Just took the phone out of my pocket, and the screen looks like the attached.
What's going on. Phone and touch screen still work fine.

This doesn't show what I see. I'll have to take a picture with another device.
Here's a photo. The entire display is messed up, particularly the Upper right. Tried powering down. No luck.
Your screen is broken. Sorry to make fun but lol at you trying to screenshot a broken screen, haha.
Hopefully you're still within 6 months as HTC replaces for free if I'm not mistaken

Isn't the HTC Advantage only for cracked screens? If it is I see a date with a hammer in your future.
Let us know what they say and I hope it works out for you. It appears that the LCD connection has come loose. Have you dropped your phone lately?
No. No drops, jarring, or anything. Screen is not cracked or damaged in any way, and touch works fine. I'm using it now.

Honestly, I can't recall anything I did that would have caused this, so I'm a little puzzled. Anyway, I'm shipping it back to HTC under warranty. Should only cost me $19.
Good to hear. Happened on a phone I had once. Likely pushed up against it when it was in your pocket and never realized it.

FYI, replacement device is on the way back to me from HTC with no hassle. I returned my original device to stock, factory reset, and re-locked the bootloader before I shipped it back, but left it S-Off.
Well, I received the replacement device today and it doesn't vibrate. Looks like I'll be shipping this one back too. Don't they check these things before they send them out?? I'm beyond frustrated at this point.

Sounds weird, but this is the 2nd ATRIX I've received and within 4 months, a portion of the LCD screen just...dies. not dropped or water damaged either. Also with both phones it was the SAME part of the screen...and almost exactly 4 months apart...odd.

As you can see, that strip doesn't recognize contact, in either portrait or landscape. Anyone else experience this flaw?
Yup. But mine was at the top. I sent it in for warranty and got it fixed.

Facing the same problem, unfortunately the phone is out of warranty, can anybody help me with links to buy the Digitizer?

I've also got the same problem, except the dead portion of the screen is the exact part where the first notification in the notification bar is.
Any ideas?

Digitizer. The weakest part of that phone. If its in warranty, you're lucky. If not, search around for a replacement.

I just bought my second digitizer. (first one was not oem and worked but it didnt have minor details like tint where the sensors are.) My original one went dead, the second one i dropped the phone and it started going bad. Here is a link to an oem one from amazon. It should get here by monday so I will update you on the condition of it. I would NOT recommend going for a cheaper non-oem version.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053EYGEO/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
EDIT: I got the digitizer... and broke the ribbon cable lol. It was in perfect condition though and the company issued me an RMA so im getting another. I am sure that it worked fine. Seems like a great company (i got it from seller1on1) I have bought from them before, i cant say anything about how good the other companies are.
OK so long story short. Bought my s3 lastnight only to notice today my front sensors are off center. The camera, eye tracker and proximity sensor all work. But I'm guessing I'd be better off exchanging for a new one. Would u guys do the same? Just sucks cause this phone has been working better then my i9300. I'd hate to get a replacement that doesn't work as well

Hold on to it, AT&T is going to issue a firmware update to fix the offset
J/k but it all seriousness, If the offset of the lens has got you erred wait till you run LCD checker and observe the black screen in a dimly lit room, you're going to go apenuts.
Damn i'm sorry I just ruined it for you.
My friend loved his S3 till I told him about the LCD thing, now it's all he can think about even when he never finds himself in a situation to see the issue. Heheehhehehehe
Samsungs dirty little secret..............
Yeas exchange it. In my experience phones that have an issue on the outside are very likely to break later on in the future.
Thanks. Yeah I exchanged it. The guy at store couldn't see the problem but said he'd exchange it if it made me happy. It did

So I left my precious Galaxy Note on the back on my dads truck, the car that he will only drive 10% of the time, and then today he drives it. I go out to get my phone and realize he took the truck. I was like "OHHHHHHH *swear words*!!!!!!!!!"
I went out and looked for it and found it on the side of the rode face down with the screen protector off. I had a simple flip case on it, but I wasn't able to find that.
I am ultra sad right now, but there is a lot of hope.
A strange thing is that the battery was still in it and the back of the phone had absolutly no scratches on it.
I turned it on and I could hear little startup sounds like the new gmail message one
So I guess that is good, but I still have this broken screen .
So the reason I am posting this is because I want to know if I can get it fixed with a kit or something. I am assuming I have to get the LCD and polarizer because the screen is cracked into little bits as the picture showed, and I can pick out each of those bits pretty much.
So much for gorilla glass
Gorilla glass is not for a phone dropping off a moving car....
Also p.m. me I have a spare backing for the note brand new

wait, you left the phone on the back of his truck.....you say that like its normal like one would put it on their dresser or something. So you normally leave your phone in the garage on a vehicle?
Looks like someone ran over it. too many impact points on the glass from pressure applied, rather than the initial smack on the ground.

Does anyone else have a dimple/dent that goes from the bottom of the rear camera to the AT&T logo? Its like a line dent.
Thanks

Thats the way it came.. I guess I could take it back to AT&T and have them pull out another one to compare and return it if the other one is not dented..
A guy at best buy said it had something to do with teh 0 space deign or something.. I think he was full of it..
I have a random dent/dimple on my HTC One on the right side of the back; I never dropped the phone or anything. It's my work phone so I'm not going to go jumping through hoops for a replacement because I have a case on it but if it was my personal device I'd be exchanging it in a heart beat.
I have strange, antenna like structures coming out of my One's earphone jack, and they seem to be watching me, spooky.

I had three of them around the camera. Looked like zits. I took it right back in to best buy and exchanged it. The new one doesn't have it. So if you got it I'd recommend an exchange.

I went to AT&T on the 15 th day thinking I had plenty of time. Guess I should've read the receipt. I was thinking I still had 30 days to return it,, Oh well. It's not that noticeable, but I know it's there, so it bothers me a little..
Bought a used Xperia Z2 today. Having owned 2 in the past, it was very stupid of me not to check it throughly, anyway I paid the guy and went home.
It was on 5.1.1, so as I was setting it up, I lowered the brightness a bit, and immediately the bottom of the screen started flickering, it also showed weird multi colored lines and it only happens when the phone is NOT on full brightness.
Even if I adjust the brightness slightly less than full, it starts flickering again.
This is the phone at full brightness.

What could be the problem and how would one go about it?
P.S: I texted the seller and he advised a software upgrade. So I flashed the 6.0.1 FTF and it's still happening.
Any replies will be appreciated.

Thanks for replying.

Update: He has the cheek to reply after being rude and says, it's a software problem. Then when I told him I flashed a new FTF and did a factory reset, he says have it checked out by a phone repair guy.
Then he turns his phone off. :/

I tried my last resort thing.
Opened up the phone, took it apart, put everything back together and the problem went away mostly, but it's still there sometimes.
Guess I'll actually have to dump the phone then.
