The rom needs to be ported to your device,otherwise it won't work...You have to ask the ROM Dev to port it to xperia u...Maybe he (or another dev) can help you
well first of all you need to have unlocked bootloader whereas you have locked bootloader.... second the rom you are refering to is specific to the xperia u devices... flashing it on xperia P will brick your device... and why do you even want to install xperia u rom when xperia P already have every custom rom possible from ICS to Kitkat.... flash one of those..... i prefer Kitkat because its close to perfection and can be used on daily basis... just use greenify donation app to hibernate apps and xbooster pro with multitasking profile to boost ram with right governer and io schedular..... trust me you will become a very happy man.... ps. if have any problem with bloatware just remove it...

I am planning to buy a Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini soon which has a Gingerbread installed.... Can anyone tell me if theres an official update for ICS for the same device or any unofficial roms without custom mods?? And one more question, is it possible to disable the corner interface ??

Yes there's an ics update, but ics isn't very good on our devices. Gingerbread is much better, faster, more games are working
You can install custom roms, but only a few for locked bootloader. If you want to install custom roms like cm10 you need to unlock bootloader which voids warranty.
You can just disable it if you install another launcher from playstore/apps, theme section or you root your device, unlock bootloader and install a custom rom :good:

i just see this phone on youtube, is an Xperia ZR ( Xperia A ) special edition for docomo in japan and found the firmware
it is based on JB 4.2.2.. im not a developer but i think some people will like this like me.

I saw in xperia u thread they had build Lolipop for their little device . So this may be posibble to our xperia p ?

I'm guessing that when Android 5.0 comes out officially it will be ported to lots of devices, or when the Xperia U 5.0 ROM is is fully stable, it will be ported to Xperia P, Sola and Go and maybe the Xperia S, because the hardware is similar.
Or somewhere a developer is working on a ROM specifically for the Xperia P.

I searched about it but in all sites all members give this link (s.basketbuild) for download legacyxperia cm-13 for xperia ray (urushi) but itsn't work for me even with vpn .may you upload this rom or even cm-12 for xperia ray (urushi) on a good upload center like mediafire please?or if you suggest a better rom than this,may you give it to me?it is very important and necessary for me.thanks
