For those who is using onscreen navigation key on MI3, thanks to GravityBox and Xposed, I believe you guys doesn't need to use the capacitive key on the bottom of your phone.
So why not change it to something useful?
The steps are simple, you only need to change a string in a system file.
Every time you touch the capacitive home button will be like pressing your POWER button and turn off the screen.
However it will not wake up your phone as it will require kernel modification which is not possible without the source code from xiaomi.
Now you don't need to worry of wearing out the power button.
Look for this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And change the string "HOME" to "POWER".
Reboot
Extra tips:
If you want to remove the function of Menu and Back key, you can do so by adding "#" in front the line
Or you can change the "MENU" string to "VOLUME_DOWN"
and "BACK" to "VOLUME_UP" to use them as volume button. No longer have to use the hard button ;D

Hello xda members.
My device has a mediatek chipset MT6592M and I dont have a developer specifically for my device.
So Im into porting marshmallow to my device.
After successfully porting marshmallow.
But whenever something goes wrong after my bad editing or something , and when my phone is stuck in bootloop and adb isnt accessible in pc , I have no other option but to flash my stock rom , then flash the custom rom i ported through recovery again.
When ever I press VolDown+Power button to boot into recovery I enter a Screen called BOOT Menu , like this
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I can use volume down to navigate through options , but I cant select any option using Volume Up or any other key like home button , back botton , option button.
Is there any way to remap hardware button for this Screen?
Help me guys
I have the dumbest problem ever. I just bought a Xiaomi fitness tracker, and I can't use it because in one of the screens during setup, the "next" button is hidden under Gboard. There's a back button that closes the app (stupid), but no other controls; no way to remove focus from the text field. Hitting return just creates a new line in the text box. Please help!

No, my notification bar (OxygenOS) doesn't have any keyboard options.
However, I was able to get around the issue by going into my phone settings ->Language and Input->change keyboard to SwiftKey->go back to the setup screen->tap the settings button on the Swift Key keyboard->and select "undock". This allowed me to move the keyboard up, finally revealing the next button.
These developers should be ashamed, truly.
I saw a g9 power in the shop today, and it had the 3 navigation keys but most screenshots on the internet dont show as it having them so does yours? I really want it to have them as i cannot operate on swipe gestures on any phone i couldent even unlock a iphone 12 because there wasnt a home button on it.
Tell me please!
If your phone didnt have it and it happenend in a software update please also tell me
Yes, it does. It has an option of either classic three-button navigation or gesture navigation, and I don't think Google will ever remove that option (it's still there in Android 12).
Here's a screenshot of the menu to change the navigation style, while using the 3 button navigation.

What do you mean by swap?
There is a way to remove the navbar without root:
How to Remove Navigation Bar on Non Rooted Pixel 6/Pro (works!)
(disclaimer) I take no responsibility on what following this guide does to your phone. EDIT: So, I found this guide online, tested it out and it works. Quick note on the guide. You'll want to add the "navigation_bar_height_landscape" = 0 in...

Sorry, to clarify I want to change the order of the navbar button. I want the back button (button 1) to replace button 3 (recent apps). So just switching navbar button order
