My observations:
- Sound via HDMI doesn't work (same Bug in CM9)
- WLAN is not as good as in CM9 (Music interrupts sometimes while Using Google Play Music)
Youtube works fine
(Wireless mouse: EDIT: Works after reboot)

Hello,
Yes, in update.zip there is a data folder. You can put there your apps and they will be instaled to /data/app folder.
Hi Aheros, first of all thanks for the rom it is great. But one thing is really annoying me is the sound stuttering, if i might ask what do you think how long could it take fix if it is possible?
also, for some reason i cannot roll back to cwm 3.x.x, it gives me this error:
"E:Error in /emmc/update.zip"
(status 0)
Installation aborted.
any ideas why is that?

Use fastboot to flash recovery. "Status 0" problem in updater-script. You can flash any ROM with CWM recovery if .zip has updater-script.

The "fix list" is a list of known issues which means items are needed to be fixed but hasn't been done.
In short, it's not fixed yet.

Hi Aheros thx for your reply.
I think I have found a temporary fix for some of the current issues. If you set the automatic sleep mode in the settings to 30 mins It will fix the sounds popping issue. I'm using my folio like this for 48 hrs and it's still working. No freezes or anything yet the wifi is seems to be better than it was before.
So just set auto sleep to 30 mins and use the button on your folio when you are not using it.

This is a cleaned and slimmed down stock ROM!

I like my ROM's clean, small and fast.
So what exactly did I do?
- Removed MOST Samsung/bloatware/KNOX/Google apps (~380 .apk's/files where deleted)
- De-Odexed.
- Rooted.
- ZipAligned.
- Greatly increases speed with NITROX (by k1ks)
- Added LibidinosoSC kernel v1.1 (by LibiSC)
- Added Dolphin Browser / Ad Blocker for Dolphin Browser.
- Added Nova Launcher.
- Added Apollo music player.
- Added AOSP Calculator.
- Added Xposed framework.
- Added WPS Office

Depends, This is a very clean and slim ROM.
This is a great base to start from! It offers a plain and simple base.
A good and fast browser/Office and some standard apps (calculator, email client, camera)
Hugh speed improvements vs the stock ROM.
How to install? - Attention if you proceed your warranty is void.
Copy the zip to an SDCard.
Have a custom recovery, Like TWRP!
Make sure you do ADVANCED WIPE!!!
From the TWRP main menu go to "Wipe" > "Advanced Wipe" > here select everything except the external storage!
Flash it like you usually do.

Known issues:
The Google search widget should be removed, since it's not working (Google search is removed(can be re-downloaded trough the play store)).
For some reason the first few minutes you might get a "android.process.acore stopped" This will fix itself after a few minutes of stabilizing.
As @mupet0000 mentioned, When the Home button is pressed it waits a little to make sure you aren't going to double tap the home button to open S-Voice.
This causes slight lag, It's something that is present in all Samsung devices with S-Voice.
This is easily fixed by flashing the S-voice zip, going into it's settings and enabling then disabling open with double press of the home button.

Knox issue
if i install this rom will i have knox waring at boot time? this will be the first time i will install non samsung rom and i havent installed knox so far Is it possible to give us original samsung email client as a seperate zip because aosp email is not working with exchange accounts.. thanks for your hard work.

i'm using your rom with Cybertronic kernel, running a lot better then stock!
Thanks for the development. Weirdly, this thing doesn't install for me. It goes into Odin mode when I try to boot system after flashing it. I thought it might have been a bad flash, but after a retry I get the same result.
Any ideas?

Try re-download the ROM it's possible it got corrupted during download.
Make sure you wipe everything, in TWRP go to advanced wipe and select everything (except external storage! )
Another possibility:

My BOX and VGB Emu app are able to write/modify files on my MicroSD card without probs, so this should work for all other apps as well

A very important point to avoid instability of the firmware from AndreyZO: on the memory card you need to remove all folders from the previous system. Leave only your private folder with music, videos, photos, etc... etc....
Small tutorial for instalation:
1. Be sure that you know what version you have ROW or CN, ROW+ or CN+, KitKat or JellyBean
2. Download the latest version of your desired MIUI firmware.
3. Copy the firmware on your phone, prefered on SD Card
4. Be sure that you have the latest recovery TWRP.For CN and ROW: TWRP 2.8.4.0 Rev.2 and for CN+ si ROW+: TWRP 3.0.x.x.
5. After all this has been cleared instalation should be simple.
6. Reboot to recovery
7. DO A FULL BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT SYSTEM
8. After backup go to WIPE/SWIPE TO FACTORY RESET OR SWIPE TO WIPE, any way the conclusion is to... WIPE
9. After wipe go to INSTALL
10. Enter to INSTALL browse to your MIUI firmware and select it
11. Select and SWIPE to INSTALL
12. Wait for instalation to finish and reboot to system, if the recovery does not reboot automaticaly
13. Wait for system to be installed. It will take some time, do not be scared.
14. After install configure the firmware how you want.
15. Good Luck.

Procedure for transition from older MIUI to newer MIUI
1. In the installed firmware MIUI-MIUIPRO V7 5.8.20 ROW or CN go to "Settings, Additional Settings / Backup & Reset / Local Backup"
2. Make a backup of System, Apps, Accounts & contacts
3. Reboot in TWRP, do a wipe, install MIUI-MIUIPRO V7 5.8.27 ROW or CN
4. Reboot in to MIUI-MIUIPRO V7 5.8.27 ROW
5. Restore all backup data.
6. Voila....
Already downloaded from 4PDA and tried. For me it detects only one SIM . Trying of different Modems and recovering IMEI with the help of unclemobile did not help.

how can an ROM can damage your SD card?
I am using MIUI Rom since 2012 on various devices never happened it to me & you are the first person to report such incidence on any ROM may be your hardware is faulty
P.S. : Try any card reader and connect to PC you may get the cards start working again

nops the card bay is working well.....i changed ROM to KK Stock.... 3 days np so far
Just random guess but is there any possibility that MIUI writes/access SD card much too much so it failed ????

Anyone had any success with any headset?
I have the pistons 2 and the buttons are not recognized as supposed to be. I also cannot optimize my sound settings for this type of headphones using the appropriate setting in the UI.

(I recommend titanium. if doing nandroid backup it will be in the OLD file system so if your transition to new filesystem fails
will need to use Nubia tool to downgrade to old file system.)

Same Question about nubia forums. not clear
I bought a IUNI U3 recently and found two recoveries for the device. There is only these two builds.
I bought the device to try something new and I wanted to translate the IUNI OS ROM.
Problem is: The CWM recovery is non touch and has a bug which causes backups not to work. The TWRP is version 2.8.3 and me and a friend of mine managed to get rid of an overheating bug by adding
other default governors for the recovery (setting on demand instead of performance). Still I have some trouble with this recovery, but it is the only thing I got.
If I want to flash a ROM with it I get errors.

Btw: the cooks of the mentioned recoveries are russians and I got no response until now. On 4PDA ru I can not register etc etc.

I am sorry I cannot help you with that. I have IUNI U3 for 6 months now. I am sadly using Chinese CWM :crying: and I think I tried restoring backup once and was ok. I tried TWRP once when I bought it and it failed in installing update package so I returned back to chinese CWM.
I am currently stuck at ROM BetaV2.0 20150105. When I tried to update to Beta 3.0 It got stuck at IUNI logo because of problem with Xposed. The IUNIOS use Xposed in their ROM unofficially like MIUI did and they moved forward to blow the Xposed installation in new ROMs. Some OnePlus one users spotted Xposed working for IUNIOS Beta3 custom rom and I did not know how they did it, or may be it is broken for IUNI U3 only.
Can you tell me which ROM you installed and if Xposed is working? Which GApps you use?
The only source I found for IUNI U3 was the chinses official forums. Can you tell me if you found any other sources?

The updater-script is parsed by the update-binary (which communicates with the recovery only for UI updates), so it's hard to imagine why it would work in one recovery but not in the other.

Sounds like or the updater binary has no implementation of the msm.bootupdater function or maybe you need some binary of /bin folder that has this function.
You can decompress the boot image from recovery.img and compare to the CWM boot image if there is any missing binary that has this function.

On 4PDA ru there are some devs working on stuff for the U3. I have never used Xposed on the U3. Last stable build is b3.0.5 - b3.0.6 is so buggy, I wonder why the IUNI dev team even released that crap.
I managed to flash the b3.0.5 using TWRP changing the updater script removing the device check and the radio update.

Thank You T-ryder. I do not think Xposed will work for all these versions (they all have the same modified app_process) and I need it for many apps. By the way, there is a new version of firmware and it is only available in Chinese forums. its release date is 20150514 and it is recomended from the posts on the IUNI forums. The download link:

Here What I did, of course with the help of google translate:
1. Create A QQ acount from imqq.com
2. Use your QQ account to login Baidu and choose to transfere the files you want to download to your Baidu Cloud (using the right arrow sign ==>)
Note: In Egypt pan.baidu.com links are not opening even with proxies (give 404 error) with some of ISPs so I had to view these links with a different ISP!
3. Use Baidu Program to download the files (It works from any ISP) the program name is: BaiduYun
BaiduYunGuanjia_5.2.7.exe you can google it. you need to login with the same QQ account and it will show the files on your Baidu cloud and you can choose to download any of them (download sign in chinese is like a capital T with a small slash \ at its leg )

Have you successfully flashed GAPPS on the latest IUNI beta rom? If so, what package did you use?
I'm having problems installing g-apps on iuni os as well. The phone always hang at welcome screen because settings crashes.
I'm currently using MIUI os, but prefer the iuni os.

If you are using IUNI OS v2, you need to remove SetupWizard.apk from /system/priv-app after flashing, or remove it from the GAPPS zip prior to flashing.
I had Gapps working fine on the previous (buggy?) IUNI OS v3, but after upgrading to this one, I can flash the GAPPS package fine but the apps don't appear to be installed. Weird!

The IUNI V3.0 ROM I shared on Google Drive is the latest production version not beta, it is better than Beta 3.06 because WhatsApp is working and it is the latest basband/firmware.
For the problem of the insufficient disk space, I have a solution:
There is a folder in most of official ROMs that you can remove safely (/system/sdcard), it contains the promotion videos and songs for IUNI U3. They are copoied to emulated storage during rom installation so they are not needed anymore because they are already there.
Delete this folder (need Root Access and file manager like Root Explorer) then there will not be space problem again (it is 250MB). Install The latest GAPPS by TKruzze, use mini/micro/pico no problem. I used pa_gapps-modular-pico-4.4.4-20150308-signed.zip and works perfectly.
