[Q] Cyanogenmod 11 Sec Calendar apk with forward invite option - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All, I am really impressed with the Samsung stock Splanner apk which has got the "forward invite" option for calendar schedule.
I don't see that option in cyanogenmod sec calendar apk. Can anyone please release a new sec calendar apk with the "forward invite" option.
Thanks.

[Q]Default reminder time on i9300 calendar

On the i9100 one thing that bugged me was the lack of being able to enter a default reminder time for new calendar entries.
Is this the case on the i9300 as well? I find it annoying as I dont want to forget to set a reminder by accident and miss an appointment or something.
Been using the AOSP calendar for now.
Thanks
On a related note can AOSP calendar be installed on a none AOSP rom on the i9300
In S Planner, you can set the default reminder time under Settings. It's in the "Event Notification" section.

So I take it the stock calendar still lacks the option. Don't understand why Samsung won't add this

[Q] calendar widget

Hi everyone
I recently changed to touchwiz ux launcher, coming from launcherpro. I was wondering if there was any widget like the go calendar widget, meaning a scrollable month overview, a little mark on the days with an appointment, and possibility to click on the days to make/view an appointment then. Thanks in advance
I would suggest you take a look at Jorte Calender:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.johospace.jorte
thanks, yeah i saw that but haven't really tried, but if i'm right that's a whole calendar app, so can this widget show the appointments of the stock app? or maybe if i sync with google in both apps... if anyone knows advice is still welcome, but i'll give that a try soon
just for the record, i've just found android pro widgets, it's calendar widget does exactly what i want, if anyone else has the same problem: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rdr.widgets.core

You can sync it with google to show the same appointments as the stock app. But android pro widgets is a good hint, looks promising. Maybe i can use it for myself.
thank you for this!! finally a go calendar like widget (better actually) that works at higher DPI resolutions !! (SIII at 240dpi)

"Themer Calendar" issue

This happens on every Theme
When you click on the Calendar widget hotspot/text and Themer asks you what Calendar to use, and you select your Calendar of choice, every time you click on that hotspot/text instead of launching the Calendar you chose it tries to "create new event". This happens regardless of the Calendar chosen.
In order to make the widget function properly, I have to manually edit the widget to directly launch my Calendar app instead of launching "Themer Calendar"
This makes Themer unbearable to use for me as many widgets have several text spots that launch "Themer Calendar" and I have to edit them all in order to avoid this behavior. I have mentioned this problem months ago but nothing has been done to rectify this.
Galaxy Note 3 running stock 4.4.2 (unrooted)
Please look into this, I cannot use Themer without being frustrated until this is fixed.

Hi,
We have found the cause of this problem, and have a ticket to fix it queued up.
If you have more than one calendar app, then after you choose one, tapping on a Calendar Themer Action icon or hotspot will always open the New Event instead of going to the calendar. If you disable or uninstall one of the duplicate calendar apps, then this won't happen.
This may also be related to the New SMS issue. Basically the same issue, just with the SMS app instead. The developers are still looking into this however.
We hope this helps!

In order to disable the default calendar app, I would need to be rooted, so that is not an option for me. Looking forward to a fix, and thank you for responding. I'll go up the GP rating to 4 stars for the response, 5 stars after it's fixed.

Widget Locker alternative

Hi,
i just came from Z3C Android 5. I used Widget Locker to show widgets on lockscreen. Unfortunately the app is not Marshmallow compatible.
Is there another app that can do the same? I want to see my mails (gmail widget) and calendar on the lockscreen without unlocking the phone every time i check a new mail.
Thanks,
Syd

Transparent Google Calendar Widget for Android???

Does anyone have a transparent calendar widget for the Google Calendar? I spent yesterday evening looking for one, and I did find Simple Calendar - I've become familiar with the Simple line of products - but I just couldn't get it to interface with my Google Calendar.
I'm hoping that someone can help me with a transparent widget that they might've made or come into as I'm looking to get rid of the calendar icon and use a widget. However the Google Calendar widget is just hideous and garish if you're really into theming your device.
OR, if you can possibly walk me through the steps of interfacing the Simple Calendar with the Google Calendar? I'm really just looking to import/export everything so that it's saved to my Google account in case of loss of device or factory reset. I've had phones that this wasn't the case and I'd lose everything, recently had the loss of a Moto G4 and had to replace it on the fly with the Moto G5. I simply signed in and the calendar was just there because it was saved at mother Google and not on the device itself. If I could get the interface problem licked I'd be just fine with Simple...

Use chronus or any numerous calendar apps on play store with customizable widgets. Or try team blackout's clear google calendar here on xda. Or use a substratum theme.

Did you ever find the transparent Google calendar? I'm searching for it and can't find it on XDA. Can someone drop a link?

Search team blackout apps. Only Google Calendar available i know that is black or clear. It is an older version but should still work. If not you would need substratum to to theme it.

I just published the following high customizable agenda widget

Hope you find it useful
@jsalatas:
Thank you very much! Your widget is just what I was looking for!
P.S.: How often does the widget update itself? I have noticed that it does do it automatically, but do not know if it is somehow push based or a set intervall
