back button of my sgs3 stops working randomly. when the screen is on, it works well for a short time. then stops working. but the menu button is functional without problem. after touching the menu button, back button is functional for a short time. after that again stops working. any ideas to solve the problem ???
Try to do a wipe cache or full wipe. It could be a software problem.

Hey.
My I9100 has a weird issue sometimes. For example, this morning, after I removed it from charging (powered off) I started the phone, everything working flawlessly, except for the fact that after I lock it (and the screen goes dark) it wakes up like someone is pressing the unlock button (after that it goes dark [after those 10-15 secs] and then it wakes up again).
It happens repeatedly but now (in this very moment when I am writing the topic) this problem does not manifest (I guess it's based on the weather ). Please help me diagnose and solve my problem.

Try to wipe cache partition in recovery mode.
Press Volume UP + Home + Power buttons until the recovery menu appears.
Then select "wipe cache" and reboot the phone.
Maybe the phone was busy/slow and you pressed the different buttons several times in sequence.
Just give it a try and see if the issue is gone.

try factory restore.
Hello guys, I'll try to be as brieff as possible:
My cousin has a SGS3, which suddenly started showing the power options screen (when you long press power button). Now his phone restarts on its own every time. When you insert the battery, it turns on by itself. If you try to access download mode or recovery mode, it does it but restarts again. I read it may be the power button is not working properly, but I dissassembled the phone and the switch is works normally (it's not broken, either stuck). I read several solutions about clearing cache and stuff, but it just keeps restarting! Like if someone were pushing the powerbutton every time. Btw, he discovered he can turn the phone on and actually stop the phone from restarting if he continously presses the power button and menu button alternatively without stopping (which is useless). When he stops doing that, 3 secs later, it restarts again. Any suggestions?
It's a hardware fault, did you test the button with a meter?
If yes then something else is shorted, to power on when the battery is inserted.

Ah, so this is merely hardware. I did not test it, but now it seems clear something is wrong on the inside (which, unfortunately, I cannot help with). Thanks mate!
Hi I'm suffering from an issue,all works well but when my phone is off,the screen that is and I press power button only key lights activate then I have too press it two more times before it shows lock screen,how can I fix this ?
It has happened ever since flashing 5.1.1 XtreStoLite pure 2.0,is there a salution?

Flashed a few roms and still no success with the touch screen.
After a reboot the pad works well and so does the touch screen, then the touch screen stops comes back then stop responding.
Any ideas? Original Rom had the same issue hence why I flashed it. The volume and power buttons always work. When it stops responding the power button brings it back to life?
Any advice would be great.
