Hi Folks
I've got a NAS at home which I can easily connect to from my GS2 when out and about and I can view all my stored files (music, photos and vids)
These are remote files sitting on my NAS box at home and not locally stored on the phone or my SD card.
I can also select any of the remote music and photos files and they open just fine with the installed stock apps , but when I try and open a vid (avi & divx formats) the stock video app doesnt like it
I was wondering whether anyone has any recommendations on a video/media player that can open my vids (avi & divx) from a connection over the internet?
Thanks

Having a panasonic top notch smart tv, I am also wondering how to do this. Would suck if it only worked on samsung devices which I am starting to wonder
You might have to change some settings but i can access networked dlna devices just from the stock gallery app. I get a separate album for each device...

I have LG3d TV.
1. playing video on the LGTV using allshare play on GSIII was a no problem
2. MEDIA players servers to play on LGTV were also no problem
but playing MEDIA player SERVERS to play on my Mobile device ( GSIII), I wonder how?..
I always use bsplayer for streaming movies from my hd to phone.

Update: its just as simple as it is..
Requirements:
1. Wireless network
2. Media Servers (I use nero Media Home or Plex Media Server)
3. Wireless/Mobile Device smart phone (GSIII) or Smart TV (LG LW5700).
1. Open and start Stream Media Server
2. Import Videos SD or HD
3. Open Default Video Player of SIII then
4. tick scan for nearby devices
5. Wait till scan finishes (processing...)
6. Tick the movie you want to play
That's all Thank you..
additional note: in my experience GSIII is having trouble to scan the videos on the media server at first
then found them after during several scanning tries but once it loaded the video you can watch them with ease.
I dont know if it was a setting on my router or the media server thats making it hard to scan the videos.
if there are other methods it would be glad to share your inputs.

Can your dlna tv see your phone? I dont have a dlna ready tv but, I have a PS3 and with the software "PS3 Media Server" running, I can see my i9300 on my PS3, thus I can access the videos in my phone over the PS3 via dlna. I think the setup is pretty straight forward, except you will be running your bubble app from your phone instead of a pc/laptop.
Hello!
Is it possible (in any way) to stream desktop PC to android device?
I am talking 1080p with solid movie stream capabilities
I am aware of Splashtop but movies are not playing fluently via my wifi
thank you!
partly solved: could be done via Miracast, if THIS would be possible.
I want to stream videos from android s4 etc to my ipad directly without useing my home network or router any ideas.
