[Q] bootloop, no recovery, random "offline charging" message... what happened?
Hello,
I have a 1-month old Moto E, still unrooted, locked etc.
Suddenly a couple of days ago it turned off, at the moment I could not turn it on - after many attempts, I made it and battery was to almost 0... then I switched off, and on again, and it was back at 51%. Then in the evening it turned off again and since then I cannot turn it on.
If (and only IF) I plug the charger, it turn on and goes boot loop with a led flash before rebooting - I can access fast boot with simply pressing volume down during boot attempts, but then, whatever option I choose (with volume up) it just goes boot loop again. If I try to long press Power, nothing happens. If I try long pressing Power + Volume Up + Volume Down, sometimes I have the "offline charging" screen (power plug with arrow out and power chord).
When I access fast boot sometimes it says BATTERY OK, sometimes it says BATTERY LOW... always with charger plugged.
I managed once to get to BP Tools and do some diagnostics (no errors found) and just once I made it to recovery: it had a message "no command", then it rebooted and then the phone worked ok until I turned it off.
When I turned it back this morning... boot loop again.
I do not know what to do, I wouldn't like to unlock and loose warranty (it's 1 month old!) and I cannot give it to service until monday... any hint meanwhile?
Thanks
It looks that you have encountered a battery problem. I think you have to send in the device for repair.

So I rooted my phone 3 months ago. Using the external 64g card trick and everything went perfect.
Had SU installed, and titanium running.
January 1st my phone battery died while riding home on my motorcycle or was close. I had it on the charger when it died. The phone went into a reboot mode. It has the battery, with the circle in the middle and vibrating every few seconds.
I can get into the recover mode when plugged into the samsung wall charger. But I can only get into download mode on usb with computer.
Using odin 3 v3.09.
I loaded it up with the jflte_usa_vzw_16g.pit file in the pit section.
Then loaded up all_i545vruemk2_i545vzwemk2_1937946_rev06_user_low_ship_muti_cer.tar.md5 in the AP section
Thinking the above would be the most up to date. I'm traveling and need the phone and not worried about root anymore.
So it went through the md5 checking. Good
Then without changing any other settings I hit start.
13 minutes later, I get a reset above the id:com
I let it go with out touching the phone.
Then it gives me a pass without any errors.
So I unplugged my phone off the usb cable, pull the battery. Reinstall after 30 seconds. Nothing.
I plug into the usb and it goes back to battery icon and circle like nothing happened.
I can get into download on usb to computer
And recovery only on wall charger
I did try a factory reset and cache reset
Looked like it worked
But phone unchanged.
I then tried the kies firmware and initialization mode.
Loaded up my sch-i545 then my IMEI,
It conects, downloads, installs, finishes, no errors
Unplug and dead, plug in usb, battery icon and circle,
Plug to wall, recover mode,
So phone seems like its taken both updates without errors. But acts unchanged.
Would the vibration from my handle bar mount cause a sudden issue? I've been running this set up for months without issue.
I'm at a loss. I read is you can get it into download mode it should be able to get recovered.
Tried all I know and have read about.
So now with phone plugged into the samsung wall charger.
I went to download mode, selected re-start
Phone booted,
Samsung, unlocked padlock
Samsung blue purple splash screen. (Blue led light)
Verizon screen almost fully loaded (blue led light)
Then phone shuts off, goes back to battery icon with circle.

did you ever find a solution for this? This seems like the exact same problem I am having with my phone. Everything was working until it lost power. Now the power button will not turn device on. It will only turn on when connected to usb computer or wall charger and just shows an empty battery sign. It seems to reboot every 15 seconds from this. If I go into download mode and chose restart phone it gets to the white verizon loading screen and reboots. I can get to both download and recovery mode and flashed the stock full wipe and PIT file and this process succeeded but the phone is still doing the same thing.

My i545 is a similar phenomenon.
I am afraid to say, that as far as I know, with the Knox bootloader, it disallows any upgrading what so ever. I have heard of this bricking devices. The only way out of this is to see if you can reflash the most current ROM, but I am unsure if even that will work.
Hi,
I need your help.
I was using my phone normally when suddenly some official app crashed, i pressed the report by email button, but nothing happened, the phone freezed. So i just pressed the power button to restart the phone.
Now i can't turn it on ! Everytime it reaches the samsung logo, i get a cycle of 1 vibration followed by 3 vibrations a few seconds later. Those vibrations keep repeating until the phone decide to restart and the problem repeat itself.
tiny good news : I was able to enter TWRP recovery mode, and switch off the phone in order to be able to start it in "Safe mode".
So safe mode is working, but as soon as i try to come back to normal booting : same problem again (stuck at samsung logo + 1+3 vibrations infinite cycle).
Did this happened already to someone ? I was not doing any sensitive manipulation when it started so i'm surprised (the app that crashed it pebble time app, but i think it's just random).
Any way to boot in normal mode without having to hard reset it, please ?????
So i managed to fix the problem.
Here is my solution for others who might encounter this issue:
Being able to enter safe mode but not normal mode told me it was an app that bugged...
Something probably went wrong with the Pebble Time application: i've uninstalled it through the play store (in safe mode), and then.... i managed to reboot in normal mode again ! (and i reinstalled the pebble time app again, no more problem even after rebooting).
All good now.
I tried to unlock the bootloader of my LG L Bello 2 phone, and after rebooting in recovery mode it would start. I tried holding down volume down and power button but nothing happened! So I plugged it in my computer, and it keeps getting connected and disconnected, even after I unplugged the battery and put it in again so it should've been turned off. It seems like the phone turns on without me pressing the power button.
1. I take out battery and put it back in
2. I connect it to the computer
3. Computer makes noises as it's getting connected and disconnected all the time, but it still never gets recognized by the computer. I tried LGs tools but it won't work as it isn't connected for long enough.
4. Volume down + power button trick doesn't work. Nothing happens. That's the first thing I tried.
(I hear no sounds, and it doesn't vibrate or anything, I only know it has some life because the computer made noises when I have it plugged in)
Any ideas? I've tried everything
The phone fell off a treadmill and went haywire.
If I don't do anything it's stuck in bootloop, powers up, showes the loading screen moving lines for ages and eventually restarts.
If I start tapping the phone (unplugged) eventually it boots up, and it like normal, but if I do anything too quickly it will give me an error "process system isn't responding" with options to exit or wait, regardless it will crash. If at any point the screen goes to sleep it will crash, so I have to keep interacting. This one time I managed to get to the point where I plugged in into my pc, unlock the phone, select data transfer and started phone repair using Xperia PC software but it crashed before software finished the download and then gave me an error. Sometimes when I plug it in at that stage it will crash. Then back to the loop unless I tap the screen (only works sometimes, but I haven't seen it boot without me doing it, could be a consistent coincidence tho).
If I hold volume up + power button when the phone is off, nothing happens. If I do it while it's booting it will vibrate 3 times, restart, and then turn off (the only way to exit bootloop basically) but doesn't lead me to a recovery screen or anything I can interact with. Phone is not flashed or anything. When it restarts it will blink the red light a few times. Is there any chance to recover data or even just the phone?
Thanks!
Hello my friends!
I have a problem with my pocophone! I have some experience with phones but I have never encountered such an issue before.
I have never intervened with the software (no root access, custom roms and stuff). My phone runs stock miui, I think the most recent update was miui 12 or something.
A couple of days ago my phone was sitting around minding its own business and then it shut off and started again. The "POCO" logo is displayed for 5-10 seconds and then the phone reboots and never stops doing it until it runs out of power.
If I connect the charger it starts doing the same thing. It turns on by itself and keeps doing the boot loop.
There is NO WAY to turn it off. As long as there is power it keeps restarting.
Yes, I have tried pushing the power button for 10, 20, 30 seconds but NOTHING happens.
If I connect it to my computer again nothing happens, it is the same as connecting it to a charger.
If I keep pressed the vol up button, the secret menu appears (wipe data and stuff). I can navigate with vol up and vol down but nothing happens when I try to select something using the power button. Then after a few seconds the phone restarts again.
If I keep pressed the vol down button, I see the "fastboot" screen, but again the phone restarts after a few seconds.
Please help me. Any ideas? Could it be that my power button is stuck? But then why does the phone turn on again?
Doesn't look like any software issue, visit service center.
