Anybody have this same or a similar issue, I use the HTC phone canvas (I have a non stock rom) When a phone call comes in I slide the bar to answer the call it slides over but never answers. The phone just continues to ring. It just continually Shows the screen with the bar all the way over. Does anybody know a way to either kill the slide to answer or fix the issue. I like the phone canvas and don't want to give it up, but this is a business phone and can't afford to continually miss phone calls.
Oh I am running the latest Louzeberry 6.5 rom
I had this same problem. I like the dialer but needed my calls more. So I just disabled it in the andvanced config setting!
did you disable the phone canvas all together or just the slide to answer. I don't care about the Slide to answer but I really like the phone canvas

Click to collapse
You can always find a cab for a different dialer without the S2A feature.
When this randomly happens to me, using the hardware key usually works.
Nope I had a problem even answering with the hardkey or my bluetooth headset. So I just disabled the entire canvas and stuck with the MS stock dialer. now that NRG has the Tachi Dialer it seems to be working ok. For now.
Hello, i just flashed my first ROM (SHIFTAO5P IC3.2.1 [IMOSEYON Lean Kernel 5.1) and so far everything seems fine except for the dial pad. When I click to have my dial pad show while in a call the number Zero, star and pound symbol overlap with the end call button, add and hide buttons. I've tried searching threads and playing with the options but cant seem to find anything to adjust the dialer to not overlap. I normally wouldn't care but the Zero button and End Call are overlapping and I've already accidentally hung up calls while trying to press zero to speak to an operator. Can anyone recommend a fix?
Thanks,
Same issue here

Hi all, I can't post in the developers section yet so I will ask my question here.
I am very happy with MIUI 2.4.20 on my GIO, very smooth, quick, lookin' great!
Just one small problem for which I have not yet found a solution.
(it doesn't seem a menu setting issue)
When I get called the phone rings only once and after that only continues to vibrate.
(that is: when it is set to vibrate on a call)
Otherwise it just rings once (without vibration selected) and the only way you can tell you're being called is by looking at the display.
A friend of mine has the same issue (also Gio), is there a fix for this issue or are we the only ones?
Thanks people,
Hans
I am new to these forums and to Android. I recently purchased the Verizon S4 and have rooted. I am basically giving myself a crash course in all this. Anyways, I am very disappointed with the screen when on a phone call. The keypad is too high and the interface looks remedial. Would someone please direct me or explain how to customize this myself? Thank you for any help
Hi.
Either my ninja skills in googling has lost it's mojo today, or what I'm looking for doesn't exist. Which would seem quite stange.
I have an old unused phone running Android 2.1, I think it's a Samsung GT-I5600 or something very similar. My three year old daughter have all the computers and tablets she could ever want, so I would like this one to be a very simple telephone that she could use to make calls to preset numbers and nothing else. I would like a screen lock that's easy to unlock and then just two big pictures or buttons. One for me and one for her mum. That button should make a call, and nothing else. Perhaps there could be a hidden preference whenever the call should be made thru the speaker or not.
To me this seems like something someone must have thought of before me, but as i wrote... I can't find anything like it.
Do you know of any app / lockscreen like this?
Turns out it was possible to achieve this, with a bit of fiddeling around, with Holo Launcher and Holo Lock. There are some quick call apps that seems promising too.
