My samsung mega doesn't ring only some time. If it doesn't ring the call will go to voice mail. If the caller hangs up before it goes to voice mail I never know I was called because it doesn't show a missed call in call log. I have read all I can find here and other places. However my problem isn't exactly same as I find. All sound is on and volume is up. I also know this since it does ring some time...
Now on the dialer pad on the # key there is a icon looks kinda like a speaker with a line through it. I can't remove it, what is it. Even though it is there the phone will still ring sometime.
From what I read I might have a software problem. Can I put the KIT-KAT on and perhaps solve the problem
Any help appreciated.
I posted this on the incorrect form a couple days with no answers. Probably because post was wrong forum.

When I get another incoming phone call I get a audible beep like I should , however the phone applet does not show the incoming caller number or anything, until I put the person I am talking to on hold. Then it shows up in the phone applet and then I have to press switch to talk to them. This sucks butt!!! Can anyone point me to a fix for this? I would be greatfull.
Thanks,
Mikee

I don't think this does what you want though. Doesn't it stop when you press ignore? I can't think of it right now. Maybe you just want any button to do this, but then you couldn't answer. Maybe explain this one more.
I think hes talking about the same issue im having with my phone. Actually I have two different issues that are somewhat related...First, i think he's talking about the text message ringer. For example...if i set a ringtone to my text messages(songs that is) and i recieve a text message, there is now way to shut the ringer off...it just keeps playing and playing and vibrating and vibrating....the only thing that will make it stop is a power down or soft reset.....whats even weirder is if i recieve a text message while the first message is ringing it plays the ringtone a second time in the background...so not only can i not stop the first one but there a second one that i cant stop either...PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!....now for the second issue....i downloaded mring for my phone and it allows me to stop the problematic ringer from before by pressin any button on my phone (GREAT!!!!!!!!) no, not great...when i set my text messages to ring and vibrate it rings, but no vibration occurs...and if i have it on vibrate only...it doesnt vibrate either....at first i thought it was problem with my phone, but the vibration on telephone calls works fine...it's only text messages...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!!!!!! if anyone can fix the problem im having with mring that would be great cuz i want to continue using that program seeing as how i purchased the product and now that im having that problem its basically useless...
I can't seem to be able to get voice dialing to work with any consistency. Is this a known issue? And it's not because of an accent, either..
I'd like to be able to place calls through my Bluetooth speakerphone, but 9 out of 10 times, it calls the wrong number, and I have to scramble to hang up. I've pretty much given up on it, but wanted to check to see if I've missed something.
Thanks.

I use Vlingo
It's incredibly accurate and great for "In the car" tasks. Make sure to select car mode in the app and you can call/text/music/nav hands free.
I don't have enough posts to list the market link, so just search it.
Thanks very much for the suggestion. I've installed it and will test out today.
I just came back to Google ( had sprint EPIC w/2.2) after having a HTC Arrive w/ WP 7.5 . The thing I liked about the WP and I got use to was the text to speech that was built in. When you got a text with your Bluetooth on it would tell you who the persons name and if you want to read it or ignore. If you said ignore it would end. But, if you said read it. It would read it then ask "reply","call', or "i'm done". If you said I'm done it would end, call would call, reply would ask your message and read it back to you. It would do all of that without touching the headset. Then, hold it if you wanted to text or call someone. I work really well out the box and I was wondering if they have a good one for the N2. They one on this phone only reads text. And I can't figure how to get s voice to wakeup with my headset. Thanks for any help.
Hey guys,
I just wanted to call a hotline and I noticed that there is only a waterdrop tone instead of the traditional DTMF tones on my Samsung S4, Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
The issue is that you cannot navigate through the menu of the hotline. Pressing 1 or 2 key does not send the tone.
I saw that there is an older thread where a procedure is described, but since this is quite old I want to know whether someone figured out sth new.
Any solutions? Many people must have this problem, actually.
Cheers,
Sven
Just a hint what I can do???????????? I am very desperate right now, because I cannot call any hotline or service line. The dtmf tones do not work. You cannot even call eBay, since you need to press 1 at the beginning and you need to enter a code via the keypad.
