How to turn off a frozen galaxy player - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Hello, while I was copying an apk to my galaxy player, the player froze, and I can't turn it off now.So is there a method to turn off the player 5.0 without waiting for the battery to deplete?
Thanks

This happens to my 3.6 too quite a few times. What I do is I press Vol. down and Power at the same time for 8 seconds. It will force restart the player.

Power Button / No lock

Dears,
I configured the screen to switch off after 30 seconds and the phone to automatically lock after 5 minutes.
This works but when I press the power button to immediately shut down the screen, it also locks the phone.
Is it possible to avoid locking?
I want the Power button to only shut down the screen.
Then the phone will be locked after 5 minutes.
Thanks everybody!

[Tips]About music player

when we play music there is a mini player at the top of the screen. But when we stop the music,it still there at lockscreen.I find some ways to make it disappeared:
1)at the lockscreen(when the screen is black) ,double press power key
2)at the lockscreen(when the screen is black) ,press power key in a normal way for 7 times ,and it works
Cool, thanks for the tip. Sometimes it is nice to have it there so You can resume music, but most times I want to make it go away as well.

Does not always work. Worked a couple of days ago.
Now I have pressed the power button from the lookscreen like 100 times and it's still there. So this is very inconsistent.
EDIT: ah my mistake I thought it would take away the info from the panel when you press the volume keys also. This only applies for the lockscreen info unfortunately.
Yup volume keys do work even when the device is locked. I hope you also know that you can silence an incoming call quickly by just tapping the vol up or down key.
There is also an app in the marketplace to remove the music player icon from the lockscreen and when volume keys are used

[Q] [HELP PLEASE] pressing the Play/Pause button on headset keeps turning phone on

Hey guys, i'm kinda new here so, I hope i'm posting in the correct thread. I hope someone here can help me out with my problem though.
Anyways, whenever i'm listening to music, and I press the play/pause button on my headset to control my music tracks, my phone turns on. This get's really annoying because every time my phone turns on, it stays on for a few seconds, and this really kills battery life. I've tried lurking around my phone's settings and even my launcher settings, but i can't find a way to fix this.
My phone is a rooted HTC Wildfire S running AOKP custom rom with Nova Launcher Prime. And if it makes any difference, I'm using the "Start" lock screen from the Play Store.
Thanks guys!:good:

This isn't a native feature so the first thing to do is to check the settings of your rom and Start app. Normally there's an option you have enabled.
Do u use an app to control your headset buttons? There's maybe an option that turns on your screen while pressing the buttons.

@Primokorn
I triple checked Start app settings as well as rom control settings. There's nothing there that seems to be the problem. I don't have an app to control my headset buttons either. I can't think of anything that must be causing this issue.

Do u use Active Display or Lockscreen Notifications? When your screen turns on do u see a notification or something related to your music player?

No, i don't think I use active display or lockscreen notifications. When my screen turns on, i don't see any notifications or anything related to the music player. It just turns on regularly as if I were to press the power button to turn it on.

sleep of death, but awake

hey,
a couple of hours ago, I started a podcast on my Z5c and put the phone aside, podcast playing over the speakers.
Now I can not access it any more, screen is black, LED does not blink, no response to power button.
However, the podcast is still playing.
seems to me this is the known "sleep of death" problem, only the device is running.
how can I solve this?
thanks so much

I though at first that would not work either (since the power button was not responding) but at the third try, it worked, many thanks
I experienced the exact same problem on my [email protected]
Solution: Hold Volume Up & Power until it vibrates 3 times. Then you can boot up your phone as normal.
