I'm rooted and would like to tweak the volumes to something acceptable to me. I have tried nearly all vol tweak apps in the play store and nothing really helped. There may have been one that simply overdrived the audio stream and that's it. If something worked for you on the Venue 8 please post!
Anyone successful or know the location of the conf file I need to edit? ?

I've been using a sound clip from one of my favorite old DOS games as a boot sound and I've been very disappointed to find that there is a 7 second limit to PowerOn.wav. The file still plays but only the first 7 seconds. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this limit and how we can disable it?
P.S.
If you're wondering what awesome DOS sounds I've been using I've attached the clip. Betcha can't guess that game.
Mechwarrior
Fixed file to 7 sec for you, deleted the beep at the end and remove a little silence here and there.
File is now only 7 sec long.
NICE team work....I'll drop a thanks just 'cus.

Thanks a lot for your work but the length of the file was never the issue and I'm more than capable of editing audio files. The problem is that the phone only plays the first 7 seconds of the file no mater how long the file is. I want to hear the whole 9 seconds of audio.
I wish I knew how to make it longer then 7 seconds for those of us that do not know does someone mind explaining the process of changing ones boot up sound
In case anyone had any interest in this boot sound I did a little creative editing on it. It now has less static and fits inside the time limit without trimming off the beeps. I also found that the exact time limit is actually 325,000 samples @ 44100 Hz or 7.36 seconds.
great info to know...helped me fix a problem i was having thanks
Where does this go in root explorer?... What directory?

you have to extract the PowerOn.wav file to your system/etc folder.
Hi,
I like the keyboard click sound of the Windows 7 phone. The sound file is included in the GoKeyboard app. I renamed the apk file to zip and opened. I could see all the images (graphics) used in the application. But, I couldn't find the audio file. Can an audio file be stored somewhere else. How do I find it?
The sound of Windows 7 phone keyboard click is very soft and pleasant. I want to replace my default phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) click sound with the Win 7 sound file.
Or, if anybody already have the audio file of the Windows 7 click audio file, please provide the link where I can find it.
Thanks.

Google for the sound. Am sure it has been uploaded somewhere.
It's quite possible that the audio is a midi sequence generated live if you couldn't find it or it might be in res. It's also possible that the audio was downloaded after you installed the app and stored somewhere else.
If you couldn't find it in apk, it would be pretty hard to search everywhere else unless you have a clean phone.
Just Google for the sound. Am sure someone else has uploaded it.
They're in/ assets/keysounds

How to decode
I've got some rare mp3 sound files with good meditation inside apk. Extracted them with apktool but they looks encoded somehow. How to encode them to make them listenable? If anybody know please help!
Hello,
I rooted my Nexus 7(Wifi only), v4.2.1, with the Nexus 7 Toolkit v4.0.0.
Since then the Equalizer presets from google's music app is gone
and I cannot adjust the bass boost or 3D effect. Does anyone know
what I can do to fix this?
Appreciate any help, Thanks!
Update: I just restored back to stock and that solved the problem. May try to root again in future.
Maybe during the root process something went wrong.

I don't know. The only other thing I can think of that I did was install the Beats audio driver.
Maybe that was the culprit. Haven't tried rooting again yet. I'll update as soon as I do.
7:20 PM)Update: I re-rooted the Nexus 7 and all is well. The Equalizer works and has all the presets.
So the problem must have been caused by the Beats Audio Installer.
Credit to styckx for starting the previous one.

Nope...
BT headset audio extremely loud by default. Gets hinky as you try and lower it (raising it seems to work fine).
Only one device to test it with so far (LG TONE 730).
Works fine with HTC One and Nexus 10 on 4.3.

FLAC Files Distorted
FLAC files keep skipping and are coming out very distorted on 4.4, did a full restore to both builds of 4.4 and the issue still stands with play music and even winamp. Is there any solution to this?
Exchange email will not sync after initial setup. Same issue on my N4 running 4.4 KRT16S.

I am currently using Poweramp to play FLAC files, no skip or stuttering. Works OK when sleeping also.
Getting parse Error when trying to install apks outside of the market, no matter what apk. Unknown soures enabled of ourse.
Stock KRTS16, BL Unlocked, rooted.
Nevermind, looks resolved, no idea what I did to resolve it though...
The OTA Kitkat update appears to have broken video streaming playback (on my local network). For whatever reason, it's now very choppy and it is impossible to watch anything.
Anyone else having the same experience?
Might be just me, but when sending an email via the stock email app it will only give you the option of attaching either a picture or video? You can "share" a file via email and it will attach okay, but if you are say, replying to an email and need to attach a PDF there is no option to attach anything other than picture or video? Used to be just "attach file" did it not?
I was browsing using opera. After a crash, I did try using chrome. It crashed then and the device rebooted.
Did exeperience this once till now.
Is anyone else having issues with the screen timeout? I have mine set to 1 minute and my screen never turns off.
Using Redmi note 10. There is no audio when I am using Xiaomi native screen recorder in conjunction with Line App and Zoom App. Mine is MIUI Global 12.0.5 Stable. Any advise?

Same situation. Try third party?
I tried third party App. No joy. All have the same problem. Unable to record internal or system sounds. Wondering if China ROM will work?
If what the internet is right and Google denies recording of internal system sounds. Note 10 is indeed missing Internal Audio Plugin. We will have to reflash with another ROM. Or... cos note 10 is new... Maybe an earlier ROM from Note 7. But again doing research on the internet. It's does says Android 11 beta have returned native screen recorder the ability to record again. So... I am perplexed. Comments and suggestions please ?
Currently, I am using my old Redmi Note 7 with MIUI 12.0.3 (QFGCNXM) Stable, Android 10 to do all my video audio recorder on Line and Zoom Apps.

Android 11 has a lot of restrictions and limitations. Using Android 10 would be a smarter move untill its figured out.

Yes. I think that is a spendid idea. Thank you Orian.
Try to change the settings in Screen Recorder apps. If the sound problem is still, try to use headset/ headphone (plug 3,5mm audio jack) when you use the apps.
Rather than creating new thread, I would ask again here the similar question, although my question is a bit more specific, it's about video-call.
Hopefully someone with valid solution can help explain how.
If my question doesn't get answer here, perhaps I will create a new thread for my question, because my question is more specific and may be different than this thread's original topic.
-------
So;
My question is;
How can we,
–using this Redmi Note 10 & stock MIUI (for me it's version 12.5.4 and Magisk rooted now.. and also I installed ViperAudio, if that maybe influencing the result)–
ScreenRecording a video call
–and record both, the video and also the audio of the video-call session/conversation,
using any video-call app like WhatsApp, Duo, Viber, or etc?
Because everytime I try, it only can record the video, but cannot record the audio, especially the voice of person who talks to me.
Hoping for explanation.
Thank you in advance.
