I purchased a generic Tablet running Android for my wife about 4 months ago. She hated it and we were able to get an HP TouchPad cheap, so she is using that and I got the Android Tablet.
It runs slowly and I would like to do some modifications to it. I have searched for hours trying to figure out what I have and where I can go for advice, ROM's, etc, but I can't find anything specific to the device. It's one of those Chinese "knock offs". I do have the following info:

I bought an a-pad/e-pad which came in a Superpad 3 box. Upon research it is a very hard device to locate. I am looking to root it and install a custom rom to speed up and customize the device (as we all do).
I also understand there is not much development but surely there must be one person that can point me in the direction? There is 2 roms I found for a similar device the Flytouch but I am uncertain that the rom will work on the device.

Unfortunately this sounds like it is a clone. The apads that I know of are all ARMv7 compatible processors. That and the fact that the About device lists the version as V2.3 2011-12-07 which would be GB but yet it is truly 2.2 just changed to say 2.3 and probably skinned to look and act a little like GB.

I put an external SD card in it, and I still have no memory space. It has so many system apps and user apps that will not let me move to the external SD card. I would like to root it and cannot find any information on instructions for my particular device. I dont wanna try to root it until I have the right steps and info to do it. Thanks for the tip it helped me dip my toe in the android tweaking water however after pouring over the instructions it seems this method was intended for devices running Ice cream sandwich I did install pdanet but I backed off after that step I am really nervous about bricking the tablet I waited almost a month to arrive so I'm going to take it slow and keep digging for more device specific info and will share anything I find useful here

did a quick look at the vroot method and it might work for us but I am still going to wait a bit I contacted the Amazon retailer I bought the tablet from (Golden Gulf) last week and they have sent my request to the manufacturer said it was a Chinese holiday so it may take a week or so to get an answer brennacole88 where did you get your tablet from ?
I used Shuame http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2430698 to root my A23 allwinner 7in tablet. (there's only a Chinese version at present) by just clicking stuff using the guide above and it will add some Chinese apps but they are easy to remove.

I didn't get a good reply back from the manufacturer so I tried Shuame the english version is in the works but I went ahead and tried the chinese I don't know a single bit of chinese but was still able to find my way through it and now this obscure tablet that I couldn't find any info on is rooted

You can rooted with : VROOT ...or RootGenius ...those works for me.

hi first time ever done anything like this but i just purchased a gt90h and it keeps opening a Chinese browser called badui? and a couple of other suspicious files that i tried deleting and they keep coming back. also i cant install google chrome, is that because it is banned in china ? I really have no idea but i dont mind learning , your information is the best i have seen yet, so basically i have to root first to see what is on my system ?
then install a new uk English ? rom ? i am guessing here ! lol any extra help you can give me is greatly appreciated, i really dont want to but an ipad ! ha ha

I will pay 20$ to the man who finds me a ROM to this device. (Android ROM, with Android Visual)
I will post any information you want, I install any software you want.

I have this device, I don't even use it though but i find fun to solve problems, and I've been trying to solve this one for a long time.
So, the device is an Iphone Replica (which is already a Problem) and I am trying to install a ROM into the device (smth like CM, KK, anything ) but with no success. The device is Rooted as expected... So I installed already a few software to be able to see what the system is like ..
(an the system itself sucks a lot haha)
I am not doing this for money, I am doing this cause I like challenges ..

That is an Oficial Rom from that manufacturer, What i am looking for is a Android Looking ROM, not that "fake look" of Iphone IOS 5/6
If you know what i mean.
Will I have to work and make my own ?

Got rebranded android device - Need to figure out if there is a custom ROM I can load
Fair warning - I'm an android noob.
I'm have a rebranded android phone and I'm trying to find alternate ROM's for it.
The phone has the following specs:
Brand: AG Mobile
Model: AG Chrome Swift
Operating System: Android 4.4.2
Display 4.5" FWVGA
Memory 4G+512MB
CPU 1.2G Dualcore
Manufacturer refuses to release their ROM's, updates are non-existent. I'm hoping this is simply a re-branded HTC or something similar that I could an alternate ROM on.
When I used the APK Installer detector app it picked it up as:
Manufacturer: HTC
Description: YunOS ACB Interface
Any assistance to figure this out will be greatly appreciated.
It is a knock off device. You are out of luck to be honest. No one develops for knock off device.

No because you will need a custom recovery to flash it.
