First you must root your phone ...use root explorer as for now there is no cwm
Then follow the procedures as mentioned here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658969&highlight=call+recorder
Don't forget to take copy from the mentioned file(sound_phone_original_rec.txt)
From the following path
system/etc/soundimage/Sound_Phone_Original_REC.txt
Use call recoder from play store called callrecorder by skvalex and choose HTC one x from configuration and then reboot and enjoy.
Note as mentioned from developer here
**this would let you record phone call but NO workable on speaker & headset

There is a BIG problem using sound_phone_original_rec.txt from "old" one x procedure.
After a call is recorded, ringtones are accelerated and barely udible.
Tried using lot of call reconrding apps, the problem is in the file, not in the software used.

Callrecorder by skvalex i working like a charm on my HOX+ 64Gb. European Version. And yea i'm facing the same problem with the acceleration of every sound sometimes. I had no idea what it was. So, if you guys are still into fixing this problem, hit me up too about the solution. Thank you!

No problem with acceleration at all. I choose WAV audio format in settings. All other settings by default for HTC One X
Well i had the problem on my (HOX+ 64Gb. European Version) although i had the same settings (wav) selected, but this, on the original ROM. Since i've installed the Maximus 4.0.0 ROM the problem has simply disappeared. So that solved the problem for me.
I'm having the problem of recordings being sped up when I replay them on my One x+. Any suggestions, or resolutions?

More details:
EDIT! So I'm using Auto Call Recorder, and whenever I try to play back a call, it is indeed sped up. If I send it to my desktop, I can play it back normally, without alterations. The player seems to be playing it back at a different bit rate. My ringtones and notifications are all playing at this faster speed as well...
I'm on viper 2.0.0 international.. I've installed everything correctly and it works fine instead of play back on the application... I can't hear anything xD maybe I could hear something on computer but maybe it doesn't work at all?
Does anyone can confirm that it's working or not?
Edit: no sound at all from the recording file.
Q: why "standard app" in recording setting is unavailable?
Q2: is there any new way to call recording? which is working and does not speed up the sound all around system?
please confirm recording on HOX+

Call recording needs to be supported by the kernel and as you might guess now, it is not on any available Kernel for HOX+.

hi after two week no news:crying::crying::crying:
Has anyone who already purchased the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 been able to confirm if 2way in-call recording works across mic/speaker, speakerphone, and/or bluetooth headset?
Is additional software required, i.e., CallRecorder, Total Recall, etc.?
Thanks.
I can't say for sure if it works without root but I just rooted mine and installed call recorder the called voicemail and it picked up both sides.
I'm downloading root now.
Did you test the call recorder with a blue tooth headset and were you able to hear both sides?

Will someone who is rooted please try call recorder app by skvalex. From the play store. You will also need to download Alsa app by skvalex as the Samsung exynos processors require the use of the Alsa app in conjunction with the call recorder app. Hoping blue tooth call right cording works once Alsa is installed. You have to go into settings in call recorder and then go to advanced experimental features to download and activate Alsa app.
Thanks in advance.

Well this sucks ballz.
i'm afraid we're going to need a custom kernel to get call recorder app working. if you look at the original note (both at&t and international) forums, you'll see that the exynos processeors route the call audio completely differently (the kernel controls). VS. Qualcomm chipsets which route directly from audio source to the DSP chip inside the phone....
long story short....we're going to need some kernels for each gnote 2 (i.e. sprint, verizon, at&t, tmobile)....frankly, I"m a verizon customer, so hopefully some of our talented rom / kernel chefs will take a note of this thread and build a kernel that works.....
the waiting begins.....fingers crossed....

ok. I did enable it and I've got two folders call recorder and recorder. on call recorder folder I get nothing and on recorder I get a few seconds after 20 seconds of audio but I don't hear nothing. I do turn on call recorder on call screen. do I need to install a third app to work.?
on mine on the top (iirc) there's the 3dot menu (in the phone app itself). in there was the call recording option.
on mine it doesnt do it automatically. but that's ok IMO. at least it records.
I got that too but when I play back the audio it gives me a few seconds of play but I don't hear nothing. I'm giveing up call recorder on my xzu for now coz nothing is working for me now. Maybe later thanks guys...

Androrec works perfectly on my C6802
In settings of the app, make sure you choose MPEG4 as recording format, and choose MODE 2 for recording.
It works perfectly, and if you want to record LOTS of calls like me, go the paid version, which allows you to save recording folder in SD card as an option.

androrec does not work in 4.3 it seems (did not try when my Ultraz was 4.2 but I had it working in 4.1.2 LG with mpeg4 and mode 2) Now it does not work in any mode combination (tried all)...mode 1 is the only mode that gives any sound at all and then it is only my voice (rest are all blank no matter amr, mpeg4, 3gp)
Sorry to hear that. I'll just hope that when kitkat comes out I'll be able to use call recorder.

I don't think it's possible... I'm still trying to find solutions for cm 10.2 (android 4.3). The easiest way is to flash stock roms. I just tried Omega v24, but reverted back to cm because i don't like in any way the stock rom look. The call recording on Omega works great though.
In your place i would forget call recording on CM/AOKP roms.
I wasn't able to find absolutely any solution for call recording on any CM/AOKP based roms above 4.1.2 (even though i read somewhere around here that call recording is possible for 4.2.2 roms).
If you find any solutions please inform me, maybe it will help me as well.

I forgot to specify something. If you want LINE recording, then i don't think that is possible. MIC recording on the other hand is a different story. Most call recording apps in the play store support MIC recording (not sure about CM 11, but CM 10.2 works), but again, low chances for LINE recording support. Hopefully you will find something that suits your needs.
try acr call recorder. I think it worked on paranoid android rom. the quality will not be very good but it will be better than the microphonE recording.

I received your log files and checked them.
There is a bug in your Galaxy Note GT-N7000 phone - when a call comes sometimes the ROM doesn't notify the recorder correctly, as several other phones like HTC One E8, Galaxy 7102 etc,
We changed our app and it now can bypass this bug, I have sent the new version V7.2 (beta) to you by email, please install it and test again.

there are a few ways to record calls with the pixel 6, some work and some only work with exact settings. what are you using and what setting do you use? please put what system update you are on also please.
1. call recorder- SKVALEX, paid App. works very well on pixel 6. Recording files can be encrypted or uploaded to the cloud.
2. workaround to use google dialer to record. also works well for me here in China.

Axet call recorder, use the magisk module and do NOT accept the update.
GrapheneOS is implementing call recording based on LOS call recording, but with additional setting for automatic recording: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/platform_packages_apps_Dialer/pull/11

Thanks for that. I've been using the mod that enables the built-in Google Phone app recording but you have to click it manually on each call. Also doesn't seem to save a recording unless you press "stop recording" before ending the call. Could just be my settings. It's this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-root-googledialermod.4330055/. Has a ton of other settings that I haven't looked into as well. The Axet 1.713 (called v1.0.1 on the Github page) works perfectly and sounds a little clearer with the .mp3 and CD quality suggestion.

Use BCR: https://github.com/chenxiaolong/BCR
If you look under "releases", the zip file it provides is a MAGISK MODULE.
This program is way simpler, and way more reliable than axet, which is pretty much perpetually broken these days.
