Watch Faces - LG G Watch

So where are all the watch faces that can be installed?
I thought there'd be 100's on here or being shown on here?
What's to do.

search the play store.. but yeah, there isnt that many.

Try Reddit. There is a subreddit for Facer and Androidwatchfaces. Tons of them on there.Of course there mostly round but some of them will work on the LG or can easily be modified in Facer.

Nice Watchface for Fallout game fans.

If you want to get depressed go to the Motorola 360 thread and look at all the custom faces they ha e already. I am like wtf but popularity does make a difference. Needless to say I might be dropping the LG watch for the R or the Moto 360. I am really disappointed in what I paid for the LG watch versus how much more popular and better the Motorola watch is. As soon as the R is released I will make my final decision.

Yes but you can still use the round watchface on LG watch. It makes still good
Not square but it still well filled the screen.

I wanted to spread the good news of the Intellicom Watch Face app on the Play Store. Very easy to build a custom watch face, flexible and looks great. Getting it looking just right kept me entertained on the plane last night

Here is good square one. There are both square and round versions of this face.
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=escape.watch.face

Another square watchface
What about this one! I love Mickey
see the Mickey Magic facepak in play store

Check these out. Works with the app Facer. Very nice watchfaces.

I have several Watchfaces installed, but I bought the Facer and quite liked the ability to create and customize my watchfaces.

Just so you know, they all work with Watchmaker too!
Cheers!

A lot of those faces aren't aligned right.. How do you resize them to for our watch without having to change every little detail?

Yeah, that's an issue and basically caused by the difference in screen resolution and requires quite a lot of work depending on the watch face complexity, but I always end up with great results, even changing them so it displays the entire content even when dimmed, not just a black and white, limited version to save battery and avoid burn-in.
However I started to develop my own watch faces from scratch. Now I just import some new watch faces to learn how some of the functions work.
But the greatest feature of the G Watch that sets it apart from the rest, is the fact that you can go ALL DAY with the SCREEN ON without fear of screen burn-in or dead battery at the end of the day and confident that at the information is there in an instant!
After all, what's the point of wearing a smartwatch that will not show it's watch face all day and not just when looking at the screen (which sometimes takes a few moments that annoy especially while driving).
Cheers!

Appreciate your response, I guess I need to start digging into this thing and learning how to build my own faces.

I'm sure you'll have a blast creating your own watch faces.
I recommend Facer and Watchmaker.
Facer (pros)
1. Lots of watchfaces to download from http://facerepo.com
Facer (cons)
1. A bit less user friendly
Watchmaker (pros)
1. Somewhat easier to use, especially at the time of creating and placing elements.
2. Smooth animations
3. More functions
4. You can import watchfaces created on Facer
Watchmaker (cons)
1. No repo that I know of (Update, Facerepo.com now supports Watchmaker!)
2. I think it costs a bit more than Facer
Cheers!

I got watchmaker, gonna give it a go!

This is what I would want.. Well, add the temperature and it would be perfect. (Except designed for a square face).

I've started using Watchmaker here too. it's great, and facerepo is a good resource now (most facer faces can be imported ok too). It's nice being able to take a pre-made face and tweak it to your liking. I always find I like certain faces, but also want weather forecasts, etc, that some people don't add.

Been playing with WatchMaker.
I need to get use to it some more, but I think I'll be posting some results here soon.

[REQUEST] Johnny Castaway - Live Wallpaper

I don't know if many of you remember the screensaver Johnny Castaway available in the 90's for the PC. it was IMO the most entertaining screensaver ever. It would be great, if someone with artistic skills can create it for a live wallpaper...
OMG I love johny castaway. I have it as my screensaver in linux now using wine and some bash scripting. Johny as a live wallpaper would be insanely awesome.

Mentioned this to the other guys in our company a few months ago. I actually managed to track down the guy who created Johnny Castaway and he works for/started a game programming company now if I remember correctly. I never contacted him about whether he would allow someone to use Johnny Castaway, though, since we were busy developing other projects.
I'm not sure how intensive it is to create live wallpapers, but I'll talk with our lead programmer. We've got a lot going on right now with other development, so it would probably be a little while before we could get to it, if at all.
Johnny Castaway was friggin awesome! I loved that screen saver
Yes!
I've searched and searched for this for my phone! Someone please develop it!
seems like a nice saver. It'd make a very funny live wallpaper
well can someone get the screensaver and post it here? if i remember correctly it was a guy in a deserted island? like emmmmm windows 95 time? get it and we will try to recreate it in LWP (dunno how windows screensavers work but i will try)

There is no version for Vista or newer versions of windows. :/
I would love to have a JC animated wallpaper!
At least i'm dreaming of a new rendered, 3D Win7 compatible Screensaver of JC.
I'd even pay for!
There are so many fans out there, this would be a great deal!

i am getting nostalgic right now....
I just now saw this post but my team has been working on a clone. It's been slow going because of day jobs but I personally will have some time off at the end of the month until next year and I plan to spend most of it working on this. Right now we have an island with the sun/moon rising/setting based on the time of day and your gps location. Our next task is to get the decision tree done and then animations.
Here's a screenshot from my phone

somewhat related. what i did was download jc through utube. saved the file as an mp4 then used video live wallpaper. works for me. i also downloaded heaps of other clips like:
-spiderman swinging around the city
-the pug licking your screen
-tomb raider / lara croft running around / swimming
-afterdark flying toasters
i even have a video of the iphone screen wash (iwash) which i rarely use.
cheers
If you not had the pleasure of using the Johnny Castaway Screensaver, it was unlike any others. The beauty and true fun of it was not that it was a cool guy on an island in some funny scenarios. This screensaver shined on special days like new years eve when you see him celebrating, or rare scenes such as when he dreamed of being rescued. It run ok on xp without tweaking except it would only occupy the middle of the screen (look fine with background turned off). If one could recreate the real fun of this screensaver in an android live wallpaper, that would be an easy purchase for me.

I loved this wallpaper as a kid. I remember it on my fathers pc.
I am going to do everything in my power to make this a reality on the android phone.

Inspired by the Wuvuzela app (and possibly by the announcement of Portal 2 at E3), I've developed a simple little application that allows you to blow into your phone's microphone to blow out candles on a cake.
The options screen, displayed before running the app, now allows you to Calibrate your device's microphone. Simply touch "Calibrate", press OK, and blow into your phones mic until told to stop. The minimum decibels needed blow out the candles are now set to your current environment.
You can also enable the tune, which will play the Happy birthday tune after blowing out the candles.
Finally, you can change the preset message to something more personal, such as "Happy Birthday, Michele!"
Features:
-Blow out candles with your phones mic
-Custom birthday message
-Calibrated to your environment
-New, prettier birthday cake
-Happy birthday tune played in the background
Tested and working on my HTC HD2, but should work on other devices as well.
Let me know what you think/if you have any problems.

That's strange, I suppose the app can't get a hold on your devices microphone. Again, it's only been tested on the HD2.
Nice Application......Thanks
work great on omnia even just half screen...thank..
thanks for this good idea ! But in my HTC Touch HD, doesn't work : the candle is still there even if I blow strongly...
Nice app. But bad for your HD2's mic (corrosion!).
Didn't work on Samsung Omnia 2 (i8000)
Nice application.
But will be better if we can edit the message.
Thank you very much for application. Today is my birthday, even I can't switch off the candle.

Happy Birthday! Buy a real cake and share it with family and friends
If I may give my input
I think this application is useless, however many people like useless applications. To be quite honest, I think If you added the happy birthday song within the app that could be played on demand, that would create a much higher demand for it. I know there have been times when its someones birthday and I wish I could play the birthday song..... If this idea intrigues you let me know when you add it so I can be the first to test it out.... seems pretty simple....Good luck
great start....has great potential !!! why not try a new app of bits of paper.....that fly in pointed direction when blown in the mic ????

Also, can anyone see about getting me a cake image I can edit? One without a giant Portal gun?

Change the view of your Recents Apps List

I would like to think I'm pretty well informed. I browse the forums and did my homework before getting my G3, but yesterday I stumbled upon an article (I think it was "7 Things You Need to Know About Your G3") that showed a little trick that I hadn't seen mentioned the whole time I've been reading about the phone. When your Recents Panel is open if you pinch out slightly it will change from the small cluttered screens (I think it's 3x3) to a more zoomed in usable list (2x2) and if you pinch out even more it will go to the single column view!
I figured if I hadn't realized this yet there was bound to be a few others who didn't get the memo as well! (kind of like the hidden plastic tie-fighter on the power/volume buttons) Or if I WAS the only one then disregard my ignorance and have a nice day! :silly:

[Music streaming] Panda Radio

Hey guys. I've been a long time lurker at XDA, and since I recently graduated I traded my spare time for beginning my story with App Development. Currently I am learning to code properly and working on first serious app that I could publish, but in the meantime using AppInventor and Andromo just to have the extra motivating push of knowing how it feels to actually create something. Needless to say, that's what I did, and despite the simplicity and amateur-ishness of my first creation, I love how it feels and makes me want to make actually great stuff.
I wanted to find a special place to post said first ever creation and what would it be other than a development board closest to my heart, where I've read countless advice and obtained so many amazing software creations in form of custom ROMs? So I decided this will be it and for this app probably the only place I post this.
I know the app is not actually a fancy utility and that the quality is also far from being up to par (it doesn't crash and uses a tiny amount of resources though!), the app was made with thought of how I like spending time - I wanted a simple and minimalistic (resource-light) radio player with a nice atmosphere that would just seamlessly allow me to choose between music I listen to sleep, to relax/study or if I feel like something more nostalgic like old school Nintendo soundtracks. As a bonus it also includes an Anime radio. I did not want confusion of choosing the right radio stream, I just included carefully picked, one best for each category. And so it is, exactly that and just that, with a pleasant Panda background. Still I would deeply appreciate if you guys could just check it out and give it a try. Just with a thought that it's my first app, with hopes that there will be many actually good ones to come.
I will maintain this app to make sure it works properly just due to its sentimental value, so if you know anyone who would actually enjoy it, please feel free to share.
Thanks for everything guys!
And this is it:

I think you can tap into an interesting group of people. If you polish it up a bit and add a few more features and stations, you can have a real serious product here!
Do you have to have licensing for these songs in order to make money off the app?
I would love an exclusive 8bit video game soundtrack. One that would pump you up, whether it be while studying or going for a jog or even just driving around.

Thank you very much for the feedback, I really appreciate it.
As for the radios, most of them are Shoutcast stations used with permission of their creators and the app aggregates those. I would not be unfortunately able to maintain several 24/7 radio streams at a time.
I will actually keep that in mind about the 8bit gaming music, I think that is a great suggestion. I tried to somewhat make that happen with the gaming music radio station included in the app.
In the meantime I tried to follow on the radio idea and sort-of reused it in a more refined and so far thus more successful app aimed at relaxation and meditation:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andromo.dev578695.app548348
I just launched it and it got enough active users to get itself in the popular category for meditation music!
Next step, going for writing raw code for the apps, since with my current ones I helped myself with code generators, to start things off. It still takes a lot of time and effort that unfortunately doesn't pay itself off, but I'm doing it as a hobby, since I didn't choose app development as my career. I wish to stick to it to make only better apps, it is very satisfying to me, so maybe I chose a wrong career after all!
Thank you very much, and thanks everyone who checked my apps out! This place has always been one I looked up to for great developer brains and community.

V60 Themes - Support & Feedback, Communication

Hey everyone! So after a bit of a break I'm back and I've brought along some new themes for everyone to enjoy! Some of you may remember me over the past few years from various LG devices. So what the purpose of this thread is, is to provide support, feedback and allow me to communicate, interact and discuss my themes with all members of xda. I know that a lot of people now are pivoting to telegram but honestly albeit convenient it's just not as good for people to find things. With this format other members can view the thread and see suggestions or issues that have been brought up or add their own. I much prefer it this way and with all of my other threads I've found XDA to be the best way to provide support and gather feedback from members all over the world. There are a few rules that must be abided by. First, the purpose of this thread is exactly what the title states; "Support, feedback & communication". It is not to generate sales/revenue and as such I request that no paid links be posted. I understand some people like to make life easier to those who can't find a link but I forbid this as does XDA rules. XDA rules (11) states that
Don’t use XDA to advertise your product or service. Proprietors of for-pay products or services, may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or a free version of their product for XDA users and to offer support, but not to post with the intention of selling. This includes promoting sites similar / substantially similar to XDA-Developers.com.
So let's keep it that way. Next, I don't mind if you ask me about eta's. I know some people get quite fired up about that but it doesn't bother me. This doesn't mean that when you ask, that one magically shows up. My life has become much busier than it was in the past and I spend considerably more time creating themes than I did when I first was making them for the V20, G6, V30. After those devices it became possible to theme more elements and I also believe my abilities improved. So I really try to focus on attention to details. Next let's have some fun in here. After all this is supposed to be a fun hobby that we all share (customizing our devices). I absolutely love screenshots so if you want to post some of your home screen setup while using my themes, by all means show off your creativity. Lastly be kind and courteous to each other. If you've read this far I thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing your input and feedback. Update info:
In closing some of you may ask about (insert theme name) that you used to use on your old (insert name) device. Some of these themes are anywhere from 2-4 years old and honestly they likely won't be. After about a year or two I normally stop updating a theme. Some themes in all honesty don't require updates. More on that in a bit. But here's the thing. LG has an interesting way of doing things. So for example let's say you used pixel experience on your G7 of V40 and you liked using it. Sure I could technically update it to work on the V60. But by doing so it would cause it to stop working on the G7 or V40. That is simply not fair to do to those who have not changed their devices. I've tried to make it work in the past and it always causes more harm than good so for that reason I generally avoid that. Back to update frequency. As I was saying, not all themes will require frequent updates. A theme sometimes reaches a point where it is pretty much bug free and eventually it runs it course and I don't just update for the sake of updating. An update serves a purpose of either improving of correcting something and sometimes less is more.
Now for my first theme which has an optional add-on system icon pack:
E for Extinction

So I really debated making this theme for a long time. I had the odd email here and there over the years asking if I could make this and I always politely declined. But I decided finally to do it... Why not right! Anyway I think this turned out pretty well and it has dark and light mode styles, icons and wallpapers. When you want to switch switch to default theme, then choose either light or dark mode and reapply the theme. If not the icons won't take properly. Here's some more screenshots if you'd rather look at them longer than shown in my video. Anyway I hope you like it! I'm honestly not sure how many more LG themes I'm going to make. It seems with LG discontinuing their mobile division that interest in themes has died down quite a bit.

We'll see what happens. I need to finish an update for the first theme still. There's a few adjustments needed

Can you open up your themes app and show me a screenshot of your themes? Make sure you're under the themes tab.
