If they are not in /system/priv-app/ , then they are normal user apps and can be uninstalled like any other user app :good:

i delete ANY apps with rom toolbox pro
i have noticed that if i delete pre-installed LG app it will be gone forever, factory reset and hard reset not helping, just flashing new rom is the solution then. if i want to get rid of pre-installed apps i just freeze them with rom toolbox pro so you won't see them anymore like they are uninstalled but after factory reset they will appear

You can backup them with Titanium, and delete it

How to...?

I have few questions, I don't know if they have been allready answered, I tried searching but with no luck....anyway:
1. Is it possible to extract installation files of app. I downloaded from Android market so I can store themn on PC,so I don't have to download them every time I hard reset my phone.
2. How to export/import Opera Mobile 10.1 bookmarks.
3. Is it possible to disable option in home screen "tap and hold" to add more widgets, because I often excedently keep messing up order of widgets in my pocket and even when I scrool with finger.
4. How to uninstall or at least delete icons in menu of preinstalled demo games and apps.
Sent from my x10 mini PRO using XDA App.

You can use Root Explorer and have your phone rooted so you can delete the apps you dont need or copy them from system to sdacard and of course their icon will disappear.
Search in forum about root and deleting apps.
Or look here... is easy to found if you look for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840356

Isn't titanium the same as root explorer?
Because I don't want to root my phone.
And thank you (who asked and who answered)

Uhmm... They r not the same, titanium is like an app manager and root explorer is a explorer, like astro. Yes, you can uninstall with titanium but for unintalling system apps or those that come by default you may need to be root. Havent tried to do it with titanium without been root but it think that you need to have your phone rooted. Just try it if it doesnt work you will have to root to delete those apps :S
And.. Why u dont whant to root?

1st.thank you for the explanation.
2nd.i don't want to root because I don't think I would be able to install updates from sonyericsson any more and I kinda have a bad past after playing with original system files in my ex-phone :-D.
Thank you again

with rooted phone, to uninstall some DEMO SE apps. and games is it enough to go to /system/apps and delete .apk files that I don't need or is there some more files and folders that belong to those apps. I want to delete....
Yea, delete the apps from /system/app and restart your phone. After that go to Phone settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications, you will see some apps with default icons, and default names like "com.android.****" - uninstall them, and there you go. Nothing left. You can also start Titanium Backup, and clear app cache to be 100% sure that nothing is left in the memory.

Are those apps installed on your phone?
If yes, then imo they are in /data.
But if you want apk's of the apps just download mybackuppro and select backup option and choose those apps.....all the apk's of those apps will be in rerware folder of sdcard...
Hope this helps.................
Once you paid for an app on market, you can install it unlimited number of times on any phone logged in your google account, factory reset & custom rom etc doesn't really matter.

remove them from the rom if its a custom rom and install
If stock you will need to root and remove on the phone system /apps
Or use TB to freeze or uninstall .
If you remove an essential app then your phone may not boot .

already used a debloater but it didnt remove these.
then you used it wrong in some way .

Probably a dumb newb question but If you do this and the phone won't boot, is it bricked forever or can you get it back somehow?
If you install cwm you can make a back up before you touch anything.
Or you could just install the stock Rom for your phone if you get stuck, but that would mean starting from scratch.
In regards to removing apps there are lists stating what apps are safe to remove.

remove default browser?
I have a Galaxy S3 (stock Ice Cream Sandwich) and chrome installed.
Is it OK to remove the standard web browser in order to force all apps that open URLs to use chrome instead?

You dont need to remove the default browser to do that..just make Chrome your default browser..
if you really don't want to use it, just disable in app info. setting-application-all- find your app then disable.

In order to remove stock apps, you first need to root your phone, then install titanium backup, it gives u the option. To either freeze or delete an app. If u not sure if an app should be deleted u can freeze it first to see what effect this has. The paid version allows u to batch restore. Any updates to your firmware will replace any stock apps u deleted. U can install rom manager to backup your ROM.

Tired of SONY's bloatware

I got sick and tired of SONY's bloatware. I uninstall them all(appXtra, UEFA.com, Mcaffee security, wisepilot), but after I reboot my phone, all of them gets installed.
Any solution to this?
I'm going to install custom ROM this weekend anyway. But would like to know the solution to that problem.
PS:I rooted my Neo V

Install Root Explorer and delete the apk's from System and you wont't get them back at reboot
PS - save yourself the trouble because weekend is here and you'll be installing a custom ROM

Its really simple man
1. open root explorer( obviously ur phone shud be rooted to use this)
2. then open system folder.
3. then open app folder.
4. then u will see all the apps u get with the phone.
5. delete appxtra(anything u want)
.
If the apps dont delete .
there will be an option on top "R/O'
make it 'R/W'
then start deleting.
Please hit'thanks' if i helped
The WisePilot and the others can be found at "system/etc/product/applications"

AW: Tired of SONY's bloatware
Take a look at link to SD. If you have root on your phone its a fine app.
It lists you all system apps on you phone and offers a uninstall option. Very easy and no browsing with root explorer.

Hey,are you still on stock?
And do you wanna remove bloatwares?
If yes,pm me... I've a tool made up! Maybe you could try! Btw it needs root and cwm

i had your problem too on stock. You uninstall them and on reboot they install themselves. I couldnt find a solution for this until I tried system cleanup and sdmaid. I cleanedup everything and they never showed up again. But in my opinion stop using original stock and flash a rom. (you dont have to unlock your bootloader to do that for most roms .)
Hey use neoMaid 1 ...it can be found in themes and apps...it removes and optimizes phone in one flash.....totally trouble free...

remove unwanted gapp

hi, i want to remove unused google apps installed in /system/app (play magazine , play video, play music ecc...) AND removing them i free the phone from services running in background and killing battery, ALSO i don't use them so i DON'T want them (don't say i can disable it's not the same)
my phone i rooted (XT1524 with 6.0) but if i delete the update and remove the app from /system/app using a tool like root explore or es file manager phone goes in bootloop.
there is a way to remove those app?
Only by unlocking your bootloader, then root yo device and you are good to go. Titanium Backup or something like that.
you have to be careful. Try with Titianium.

my phone is unlocked and rooted (i said it in my opening post), it's impossible to delete something in /system if the phone don't have root access....
so...
the problem remain: deleting google play apps result in a bootloop
