What should be Minimum CPU Frequency and Maximum CPU Frequency for
1. Best battery backup
2. Best phone performance
For Moto E
For performance: both at max(1190) freq and battery saving:both at minim(300) freq(lagy) For general use you can use interactive or on demand governors

I would say ondemand because we don't want the devices to be capped to a certain frequency because that would hurt race to idle, and smartass just sucks.

Yes out of the list you have, ondemand is the best for battery.
Yep I use ondemand too...guys question. what overclocking app do you use? I have Xperia Arc S w/ 1.4Ghz that can be maximized to 1.6Ghz...can I ask what is the recommended maximum and minimum Ghz That I should use?? And when in idle mode what Ghz do you set yours? THANKS!

In my opinions, you should set the maximum and the Minimum as your rom support, and the idle should be about 600~800 or 1Ghz as you wish

This is because not all things are equal. IT is really device dependent. Some can handle it and some cant.
I have a lww unlock bt and root with mesa kernel v 1.9 on official ics .578.
I want to know what is the best.(min~max)governor & I/O SCHEDULER To set with antutu cpu master for best performance and save battery?

As a matter of fact u cannot get best performance & battery life together. But with Mesa ur battery life is better compare to other kernel. So u can try performance, smartass v2,interactiveX as CPU governors for performance with "sio" i/o scheduler. Don't push ur phone to hard with max cpu freq. I would suggest ~1200
349 ~ 1024
Sent from my Live With Walkman using xda premium
For good battery use... Min 134~ Max 864.... Conservati or Interectiv.... IO Deadline........ For performance use 346 ~ 1400 SmathV2 and sio IO
Isn't that harmfull for phone below of 1017 ?
And interwall beetwin max and min have any important?

SetCPU is a tool for changing the CPU settings on a ROOTED Android phone. SetCPU can improve your performance, save battery, or both!
For more details: Google Play Link
XDA Forums Link
I managed to get around 24h of standby time and around 4h of screen-on time with 2G and wifi with moderate use but the results may differ based on personal use.
These are the profiles that would help to increase the battery life without sacrificing the performance.
Profile Name: Screen On
Conditions: Screen On
CPU Max: 800Mhz
CPU Min: 200Mhz
Governor: Lionheart
I/O Scheduler: Row
Priority: 50, Exclusive
Profile Name: Screen Off
Conditions: Screen Off
CPU Max: 400Mhz
CPU Min: 200Mhz
Governor: Lazy
I/O Scheduler: Row
Priority: 90, Exclusive
Profile Name: Games
Conditions: Any of these are true(All games)
CPU Max: 1000Mhz
CPU Min: 200Mhz
Governor: Performance
I/O Scheduler: Row
Priority: 55, Exclusive
Optional
If you experience lags during music playback when the screen is off.
Profile Name: Music
Conditions: Any of these are true(Walkman,In Call)
CPU Max: 800Mhz
CPU Min: 200Mhz
Governor: Lionheart
I/O Scheduler: Row
Priority: 91, Exclusive
Note:
1.I tried this on Xperia P, but it should work on U, GO and SOLA as well.
2.People with Stock Kernel could use governors like Ondemand,Powersave and Performance.
3.Remember to uncheck "set on boot" option on any other app that changes the CPU settings like No-Frills etc to avoid conflicts.
4.Please do not ask for download link of SetCPU as its a paid app and it is against XDA rules to post Warez, you have Google for that...
Feel free to share your experiences...
Special Thanks to nicolassp for his help...!!
Great. Setcpu also has a free version for xda users.

Initially i had Wheatley, but since i was underclocking i had to balance performance as well as battery life....
So i used Lionheart.
You could try Wheatley and report the results.
Thanks man, I tried it & I hope my battery life will increase.
Sadly the setCPU screen off profile sticks after I turn the screen back on in my XU.

Yes.
Tick on "Set on Boot" and "Enable Profiles."
thanx!
This guide is excellent.
Using this guide+Phantom kernel+Dark Rom I only used 32% of my battery over 14 hours yesterday
I don't see any screen on profile... the same for "games" and music, I don't have the I/O Scheduler, I don't see any "conditions" section.
What am I missing?

Friends,
Help me, I am using Xperia Ray.
How to Configure CPU Control in my Ray.?
Is there any way to improve performance of phone using CPU control?
Which is best min Frequency and max Frequency for xperia Ray.
Thanks.

hope u r already rooted..if not follow any rooting procedures in general tips and tricks forum..(one click root method was very successful in my wT19i,thanks to senior Nabeel :good
after rooting u can download setCPU or no frills cpu from playstore, to control ur CPU speeed..
very very detailed and easy descriptions regarding cpu control are already in those pages..so just check it out and dont wait simply till some experts reply to ur post..:good:

I use Xperia Ray and
For rooting:
I used eRoot, you literally connect your phone to PC and pres ROOT
Before that you have to enable USB Debugging in Settings->Developer Options.
After four green circles get checked your phone is rooted
For CPU control:
I installed Custom ROM and there i have "no frills CPU control" installed. I don't recommend you to do overclocking or do anything with your processor because you can brick and mess up your device if you don't know what you'r doing.
Also, man already answered, you can download do frills from playstore
If i helped you, please don't forget to hit Thanks button
Cheers
Google link for eRoot, I'm still not able to post links
If you want to decrease lag raise the minimum frequency. Overclocking does absolutely nothing except making your phone hotter and processor life shorter

The benefits of overclocking are still minimal.

if you just want to reduce the lag , use SeederEntropy app , It's AWESOME !
*requires Root Permissions*
Hope It'll help

CpU control lets u control ur phone cpu and its frequency and volatage.
increasing max freq. will increase speed but consume more battery.and risk of burning is also noteable.
so set it after doing research on ur cpu and itr limit.
and u need to be rooted and have a kernel to accses cpu
im using stock kernel. Can i overclock without flash custom kernel?

Currently, I'm on RR O Official. I can't change the minimum CPU frequency.
Balanced always 1.6GHz
Efficency always 1GHz
Quick? Performance? I don't know what to say
There's no way to set min 652MHz and max 2GHz? Or disable that performance profile?
Never go down to 652MHz is battery killer!
