Xperia S Camera Quality is not good....its 12 MP cam can't compete with 8 MP Cam of S3......anyway to enhance the camera experience ?
Can we use S3 Stock Camera apk in Xperia S ?
Learn to use the settings and you get some of the best pictures from a mobile phone.
Try some different settings/apps and you will see how much you can improve your pictures compared to auto mode.

The night shots aren't good because of the high compression on Sony software and camera app. Try uCam or Camera 360

Hi, I'm really excited about this phone since i don't like big screens etc. But one thing really annoys me. I'm talking about photo quality. I'm using camera zoom fx with 2mp photo size but still the photos are blurry. Can anyone tell me best app and settings for sharp photos? Tnx

3rd party apps or stock camera app nothing can do. they can only do some effects or crop etc. you must root and do some build.prop hacks.
but this way can't do high improve. its all about hardware.
Anyone have same problem? I don't know if it's this problem worth sending to service. But the photos are really disgusting...my old zte blade make ten times better photos. This Sony crap photos are full of noise and without sharp edges, everything is blurry...

Well, I have an Xperia U as well, but I'm satisfied with photo quality. Not camera quality obviously, but it's nice. Here is a photo which I took(xda resized it I'm afraid...)

Yes. I tried a lot of things today and problem is in the focus. Before the photo shoot, everything is nice and clean (outdoors) but when i hit the shoot button, i can see how the focus die a little a camera take less sharp image. Indoors is even worse

When using full res (5mp) the photo is comparable to old Nokia pictures...

2Mpx photos looks better than 5Mpx - this is old known thing in XperiaU. 2Mpx photos are sharper. Anyway quality of camera used in Xperia U is really bad. We can't do anything with that. And many times users have problem with big pink spot at the center of picture. Camera is really bad here
Yea noticed that odd thing with 2mp better photos too. At least i don't have that pink spot. I still have hope in ics update that it'll straight it up a little, but as i read it didn't help or its even worse.

I admit that the camera is poor, even compared to my girlfriends HTC one V which has a 5mp camera, the U looks about half as good. But when I set my U at 2mp the picture is far worse than at 5mp.
I assume its a hardware issue and my software setup will have no effect but I am rooted with locked bl and st25a ics firmware.
What about video quality? Any tips for improving quality?

The stock Rom is very smooth for me. All custom roms goes slow after some time. Is there any third party camera app that can solve this issue?

yup exactly my point....
This is a huawei ascend camera.apk working on 4.0 and up....
Cybershot can never work on jellybean roms....The title is misleading....

This is Huawei Ascend G615 Camera
It's not Cybershot ... Why ru lying Dude it's Huawei Ascend G615 Camera from Android Themes & Apps section
Here is it's Original Link- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2157806
& Remember Cybershot is Impossible to port Cm10+ Roms unless Sony releases source of Camera Lib. For 2011 Series Phones
I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but thought I'd ask.

I could be wrong, but from my understanding, any AOSP based roms will not have the Sony camera, or any of their effects or features.
Stock based roms on the other hand will.

What we need is a stock ROM with all the Sony bloat other than camera, noise canceling, and power management stripped out.

Agree with this completely! I love CM and CarbonROM (which is what I'm running right now) but really miss the Sony camera.
I've run RomAur (up until 3.6.. when I went to try to upgrade to 4.0 I had nothing but problems) and monxdified which like the other posters said have the Sony camera because they are based on stock and not only that, you can use an Xposed module to make 20MP 3:4 and 15MP 16:9 shots work in auto mode instead of the standard 8MP.
