[Q] How to share Google Play music on multiple deviceses - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How can I add my google account to my wife's phone so we both have access to our music? I have added my account to her phone, but we seem to have issues. Even when notifications for my account on her phone are OFF, she still seems to get things popping up from my account, such as Google+ Notifications, Hangout messages, etc. Is there any way for me to DISABLE my account on her phone for all apps except Play Music? And Maybe Google+ Photos [in a read-only mode ideally].
Thank you!

Multiple Accounts?

So since the latest google voice update, instead of selecting a different account for google voice, it now forces you to add the account. Now i'm wondering a) am i the only one sharing a google voice mailbox between 2 phones and b) should i perhaps go to a multi-account setup?
pre update:
my wife had a google account and used my google voice account
i had my own google account, so anytime a message was left for either of us, no matter who's phone we had we could get the message. Now if i had my account to her phone she also gets my gtalk, gmail, etc, unless i set them not to sync, but it's very easy to accidentally start gtalk with the wrong id, etc. It got me thinking, maybe I should create a new gmail account for things we like to mutually have i.e. a voice mail box , calendar and contacts and then we each have our own accounts for gmail, gtalk, etc
Having never used 2 accounts on one phone will this be pretty seamless? Anyone using this method? Anyone have ideas what some of the problems might be with this issue?

[Q] Sync Issues

My Nexus 4 was working perfectly fine earlier today. No issues at all. Then all of a sudden, nothing Google related was syncing.
Google+ and Hangout notifications, Gmail, Calendar, Contacts - nothing is syncing to my phone. For example, if I add a calendar entry or new contact via the website, it wont sync to my phone unless I manually go into accounts, Google and force everything to sync. Same goes for if I add a contact to my phone, it wont sync back to Google.
Is anyone else have this issue at the moment? I can't imagine it being isolated to just my phone.
I even tried removing my Google account from the phone and adding it again but not even that fixed the issue.

Google Account Sync Error???

Hello crew,
So I have my HTC One working fine, but today I noticed something that sporadically I've been noticing very much: every time I enter the Account Settings, I notice that there is always a Sync Error on my Google account. I only have one Gmail account added on my phone and everything else (twitter, tango, WhatsApp...) seam to all sync just fine.
I've tried troubleshooting this in the past but no luck. Here's what I have enabled on my Gmail account Sync:
App Data, Calendar, Chrome, Contacts, Drive, Gmail, Google Currents, Google+, Google+ Auto Backup, People Details, Sound Search for Google Play and Tasks. All seam to be working just fine.
Any suggestions or ideas on how to clear this error?
Note: I have a virgin phone: no unlocks, no root, no 3rd party customization.

Did you ever get this fixed? I am having the same issue with Google Account showing a sync error all the time.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
I have seen this on my HTC one after flashing a nandroid more that a few hours old.
Deleting the gmail account and re-adding it fixes it for me.
try removing your Google account and then reboot and readd it again.
Im having the same issue as of yesterday
Edit: Found how to resolve this.........http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42257807&postcount=7
On you PC go to: https://www.google.com/settings/dashboard
Under Account -> Connected applications and sites
Delete all HTC ones by clicking the revoke button on the right side.
Remove your account under sync under your phones settings.
REBOOT
Re add your google account
DONE

[Q] Preventing Google from Synching things

I've got my S3 I9300 International version. It's running 4.3. I have my google account synced for email and calendar. I don't want anything else synced so I go into:
Settings > Accounts > Google > My Account
In there, there are 15 things that can be synced. They are:
App Data
Calendar
Contacts
Drive
Gmail
Google Play Books
Google Play Movies & ...
Google Play Music
Google Play Newsstand
Google+
Google+ Photos
Google+ Uploads
Internet
People details
Picasa Web Albums
Every day or so I can go in there and check the sync settings and all by itself, it has enabled Google+, Google+ Photos and Internet. Can anyone tell me how to stop these options from enabling themselves? I went into Google+ and disabled a load of stuff and randomly they still keep getting enabled. Auto backup is disabled as well. It drives me mad.

Limit Google apps access to Google account

When I add a google account to a device it adds that account to all google apps (mail, maps, calendar, etc). I can turn sync off for most of the apps, but is there a way to limit which off the Google apps that account is connected to? ie, it signs in to my google account on Google Play Music so my wife can access our music (which is on my account), but my account isn't connect to her Google Maps so her location stops messing with my timeline.
