Constant contact and com.phone fc - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi,
i am getting feed up with my z2
regardless of the rom i use, regardless of the version i use, i am constantly gettinfc when i try to call, i get a message saying com.phone.blabla got unexpected error, it turn off the radio, no more signal, then it come back, and then i get a message saying that contact closed.
then i retry and i can call.
i got this on all the past rom version.
so the questions are simple:
do you face the same issue?
in case it s a third party app that generate the issue, how can i find it?
what other alternative app could i use if standard phone and contact apk bugg.
i really hope you have some answers.

1. Have you tried going into setting and clearing the data for that spesific app?
2. If that doesnt work try repairing device via sony pc companion

Hi, no cavhe really.
If i repair, i loose root?
How come i get the bug on all roms versions?

you lose root but it will repair your problem
and the bug will persist across all roms because its a userdata bug., not the app its seld

When you use an app and change settings or info the app stores your "user data", sometimes user data can corrupt and cause the app to crash because its unable to interprate the corrupted information (for example)
Just wipe data and cache
Settings>app>conversations/phone/etc>clear data
Or
Repair via sony pc companion>support zone
These two methods should work

weird message has no cache, 12kb wich is equal to empty, hummmm
i ve installed contact+ cause that was getting very annoying

having problem with gmail account sign in:(

last night i updated my X10 but from then i can`t sign in to my gmail account with gmail app
it says:ca`t establish a reliable data connection to the server.
this could be temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data service.if it continues,call customer care.
what should i do?

Then is the connection problem.. can you go to web?

it just have problem with google app like google talk,gmail,picasa,market....

What ROM are you using?
If is 2.2.1 reinstall GAPPS.
no.official 2.1
Try flashing gapps via xRecovery, maybe helps.

Android Market showing "You don't have any devices."

I've searched the forum and couldn't find any thread related to my problem.
Problem:​Android market says "You don't have any devices." but i have installed 100s of apps from 'Market app' on the phone,
I am logging in with same google account.
Is there any solution for my problem.? Is anyone else facing the same..
One more thing, ' Market App' on my phone, it is working very slow. i have fast internet connection (Wi-fi) even than it take 5-7 minutes for 'searching' and 'Loading'. Is it normal?
P.S. My device is new, nothing is rooted or changed. Its right out of the box as samsung build it.

I'm not sure if this will help but have you tried going to settings- applications - manage applications - all tab- market- uninstall updates.
Might be worth a try for a start.
There no option of " Uninstall Updates" in 'all tab- market-'
Its new phone, I`m facing this problem since DAY-1,
Any expert on XDA can help me here..
Will rooting my device help? Or ROM change?

Rooting will make no difference. I'm not really sure why you are having this problem. Maybe somebody else may have some ideas.
You could try downloading the new market. Google market v3.1.3 and install that.
If you are still unable to solve the problem you could try the reset code in phone dialer *2767*3855#
This will totally reset your phone to factory settings as a last resort.
I've installed Market 3.1.3 as u said, but now, nothing is loading up in market, and after 1-2 mins it says, "Connection time up" [retry]. Internet is working fine on other apps, like stock browser or YouTube.
I uninstalled the new market app.
Back to ground ZERO.

In phone dialer. However this will reset your phone and delete everything.
I know this will be useless, cos, when i just bought the device and faced the problem i did reset to factory setting by *2767*3855# , and nothing happens...

Ah ok sorry I can't help.

very annoying since I love installing apps through the market web site.
anyway we can still download and install apps directly with the market App

Hi this is something to do with google services framework.
Yesterday I have tried clearing this data related to google services framework..to get 4.0.4 update but..nothing worked and I am ended up with your issue. May be updating phone software may solve the problem.
I can't believe there is still no solution for this problem....

Yes, this has been troublesome lately. However, it gets resolved automatically.
Jus delete the new market an let auto update yake place.

m also facing same issue just flashed new rom([ROM] CM7.2-RC3-APOCALYPSE [17.06.12] [FireKernel OC]) followed all steps well [flashed many roms lately ,but never came across this 1 ]
1.i can access play store from my phone ,butcant update any app
2.i cant install apps remotely ie from my computer it says "You don't have any devices."
as this is custom rom i really dnt know how 2 fix this issue of removing market.apk and replacing it with working apk..
can any1 help me on this issue
This happened to me after installing a secondary rom. Afterwards my primary ROM started showing me this when trying to install from play.google.com
Did a full wipe, installed just the primary and everything was working fine again.

Try logging into Google Dashboard. You don't have to do anything else, merely logging into Dashboard solved my problem!

I just flashed a new version of a ROM (on Galaxy III) but I got the no device message from my PC. I tried to clear data for Framework services and Play store no luck. Tried this suggestion and it worked right away! Thanks!

[PROBLEM] Messages FC!

Hi everyone!
I have one big problem in my SIII, i have stock rom, but my Message app give me FC's.
I try to do a Factory reset ( 10 times or more ), not solved.
I have download the firmware from samsung and flash via ODIN and not solved.

Are you talking about the SMS app or the Email app?
If SMS; please try if the app 'Go SMS' (it's free) works.

I'm talking about SMS app..
but, why not working original apk from samsung?
The reason I ask to install Go SMS is to see if the app is having issues or if the underlying system libraries and/or database have issues.
Today morning, this has started with me as well...After installing CM10 and going back to Stock ... Wiped still not working ...dont know whats wrong !!!

Running Helly_bean_i9100 latest build.
I installed whatsapp but it has been stuck at initializing forever. I have tried deleting it and installing a previous version, but it does not work too. I really need help!

I got HTC One X and just flashed a couple of custom ROMs and found the same thing. I few other guys also experiencing it. We think it must be a whatsapp thing and are hoping it will resolve itself in time!

if this problem persists and u need whatsapp do as following:
1- install whatsapp version 2.8 and enter ur cell number..of course it will fail to initialize
2- don't delete whatsapp just replace it with the newer version
this will give u access to chats but you'll have no contacts so they have to talk to you first
it's a half solution but better than nothing
P.S: 2.8 is available on any file sharing websites just google it

I just waited for a day and tried again and it got fixed!
I think the problem was at whatsapp's side!

Download whatsapp pk from http://www.whatsapp.com/android/
Keep whatsapp preinstalled from playstore. Now install the apk and replace the application. And here you go, whatsapp is working for you.:good:

i want to delete my whatsapp without deactivating my account and register with new number so i get a new account
i think it is possible when i do a hard rest....but i'm wondering if there is any other way without doing a hard rest?

It should be possible when you'll reinstall the app and change your SIM card to have new number
