it all started when internet could not open a pdf file (cannot download because sd card was unmounted )
also the camera function didn't work anymore, when starting the camera software, i got an error saying there was no memory card.
i checked under settings for the storage and i see
-internal 1GB system storage and see it has limited data free
-internal 7GB SD card (i think shared drive with system). android is checking this disk for available capacity and then it disappears. i get SD card is unmounted
-external 16GB micro SD card that is mounted as SD-ext.
rebooting didn't help, then I performed a factory reset within the android OS: all settings gone, still no internal SD
then i went into recovery and performed a data reset, again everything working but still no SD card.
i have googled for yarvik noble 10c rom and found a pdf from yarvik website explaining in detail how to do a firmware upgrade. on the website there is no rom available. also the forum.yarvik.com doesn't excist anymore. sending an email to yarvik asking for help didn't got me any answer.
I installed CWM. i performed a backup from the image to my sd-ext and then looked at the files.
system.ext4 is empty (recovery.ext4 and boot.ext4 are good).
i also found some other rom's from yarviks with almost same specs. i can extract the system.img file from the image, but don't know how ik get them back on the tablet.
can't get the tablet in pc download mode (power on and sound+ pushed in). i only can get in recovery mode.
i download like 100tools the last hour and can't get anything working (like ADB). i using a win7 machine and not linux (my linux laptop is not working anymore) and it gets very difficult.
is there some way to use cwm to use img files to extract? or some other tool that can work in recovery?
how can I put a complete image on my external SD and perform a system restore? i used the original update tools but they don't see the device connected.
ADB has no connection while the tablet is waiting for adb commands. my computer lists no devices (win7, winXP and ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS).
contacted yarvik, no answer, contacted sweex, also ne reply. found on the internet that yarvik and sweex don't exist anymore. sweex has been bought by nedis, but yarvik not. gonna go to store today and see what they say. still have warranty but if no company can repair it anymore...

Yarvik as filed for bankruptcy so it will never support their devices ever again. They even taken down the page where the firmwares are located.
I have the same model bricked since june and never found any software that worked. If someone could supply an original rom from yarvik it would be great.

Bought a quad core Onda clone tablet (AOC Leopard hardware designation) from China - yes i know, i know, it was a bad idea but the spec was so good i thought it might get me into the tablet fun everyone seems to be having - i repair em but dont really have a lot of knowledge on the software side of things for hacking these things - although after the last two weeks of hacking the thing I am becoming a bit of an expert.
Here is a link to the same one albeit with a different manufacturer made up name - as you can see the spec (Quad core, 1Gb ram, 16Gb storage and hdmi) is amazing for the price of £42 I won it for at the auction so it was more of a plaything to learn on than a big purchase for me.
I am pretty good with Linux so be as technical as you need to be.
Basically the thing buggered up when my mate plugged in the wrong power supply and thankfully it still booted albeit with the OS or bootloader I suspect corrupted.
It is stuck on the Onda loading screen leading to my assumption that it is in a boot loop.
I have spent the last two weeks trying to find drivers for windows , a compatible os and a way to get it restored - ahh the perils of buying chinese!!!
Problem I have now is that the sdcard slot is completely snafu due to my careless and fat fingered fiddling and to be honest a slight bit of temper with the thing after two weeks of head scratching - do you blame me!!!
I have managed to get it recognised by windows by trying driver after driver on the internet until i found one that worked - the perils of buying a no name chinese clone are myriad.
Without the sdcard slot the problem is now worse as i have to use the usb slot connected to the pc and sideload the apps and os but thankfully that is sorted now - Have installed the Android development Bridge - SDK toolkit and adb devices linux command was coming up with no devices but i figured it out with a lot of fiddling with the android ini file in the user profile and the dev id in system device drivers in case anyone else is trying to figure that one out - its a very obscure fix but it works.
So all is swoopy and seemed to be going well until i got the same error i was getting with the sdcard when i tried to sideload a new os - sideloads the new "update.zip" perfectly and even passes the file verification but crashes out with the fatal "unexpected error" have tried Onda official zips and Cyanogenmod flashes but i reckon the problem is because the system is not rooted and doesnt have the cyanogen bootloader installed even though i rooted it with supersu before it went up the khyber so in essence I need root to get the new os on and yes "shell su" command doesnt work as the device is only in sideload mode - only option on the 3e emergency recovery mode on the tablet is either reload from usb , sideload from usb as well as the usual clear cache, reset system and clear user data.
I should add that the hardware isnt snafu as I can see my old files and the operating system on the flash drive when i use recovery mode (power button / up volume combo) - load from sdcard option when i choose browse to sdcard - Linux always mounts the onboard flash as sdcard and an external sdcard as ext-sdcard on a tablet or smartphone - so i can select sdcard and then browse the main flash storage where i can see all my movies , development programs apk's and the Linux system itself but obviously cannot do anything else other than browse the thing for a ZIP to upload onto the \temp which is then extracted by the Emegency recovery environment - checked for verification - it then seems to prepare to install but fails with as you say the usual "unknown error" which i only assume is because I dont have root i cant go any further.
Oneclick root doesnt work.
Also tried the pad product tool v1.05 for direct flash to the tablet using Ainol Novo 10 Captain firmware and it wont even work.
Flashboot adb doesnt work.
Rockchip android tool doesnt work.
Kinda running out of ideas now!!!
Ok ok so what i need to know is basically - Does anyone know if it is possible to root and install a new bootloader from the usb sideloader - ie Adb sideload "filename".
And yes i have tried the pinhole reset button on the back of the tablet and the wipe system and reload option in the recovery menu so hopefully there are some good techies on here who know how to su the bootloader and reload the os or if it is even possible!!!
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to fix my mistake since several days but no luck.
Few days ago I rooted and updated my phone to version VIBEUI_V1.5_1423_10_ST_K910 with Gapps. Everything went fine but then while I was cleaning up the phone from useless apps I made a huge mistake by unistalling a file or apk called Idea….something(can’t remember the entire name)! I thought it was a theme file as the name was very similar to another real one. After that a neverending popup started to appear and I decide to restart the phone. Never got it back! It remains stuck on Lenovo log. I’m able to get into stock recovery where on every test or sd card format it says sdcard not found. Same when I connect it on the pc, the autorun popup only, no storage.
Seems like the sdcard is not recognized anymore so I can’t even launch an sd update.
I’m pretty new on Android systems so I’m about to give up, I don’t really know what to do anymore.
I’m beg you for some help. Any advice will be more than welcome.
Thanks

Hi guys, is there any way to get access into the phone root by using some tool?
I can't see the sdcard and I can't boot the phone with fastboot.
Please help.
Unfortunately I didn't get many answers but fortunately I solved the problem so I believe it would be nice to share with whom may need it:
here you have the steps I followed:
- buy a OTG cable
- Buy a USB stick 2-4GB
- Format USB stick with FAT (!)
- Put sdfuse directory on it and a K910 .qsb image inside the directory
- Plug stick via OTG in the phone
- start phone with Vol- & Power
- Choose point 4 - SD Update from the Lenovo recovery Menu
Phone will show this picture then:
Attachment 2826922
- Hit "start"
- Wait
- Be Happy
- Buy me a cigar (Partagas Series D No.4 preferred)
That's it!
Cheers
Hi all, I just got an Transformer Intel based TF103C. Turned it on and it received all the OTA updates. I noticed on the Asus website that there's two firmware updates. WW 144 then following that the Lollipop update. Both of these files are zipped and there isn't a zip file inside the first one. I confirmed this many times despite reading that there is a zip inside the zip. I followed several instructions on how to get this thing to update and it just won't. Putting the zipped (and unzipped) files on a sd card and going into recovery mode but there's no "update from sd card" there. Just the ADB file transfer. So I tried ADB sideload, that didn't work with the authentication error. I left the zipped (and unzipped) on the sd card and started the tablet and it didn't detect any software update as the ASUS site says it will. I have also tried as recommended by ASUS putting the files in the root folder and it should detect the update. Nothing has worked at all. I would love to update this to Lollipop but it doesn't look too good. I'm not sure how others were able to get this done. If anyone has had any recent success flashing this thing with the ASUS files from their webiste please let me in on the secret. Otherwise I guess I'll be stuck at Kitkat...

Did you root the device? If so, it won't detect the updates. Unroot it first.
Otherwise you can load the signed image from your laptop when connecting the tablet via usb. Instructions in my post below:

Hello!
Sorry for bringing this rather old topic back to life, but I need some help with the ASUS TF103CG Tablet of my mother in law.
The device is the model K018 with german keyboard layout and docking station.
Currently Android 4.4.2 is running on this device, and I'd like to have Android 5 on it (who won't ...).
When I am looking to the system properties the built-number is called: KVT49L.WW_epad-11.2.2.18-20141003
I managed to root the device (by using rootzenfone-1.4.6.8r.apk) and downloaded the firmware UL-K010-WW-12.10.5.11-user from the ASUS homepage.
I found at least three different ways how to install this firmware (SD card, root directory and via recovery), but none of them worked.
I am sure I made a mistake somehow, maybe I understood the one or the other step wrong from the english instructions because I am not a native speaker ...
May you please give me some support?

Hello! First post here!
Just got a new STF-L09 on the amazon cyber Monday sale (had an iphone before) and in my excitement to start messing with it, I managed to brick it.
I was following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/beta-twrp-3-1-1-0-t3654355 and did a full format through TWRP to try and get rid of the encryption in order to root it. Now my device is in a bootloop. I've been looking through older posts here on XDA, boycracked and a few other places but there seems to be quite a bit of contradictory information and I don't want to make anything worse.
What I have:
- An unlocked bootloader
- Working TWRP 3.1.1
- ADB and fastboot (over USB from my laptop running linux)
- A microSD card
- Ability to boot to force update process
What doesn't work:
- my TWRP backup (I didn't realize the one I tried to make failed/got deleted).
- the stock eRecovery tool. Even on stable wifi it cannot retrieve package information from server. I'm assuming this is because Huawei hasn't made the recovery firmware available over this channel for this model.
I'm now trying to do a force update using a stock ROM and my external SD, but I'm having trouble for two reasons:
1. I'm not exactly sure what my initial firmware was, so I'm not sure which ROM to pick.
2. I can't successfully transfer the contents of the update.zip I'm trying to use into a dload folder on the root of my sd. I'm assuming this is because the sd card is formatted to vfat and the UPDATE.APP file is larger than 4GB and therefore not supported on vfat.
Can anybody tell me:
A. How to find out what my initial firmware designation would have been? Phone was recently purchased for UK market, blue colour, 64GB internal memory. Came with EMUI 5.1. I have S/Ns and so on if that helps.
B. How to perform force update with microSD in my situation? Can I format the card to NTFS or another format that supports >4GB filesizes? Am I using the wrong ROM (This is the one I'm trying to use: http://androidhost.ru/v5 )? What files exactly should go into /dload/ at the root of the sd?
C. Is there another procedure I should try in my case? I am able to use fastboot, and I understand it would be possible to flash files onto the device using that, but I'm just getting started with Android and I'm not really sure about the functions of the various images/partitions (eg. data, cust, boot etc.). Is there any hope of the eRecovery tool coming online?
I know some of you have had some success coming from similar situations. I'd really appreciate any help you guys could give. Happy to throw some dosh to anyone who can help put me back in business!
Fixed my own problem 5 minutes later with help from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/help/help-to-restore-l09-bootloop-t3651641
Wrote up my procedure there. But thanks anyways guys!

Hello and thanks for reading / helping if you can.
In brief, I have a Samsung Tab 2 GT-P3110 tablet which was running android 4.2.2. It's main use was as a controller for my sonos sound system which no longer supports my device. I thought I'd try and update it rather than simply chuck it into landfill for no good reason other than it was old like me! I know almost nothing about what I am doing, sorry!
So far I have I think 'rooted' the device using something called odin, and installed the clockwork recovery mod. I have also installed the Samsung drivers onto my PC and I have on my pc a zipped file which I believe will install a newer version of android (perhaps some guidance might be required for best file to go for). Unfortunately I am unable to see my tablet's sd card (or anything to do with the tablet) when connected to my pc via USB in order to copy it. Moreover I have copied the same file to a micro sd card but when I put this directly into the tablet and try and boot off the external card I get an access error and the card is not read.
I am out of ideas now and wonder if one of you clever people might be able to help me? I think I read somewhere about having to switch on USB debugging and USB sharing or the like BEFORE rooting. The instructions I used only mentioned the former and so that's all I did. Maybe I've locked myself out for good.
Thanks again, Pezos
Blimey, I really must have killed it! Surely someone out there can help me fix it?
