Hi,
I want to develop an application which runs a Http server without any external modem i.e. both server and wifi tethering should be in same device.
Example lets say android devices A, B and C are there. Now device A will be tethering (wifi hotspot enabled) as well server has to run in it. So that device B and C can connect to it forming a client which can access the server. How do i do this. Pls help...
I tried using server ultimate app, but ended without success since it is working only when i'm connected with external wifi modem/mobile data.
Pls let me know if there are any application exist like my requirement.
Please provide me solution, I'm in need of very urgent.
Thanks in advance

Hello!
I want to connect my hd2 via wifi with an cisco vpn network! So i have tried the following programs:
- anthavpn
- bluefire
- ncp client
but if i install these programs i can't find a wifi network! If i delete the programs there is no problem to find wifi network!
I think the problem is that the network adapter which is installed whith the program is wrong because without programs there is the network adapter "L2TP NDISWAN Miniport" used and with programs there is a own adapter!
Can anyone help me??
Thank you very much!
hi guys, i have a question for you.
I have to create an app that allows other devices to connect to my android terminal via wifi, without access point, so my device should become an access point to host their connections. i don't have to share the internet connection with them, just have to make them connect directly to me, then they send a UDP packet, and I have to read it, so on my device will have to be an UDP server after the connection creation.
so, any suggestion on how to manage wifi? any step to follow? my android version is 4.0.3
thanks a lot!
ps. sorry for my english!

HI
I have a new Galaxy S5e tablet.
I have successfully made a connection via wifi to my PC using the microsoft shared app using my pc fixed ip address 192.168.1.100.
I have two other apps that both give the following error message when attempting to access my pc shared folders:
‘Connection failed with ‘Failed to connect: 0.0.0.0<00>/192.168.1.100’.Trying again.’
I have followed the instructions at:
(remove the quotes change "com)
regarding my pc access, but I still get the error.
Does anyone know how what I need to do to connect to my pc shared folders via SMB?
Regards and thanks
I think that smb is off by default in win 10. Ensure it is on. You can check it via windows features in Progtams. Google smb windows 10 hot switch on and you will find plenty guides.
Both devices needs to be connected to the same wifi network.

SMB is definitely on.
Both devices are on the same wifi.
My pc does not have wifi but uses the router to connect.
I don't believe this is a problem with my wifi or pc or else Windows remote on my tablet wouldn't connect and work with my pc.
As it would appear no one has a clue where this code error comes from nor how to rectify it I have to assume Oreo is not fit for purpose.
Hello folks !
I'm new to Windows 11 and have been blessed with the new feature that allows us to install apks natively (well, with adb SDK).
Though, I've been trying to install a VPN apk, it works but there's an error when the app asks for VPN permissions. It says there's an error, and well.. it doesn't work.
Anyone tried/has a workaround ?
Big thanks !
If you're talking of WSA:
WSA shares resources with host computer's resources, so also the network, means you've to install on Windows computer a VPN what then get used.

Click to collapse
Oh damn..
I was really hoping that using a VPN apk would be possible with this WSA ..
Thanks for your answer though jwoegerbauer !
Win 11 has an issue with VPN's. I use Surfshark and when I installed Win 112, it created a new adapter that it tunneled all my internet traffic through so that if I disabled the VPN, it killed my internet. I had to delete that adapter which was NOT easy to run without the VPN on (Works sites wouldn't take to whitelisting for example).
I think there was a point in the process where my traffic was blocked with the VPN on. It's crazy
