This is a question about the region of branding updates.
Can somebody tell me the difference between VMo EU1, - EU2, - EU3 and - EU4?
Thanx

the main difference is in preinstalled bloatware.

Thanx,
I flashed EU1 first, than EU4 (because i though that was the right one).
But they're just the same to me.
Same bloatware as far as I can see.
(I'am from the Netherlands-and there was no NL update in flashtool)
After downloading both, i could see small differences inside.
Hi guys,
I am new here, trying to find out what would be the most suitable firmware for my SGP321. Can you please advise how to check it and where from I can download it?
I am from Poland and I want to get rid of any external apps from my fw.
Thanx!

You can identify your tablet's current firmware's region, branding, customization, and version by reading its \system\build.prop file. You can find the latest released firmware version listed in Apollo89's thread HERE.
Thanks for explanation.
I also noticed that Flashtool contains all firmware versions and supports download if necessary.

I got a 10.1 3G version today in the UK and the first thing I did was a KIES update.
The firmware that's now installed is P7500BUKI1 (Bravo Uniform Kilo India One).
I've done a google and can only find one reference to this firmware, is it brand new?
I've also done a google search and a search here for how to dump a firmware and can't seem to find a useful howto, could someone point me at one possibly?
Thanks
Would be great if you could find a way to get the firmware uploaded - been trying to get the tab back to a stock UK firmware for a while now!
Does Kies not store the downloaded firmware?
I found out how to do a CWM backup so have done one and now have a fullset of .img files.
If someone can point me at a howto to extract them I can try to put together a recovery zip for you.
ok cheers. I tried to do a quick search to see if I could help, but I can't!
Is yours a carrier version? Is the CSC XEU or did you buy a Tab in the UK that's from another country? Mine's an October build and this is what shows in Kies:
PDA:KHD / PHONE:KG1 / CSC:KH3 (XEU)
There aren't any updates available which is unusual if they've already started shipping units with a newer build. Is the new ROM 3.1 or 3.2?

KI1 is a September build, it is Android 3.1. I have been running Italian (ITV) KI1 firmware for some time already and it is really smooth.
If you can give us more information then we probably can find this firmware on Samsung servers.
Please post the contents of following files (you don't need root to access these files, you just need a file explorer):
system\CSCVersion.txt
system\csc\customer.xml Only one line: <SalesCode>???</SalesCode>
From Settings > About device:

KH3 XEU was just released three weeks ago on the delayed 32GB and 64GB P7500's that were all built in October. What OP received is probably that update (along with carrier customizations) that's being pushed out to Vodafone Tabs. This is especially true if it's 3.1. I'd guess the next general XEU update will be to 3.2.

I know, and it is exactly what I need so that I can get my tab back to the stock XEU firmware that I have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to get!

Hi,
I bought my SGS 2 on ebay. The phone is unlocked, but was on Vodafone and hence have Vodafone apps which won't work anyway.
I'm using a TESCO SIM which basically uses O2.
Now my question is how can I update to ICS.
Since the phone is vodafone branded but now on TESCO/O2 SIM, please help me updating to ICS.
I cannot use the generic from Samsung KIES as the current firmware is from Voda and cannot use Voda update as I'm not using thier network.
Phone details are
PDA:I9100BUKJ3
Phone: I9100BUKI1
CSC:I9100VODKI2
thanks

You wait for Vodaphone to push the update out .
Or you start reading and searching and use the Samsung stock ICS firmware if you want ICS NOW .
Millions of posts asking the same question not hard to find .

you could try to check if have "I9100" model, not the "19100G" or other variants, then you can start from there.
if you're have "I9100" then generic roms would be fine. (LPQ, LP7, LP2)

Thanks For the reply.
I'm planning to do this
1. Debrand to generic UK ROM that is 2.6.4
2. Go to KIES get the ISC.
Please let me know if this will work ?
Also Please let me know which UK Generic ROM 2.6.4 can I use. I'm confused looking at the Inrtatech's post. Not sure what they are ? Please point me to the exact one please.
Thanks

It might but it all depends upon the codes your phones shows .

Their is no exact one ..
If you really must have ICS then download a latest version stock from .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559170
You really only have two choices KIES updates as and when you get them .
Or XDA developers forum flash stock roms via Odin on day of release .
two methods dont really mix and match .
GB 8/10 ICS current release 3/10 not good enough for my phone .

based on your original post, you want to update to ICS, now you're saying "2.6.4", there's no such thing as "2.6.4", do you mean 2.3.6?
if you want to debrand and update to ICS, there's no need to install 2.3.6, you can install ICS and wipe your data, and you're good to go.
for are i think 3 stable versions of ICS, LPQ(which is UK), LP7(indonesia) and LP2 (russia) if you really want a UK version, use LPQ(but i has an sms bug which sends sms twice when using 3rd party apps).
I'm currently using the generic AU firmware and i want to know which countries firmware has the fastest and "stable" updates to the device.
And just a few random questions regarding the firmware that you guys are using on your devices:
- Why have you opted to use that firmware for your device?
- What variations in software did you guys notice when you flashed another countries firmware?( eg. the different bloat/preinstalled software on that specific countries firmware)
- Did you see a drastic change in performance when you jumped to another countries z2 firmware ( this question is in regards to .314 to.314 not .55 to .314 etc)
- Why did you opt to use the stock firmware that you received with your device and instead of flashing another countries firmware?
- From what i heard using the flashtool to flash another countries firmware doesn't void you warranty, is this true?
I'm merely interested because i want to have the best experience and have the latest updates as fast as possible without the need to continuously flash different firmwares to get the latest experience.
.314 ftf should be same everywhere except for baseband...I am using 314 after rooting, removing some bloat and unrooting...battery life is amazing... Easy 2 days without charge

Why did you unroot again?
I prefer it that way...that way I am not accidentally deleting system files from ES file Explorer and also getting rid of files and bits leftover by the root exploit (which are by definition viral in nature ) just makes me feel more secure....
Generic German seems to provide quite regular firmware updates and overall has great stability.

I believe there is a bug that affect all .314 FW - those firmware have trouble getting OTA. Did you receive updates on the AU .314 software?
Flashed Generic German 314 last night. Working very smooth. Hope i will still receive OTA updates. But will wait and see about that.

That's a thread I made, but unfortunately no one has come up with a solution. It also might be a server side error.
I'll keep you posted if I find something out.
EDIT: I just quickly flashed the AU FW, but still no go. If you revert to previous firmware (.402), all updates are displayed properly. That's an obvious glitch with the new FW and all regions are affected.

Firmware I'm using - Stock
Why I'm using it - Because I can
Was Using Envi-OS ( Testing )
then was using Envi-OS M-Server (more testing)
Then switched to Envi-OS Touch (Testing some more)
Then i was on Stock because i like Stock UI n stuff although having huge issues that i dislike
now i am waiting for my damndable replacement Z2
i noticed no changes Across Global firmwares for Z2, aka Stock Generic or CM11
Hi, new to the forums and had to register because I require stock firmware for my tablet as I want to sell it..
So I have SGP511 firmware cause I installed one after rooting it (or trying to) and I noticed when formatting it the regions I get asked to select aren't what came up when I originally got the device, so i.e Austria, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland I believe. I'd like it to say United Kingdom and what ever else was there before.
I can't for the life of me find the correct FTF for this, any help please?
I don't know if there was a SGP512 in the first place, but if it can say that I guess that would be a bonus.
Maybe I'm searching for the wrong things.
Thanks in advance.
Still need this
Use XperiFirm to download.
FlashTool to create the FTF yourself.

Well, Match the firm ware versions like this
KII-L22 /// C636 ///
& go to settings, there will be a cust or number starts with Dxxx
match these to any firmware from file depot thread from @clsA
flash the matched firmware via force update method mentioned in file depot thread
hope this helps... quote me or post if you need any further help.
cheers ^_^
