i am very new in android and someday ago i bought sony ericsson xperia mini pro. ok i know this phone have official ics update and by default i have gb. so i connect my phone via pc companion and try to update but it say i have the latest software.. now ok i want to know that how can i update? i want a stock ics rom because xmp have a keyboard . plz provide me download link and flashtool download link. and the main thing is I DONT WANT TO UNLOCK MY BOOTLOADER. can it possible?

If I were you, I would stay on gingerbread, cause it's more stable, etc.
If you want to update look here for the rom ftf and for flashtool here.
But flashing voids warranty, so better try to update via for example seus, for that look here. It's the official sony tool and maybe with this you can update.
May I ask where are you from, because it should be available via pc companion...
If you want rooted ics you will have to do it with this tutorial
first say u helped me a lot, . and im from bangladesh. i tried to update my phone using pc companion that i got in the free 2gb mmc, .and also tx for the advice, i got that many user have prblm in ics
How can I upgrade to stock ICS from 2.3.7? Sony website told me that I ready have the latest rom, but the system information shows that I'm still in 2.3.7. Is there any reason why I can't upgrade?

Make sure you have the latest PC Companion, you can also use Sony Update Service to update your phone. If it still doesn't show you an update then search the ftf file for your phone and flash it via flashtool.

I have a Xperia Z2 SGP521. I downgraded to version 17.1.A.2.69
I did that with Flashtool. Afterwards i rooted with Towelroot and installed SUPERSU.
Now i have full root.
I get the message that there is an OTA update. Can i do that without loosing ROOT ?????
Can i flash the stock Lollipop ROM without loosing ROOT (from Experifirm) ?
Does someone have a firmware package (FTF) prerooted wich i can flash with flashtool. I dont want to flash recovery....because i lost all my data triing that
If you find this Q to be obsolete because it is asked a million times......neglect it.
There is so mucg info on this but not with the ezact firmwares i use or wanna use and i have been told this device can brick easy. So this Q is to be shure !!!

Today a new global update rolled out for M4 Aqua and M4 Aqua Dual. Was hoping it would be the Marshmallow update but sad news is it's just minor update. Though I have not found the update, it still shows my device is up to date. Hope the update will be available soon in my region. Is there anyone updated yours?? Sony Mobile has released a new firmware update for the Xperia M4 Aqua today, but before you get too excited, this is only a small update on Android 5.0 Lollipop. No Marshmallow for Xperia M4 Aqua owners just yet.
This is a global update and is live across all variants of the Xperia M4 Aqua (E2303, E2353, E2306) and Xperia M4 Aqua Dual (E2312, E2333, E2363). The single SIM variants have been updated to build number 26.1.A.3.111 (from 26.1.A.2.167), whilst the dual SIM variants have been updated to version 26.1.B.3.109 (from 26.1.B.2.147). Feel free to post your impressions once you’ve updated. In the meantime, we’ll keep you posted once the big Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware starts to roll.

This is awesome.. probably the best update so far... phone is smoother than .167 definitely.. automatic transfer is very nice feature.. sony is doing something for xperia m4 aqua that is a good sign.. they are not neglecting our phone... keep it up sony.. well done... :good::good::good::good:

E2353 and E2363 are still waiting for the update! No confirmation when this two device get the update. It feels really horrible when everyone is getting the update I have to wait more for the update. Possible answer found why this two devices have to wait more for the update..

ota updates have that kind of problems always in my country (argentina)
best option is flashing ftf with flashtool
you can download the updated ftf with flashtool and xperifirm, its available the last version now
Anyone got update on baltic E2303?

hello i am seeing everyone here got their m4 aqua upgraded to android 6.0, although when i go to software update on my
m4, it says it already has the most recent update. and i only have android lollipop 5.0.
Is there a way to upgrade it to 6.0 without voiding my warranty?

The official update is only available through Xperia Companion.
Alternatively, you can update the unofficial way by flashing through flashtool.
So just to make things clear: a computer is required to update your phone.
Concerning the warranty: you won't void it unless you unlock your bootloader (and flashing an official firmware, even from an unofficial tool like flashtool does not require to unlock it).
I would advise you to go the official way (update with Xperia Companion).

the problem is that it says i already have the most recent android system on sony app.
also i don't know how to upgrade this
go to xpericheck.com and search your device. the latest is 26.3.A.1.33, if your device listed there with the latest software i think you should flash it using flashtool. and if you wish to upgrade using official method, try to factory reset your phone and try again using xperia companion.
Extra! look at Diagnostics. if there any information about Software Update available, you can use your xperia companion. and sorry for my bad english. good luck
