, calibrator, juice defender and done couple of factory resets but still the same help me up please

Install betterbatterystats, check to see how your battery is being used, there are times when faulty rom or apps might cause things like this.

I was using my phone today while it was charging, I noticed for a while that my battery was about 70%, after a couple of minutes, when the battery it told me fully charged
I think that this occurs commonly as I had experienced very quick charges sometimes.
Secondly, I also face battery drops, like it drops usually from 60% to 40%, I rarely saw it in 50%'s.
What is going wrong? D':
